    in the riff matt slides to the 12th on the 1st string. it's thicker, heavier and makes the riff both easier and more badass.

    The solo is supposed to be played on the D string from the 11th fret, with a pull-off to the open string after each fretted note.

      I like so much how you play the solo, on my guitar, the 2nd and 3rd string on the 17th fret sound awful, and with your tuto I can play this song, so just thank

    The hammer on pull off section actually starts in the D string 12th fret, what you did on the G string sounds the same except for all the open G notes while pulling off as oppose to D.
    Also the whole octave section is wrong. That's how I learned it, started listening to the song and realized it was wrong, now I'm looking for the right tutorial

    Great video, all your "tricks" for having a better sound are really helping. But why don't you add a guitar TAB on the screen as you play a specific part? It would be some much easier to follow you.

    Congratulations, it was amazing. How good you are Could you tell me where I can get the backing track of your cover. I've searched it in many places and I only find garbage. I would appreciate it very much. Keep it up. Thank you from México.

    The solo: on the video, it seems that Matthew plays it on the fourth string, not on the third one!

      Theonlymightydem yeah you are right, saw that also. Thanks for pointing it out.

    • @mfsgoeshard
      @mfsgoeshard 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's because Matt has a 7 stringed guitar...

    • @Theonlymightydem
      @Theonlymightydem 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, this song is played on a standard guitar on drop-D. It's got nothing to do with the 7th string.

      oh. ok then

    • @FakeSmileClown

      Theonlymightydem Matt also uses a Fernandes sustainer which makes the strings more responsive with pulls and hammer-ons. That's also how he gets the harmonic tones during live performances.

    I'm new to playing the guitar but I'm just wondering why your guitar sounds a lot more electronic and more like the actual song than mine, I have an electric guitar and an amp by the way

    The solo has a D root, so it has to be played on the D string (i made the mistake too :) )

    the octaves part is confusing me, I can't see what strings your fingers are playing, do you have a tab please?

    • @Digitalstereoguitar
      @Digitalstereoguitar  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** octaves essentially means i am play two notes that are 1 full ocatave apart, or 8 notes apart. So if my first note is a D for example on the 5th Fret of the 2nd String (A string) then the next note would be 8 notes up, so a higher D on the 7th Fret if the 4th String (G). Play these together you'll play an octave chord. Hope that helps
