But pressure loss will be very high which will cause damage This joint is not right may be joint will be very strong but other part may damage due to high pressure loss in one side
You’ve put an obstruction into the pipe. A small restriction to the flow and a place where debris may hang up. If there is not alternative, fine-but an outside fitting seems more desirable.
@@Alex-Tips That’s fine. However, that specifically is never mentioned in the “silent” video. One might therefore assume some folk watching such will assume the technique shown is a workaround without potential problems.
I'm no plumber, but I'm willing to bet this has to be a code violation introducing toxic glue material to the inside of a pipe waterline if this is for drinking water or hot water that can melt it loose over time and cause massive failure. That's why I think a sleeve fitting on the outside is the correct and desired approach, not this makeshift Temporary solution for lack of not having the proper materials for the job from the get go. I wouldn't try this. I'd just wait till I get the proper fitting to join them. Sorry, but this is a fail and should be an instructional on what not to ever do. 🙅🤦♂️
This method reduces internal diameter, instead of putting small size pipe peace inside use bigger size pipe from outside to keep internal diameter same all the time, which is responsible for good water flow.
A much more durable connection can be obtained in the first method, which the author considered bad, it was enough to properly tear the pipe so that the length of the socket was the same as the diameter of the pipe, add glue or put a flat rubber gasket on the pipe with a smaller diameter. In addition, these pipes look to me like pipes not for liquids, but for electrical installations, so if they were to be laid in the ground, the connection point should be wrapped with a special rubber tape.
I admire your ingenuity in developing this method, I wish you positivity. BUT as an electrician who regularly pulls cables through long runs of PVC conduits, these internal pieces would just get in the way and increase the likelihood of causing damage to the insulation and/or conductors. Not only that, but this would not satisfy Code.
I did it. I listened to him and didn’t listen to you. Now what are you gonna do? And that pipe will clog with what? You don’t even know the application. And clog in two years? Where did you get two years from? Get off your soap box; you know nothing, Alexander Vinogradov. Btw, I did this trick to connect a 4” PVC bathroom exhaust fan duct to the 4” side of a 4” x 3” PVC reducer to ultimately connect to the 3” diameter flexible duct going to the roof. IT WORKS!!!
Not suitable for high pressure water sources, there is a risk of water leaking right at the cut, but it is also a good idea for constructing drainage pipes.
Thank you very much.. good bless you.. very help full to me as farmer.. this is crazy part to rejoint , before that I used torch burner.. very hard to fix when do alone..
Отлично! Сделал заужение и препятствие внутри трубы, увеличил риск негерметичности и протечки, зато снаружи как красиво! Видео о том, как нельзя делать!
No don't do it this way! There's so many points that that can leak heating the pipe and sleeving it would be better. The best way would be to make or buy an external. You could use an internal sleeve but use a solid pipe.
Agree with Richard. The heating is a lot better on joint integrity. it is easy, but this video fake it like a hard job. I never fail doing it. This video method will easily leak on that opening internal sleeve, as it only has glue covering the gap. I think this video misguides people. Don't make excuse on temporary solution, you just didn't do it fair on heating the pipe.
This may work if you don't need enough pressure. If this don't come off soon enough in boosted PSI from a water pump, the friction created will just reduce the desired PSI.
If you are running electrical cables through it, that may be OK, but for water, you just reduced the flowing capacity of the pipe and someone also pointed out that dirt can accumulate more easily over time.
I have a video on how to connect pipes. in which there is a way to connect like this, but the steps are slightly different to overcome the disadvantages. you can refer to that video
Please watch this video in which I have overcome the disadvantages of this connection. "Summary Of Simple Ways To Connect Plastic Pipes Not Everyone Knows Tips And Tricks Pvc Pipes"
This created a sharp-edged lip and necking down the pipe diameter. Think snag point for food, T.P., turds, etc in a drain and turbulence that disrupts flow in a process pipe. Likely to leak. Use a coupling or street fitting. Maybe this could work for a cheap vent....
for thoese who said it code flow problem that is right. but this can be good for diy project where you need pipe as poll or something for structure not liquid flow and you don't have tools for this kind of joints. example i am planning on making a small football goals for kids out of some old pvc pipes that around
Think good for bigger than 2 inch pipes and you are in an emergency, and cannot wait for coupling.
that's right, buddy. it's true for certain cases, it's the case you're referring to. but filming here I can only simulate with a small tube
But pressure loss will be very high which will cause damage
This joint is not right may be joint will be very strong but other part may damage due to high pressure loss in one side
It will cause blockage
As a plumber, I'm glad for this video, because it means that I'll have jobs for the rest of my life.
It's probably good for a cable conduit.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 was looking for this comment, this is going to leak from hat inner pipe cut point like a mofo 😂😂😂
It took me a while 😅😅😅😅 but will be fine for dry projects!😂
No, the interior edge may cause waste accumulation by considering long of time, it may obstruct the flow.
thank you for comment
i'm agree with you
and leak
Considering the waste accumulation, it'd better set the source pipe insert into the drain pipe.
Exactly.
You’ve put an obstruction into the pipe. A small restriction to the flow and a place where debris may hang up. If there is not alternative, fine-but an outside fitting seems more desirable.
This is a temporary solution when you have not yet bought specialized accessories

