All that money, all those “toys” like he said, could not buy him a good personality. Let’s just not be like him, let’s take it as a lesson. Probably the girl was trying to let him know he had a rude and misserable attitude towards life and that is very well resumed if you see a rich guy wearing a poor's man watch. When you see a rich and not even a rich guy but a classy one it doesn't matter if he wears a cheap watch because he wears his class on his wrist, on his shoes on his attitude towards life, is not just the garment or the accesory that you wear but how you wear it, your taste when you choosing it , that is why there are rich people like probably this person that it doesn't matter if they wear a £50 000 watch , it will always look like a poor's man watch on their wrist. If you notice he didn't like black , the most elegant and discreet option, the green dial of that AP is amazing but he says that is puke green because doesn't pops like the green dial of the Rolex, he associates class or taste with flashy to me is the opposite maybe for the girl who still lives in his head it is too , he is so disrespectful and classless that he even stares at the plastic empty boxes like if they were more insteresting than the watches that are being shown to him , he may knows about watches and stuff but all that knowledge are numbers and facts not class. That is why he will always wear a poor's man watch , because he is a miserable one
I think its definitely worth pointing out that A) not only is that Tissot movement absolutely genuine (for what its worth) but.... B) they specially used it because the movement that is in the genuine AP (caliber 3120) is also a 21,600 bph movement. Most modern ETA/Sellita movements are 28,800bph but the Tissot has a lower beat rate to add to the extended power reserve so they intentionally used it to make the hand sweet the same as a genuine watch...pretty impressive detail, really!
The fact that you know that, and can explain it in a way that it makes sense to all of us is super impressive. I was wondering about that very thing and you nailed it.
That client at the end of the video was so rude to Dave. Mad respect to Dave for having the patience to deal with this guy. It’s almost like he was proud of the fact that he insulted their selection of watches. There are ways to tell a dealer you’re not interested in their watches that don’t make you seem classless or snobby.
It takes all sorts to make the world an interesting place. You have to admire him for owning it, he is what he is! "Take it or leave it" LOL "a tablecloth for a shirt "classic comment"!
I feel bad for Dave having to deal with that costumer it’s literally a case of revenge of the nerds. He has PTSD from not being the “cool” guy so now he’s trying to compensate . Imagine going to luxury bazar trying to school them on watches. There’s being knowledgeable then there’s being a schmuck. He shows up in his silly outdated table cloth shirt. Respect to Dave being patient with that guy.

Buddy you ever buy an 80k watch? It better be EXACTLY what you are looking for. Watches are a very personal thing. Don't knock a guy with money to spend, even if his personality sucks.
Yes props to Dave for his patience. Dude said he was tired of being made fun of for his watches but proceeded to do exactly that to 90% of what Dave was helping him with.
That last dude is why I quit doing sales . People who have no manors and think they are funny . Literally were bullied all they’re lives , made some pocket change and think they are better then everyone .

You don’t need everyone’s business and if you end deals because you don’t accept rudeness then it will make you more exclusive and people will want to buy from you even more. He probably is worth it for views if that is what you are aiming for.
Someone with not much money and very busy, working blue collar job with little time off, so they cannot fly out across the country and buying something worth say $200, fine, but someone with enough money to comfortably afford an AP then taking the risk of spending that much money over Facebook? Doesn't make sense to me. I smell something off here.
Imagine talking shit about an AP green dial while wearing a $20 costco shirt and jeans. Like, a preference is a preference. I don't like a lot of watches But... 'puke green' and 'that's a monstrosity.' The comical gagging. Dude doesn't take care of himself, wears garbage clothes. This is a personality type i've met a lot. He's the type that drives a nice car and wears a $50k watch to get over the fact that aside from being financially successful, he's a loser that can barely take care of himself.
hahaha that guy at the end had some serious self esteem issues :D Funny to watch though and props to dave for staying professional throughout the whole process.
The Inner rotating bezel on the AP has nothing to do with the movement, it’s an entirely separate mechanism that’s really part of the case. No idea why the guy would think that the Tissot movement had that feature.
Maybe the fakes will become so good that the actual manufacturers will realize that their watches are way overpriced and drop their prices. The way I see it, there would be no point of creating fakes if the real watch was somewhat reasonably priced
They fake watches that are under 100 dollars. They make thousands of them, and price them way lower. The marketing is already done, and people think they got a good deal. So many people are wearing fakes and just don't know it. They fake the Casio f91w and it costs 10 bucks.
He used that as the Microphone for the video. He only had one in so the courtesy was given. Secondly the guy wasn’t a customer but came I. I’m I have his Fake watched looked at again.
You can see he is wearing a mic clipped to his shirt and a rule of thumb. Anyone who enters your business who isn't an employee should be treated as if they are a customer.
Agreed with the comments.. the last guy at the end was hard to watch... I find the more money I make and the better I get in shape, the nicer I want to be to others including myself.
I'm wondering the same question. I hear the same stories over and over again and every time I ask myself why someone buys such an item from an unknown person via an online marketplace that is intended for junk and household goods. I mean if you're on a budget and looking for a watch for $200 ok then go for it. But why not just buy such items from a verified reseller? I've seen people who bought gold from eBay dealers for half a million before testing a bar and only at the end did they find out that it was all fake.