@@johnluiten3686 yes. thank you. maybe I still have a lot of problems to improve in the way the content is communicated. I will change gradually.

There's a difference between arts and crafts and plumbing.

Easy fitting use coupling.
Yes all rigt. . Frist step .
This method is useful only when all the stores are closed due to pandemic. Otherwise go for a traditional straight connection using a straight joint.
it applies to emergencies
it will be very useful when work in night and the store is closed and need to finish the job immediately.. thanks for sharing
yes, thank you very much, and you can apply it to the ventilation duct
This looks good. But, considering the flow of liquid first one is better. The second one causes a slight obstruction to the flow..
My thought, too!
yes. the 2nd one it applies to certain cases

Dont do this! That pipe will clog in 2 years because there is a lip inside

very creative idea, worth a try when there is no burning media
thanks bro
so creative😊
Just created a flow restriction and possible clog point. Just get the right part for the job.
yes, i will find a way to fix the problem

Flow of water get reduced. External beauty is not concidered
If the water pressure is not too great and the cut between the two pipes is tight and combined with the glue, it will not be lost
@@Alex-TipsWhat type of glue is that? What's the brand name?
Отлично! Сделал заужение и препятствие внутри трубы, увеличил риск негерметичности и протечки, зато снаружи как красиво! Видео о том, как нельзя делать!

Do you have a similar approach for a T joint as well?

what you mean is to connect the 3 ends of the pipe to the letter T
@@Alex-Tips yes, exactly
Very good❤
thanks for your video. great trick
This may work if you don't need enough pressure. If this don't come off soon enough in boosted PSI from a water pump, the friction created will just reduce the desired PSI.
Internal diameter of the pipe decreased hence fluid pressure may drops
Pressure does not drop, flow does. Pressure will actually increase with restriction. 👨🔧
I'm a plumber we won't tell you to do it this way because we don't want you to flood your home even though it means more money for us

yes. it works fine
The joint will obstruct the water flow. It's the same method used on connecting an exhaust pipe on a cars or motorcycles
Good video, good idea, good luck to you
thanks. where are you?
The exterior is nice to see but remember that u are using the inside part of the pipe that need to be clean nd free from obstruction!
Thank you for your Feedback
I agree with you, and usually I will connect the 2 pipes directly
Very good 👍🙏

Please show us how it works when you connect it to a water line! I think we all want to see it in action!
It will leak water at the joint due to the cut not perfect esp done freehand.
choice for music with the slapophone was incredible
it looks good outside, but it will decrease the flow inside, i prefer the first method. The first method was created to maintain the flow inside

You would be nuts to use this one anything that has any pressure on it. They make couplings for a reason.