Loved the first AP shown to the difficult customer at around the 22 minute mark. Looking through the site, am I correct in guessing that is the 'Royal Oak Offshore Diver Limited Edition'? It really is a nice looking watch, and for me the best that Dave was able to bring out to show.
Serious question, why spend 10’s of thousands or even $100k when I can buy fugazi at a fraction of the price and the average joe never know the difference?
The fake AP was a mind blowing moment. Can we all take a step back and think for a second, what if AP has been buying movements from Tissot for many years and all they do is remove the rotor and replace it with an AP rotor. This 15703 was an unfinished product.
That’s the stupidest conspiracy theory I’ve ever heard, lol. You think watchmakers wouldn’t notice when they take the movement apart and it’s identical to a tissot?
It's not a Tissot movement. It's an ETA 2824 movement that Tissot buys for their watches, with the Tissot branded rotor. Audemars Piguet has never ever used ETA movements, and uses their own in hourse movement. It's very common knowledge.
I've been watching you guys a little while now, I love watches, can't afford mabey the cheapest ones that you got, but I wear cheap Chinese ones 😅, still tells me the time though, bless up guys 👍🏽,from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
I remember a Facebook group that offered wholesale watch deals for only $2,000. Just one sill or dill and you’d recoup your invention. That combined with some sort of a watch dealer university online training course would eliminate this sort of mistake lol
Watch dealer university so you can complete the infinity gauntlet and do dills whilst making your sills operating on zills whilst getting tugged by Lizard who's started selling watches which aren't rill?
Would love to see you step up the audio side in your videos. Quit using Rode and DJIs consumer products. You guys need like a propper sennheiser system, boom mic for those fixed possitions, separate recording. Maby its just me who hate seeing the mics in frame all the time with a "E1" sticker :) Keep making this awesome content. Feels like this could be a propper TV show. Love it, love it... Let me know if you need help :)
That poor guy in the end he isn't interested in nice watches, he just wanted to show up and brag he can afford them. By the way he behaves himself a Timex would be too much for him to handle, as for the Ladies he's still searching for approval, forget it, it's not the watch in the end.
I don't comment often but you guys got me into watches, someday i'll have enough disposable cash to spend on a big piece. When that happens i'll be getting it off you guys. Love the content. Much love from Ireland
The guy with chequered shirt. I dont see why theres negative comments about him. Hes just a man who knows his watches and knows what he likes . Hes being frank . He's an Horologist nerd. When they get together, they give their honest nerd opinions 😂
Yeah, until they make you bundle some crap that you don’t want just to get the watch that you do want. They really have your best interest at heart. Thank you for your vote as confidence. All love 🙏
With that Daytona situation, the way you handled it was wrong. Just admit it and move on. The outcome: of course you wouldn't give him the watch for 8,000. The way you talked to him over YOUR MISTAKE is the problem, which was hugely disrespectful. Accountability: just admit you talked to him poorly and move on. All of this extra deflection and calling him a scammer (when he didn't scam one bit) is crazy. He may have been an opportunist, but he wasn't a scammer. You made a mistake, stand on that. In the future, don't yell and demean other people when you f**ked up. It's simple.
There's simple due diligence required when buying a $400 watch let alone a $17,000 watch. Not being able to hold every watch in hand reddit has taught me ALOT, however its super amazing you guys offer this to customers to give them a final understanding and education. Unfortunately, some of the "trusted" guys let watches slip by too, it would be very lucrative to have a legit checking app for watches just like sneakers.
A friend of mine is a comedian, and he really had a point when he thanked all the haters who kept his shit popular. Your fans will comment on the stuff they like, while haters will try shitting on everything you do and accidentally promotes the shit out of it and makes the algorithms push it like crack
Crazy how with the last guy the sales team said they don't open AP's as you can automatically tell they are fake. Tbh they didnt really know quickly that the $17K AP that the guy brought in until he told them AP said it was fake
That customer at the end, makes you wonder if watches are even cool or not. Goodness Gracious, real dkbag energy. Bruh needa be more discerning about that cot damn tablecloth shirt his nonna made for him. Shout out to Dave for proving yet again how much of a gentleman he really his, Even when a shit throwing monkey shows up.
I loved that Audemars platinum with the light blue dial that they showed on another video I can't find it anymore but that watch became one of my favorite watches right away. It was absolutely beautiful. Way out of my price range and something I may not ever own but a top 10 dream watch for sure. Audemars has 4 or 5 of my top 10 spots including my number 1 favorite which is the Audemars factory set Baggett diamond royal oak skeleton. Absolute favorite watch and breath taking. With the price that it is now I'll never be able to get it unless I win the lottery but I can dream and look at it from time to time in videos like this and that's ok with me. Great content and great watches keep it up 💯 👊
The one-upsmanship in this group is wild. It's fun to watch, but does it ever get old to live, like when you just need a break from the constant pulling out of the tape measure? Fun show, appreciate it.
Eagles Super Bowl bound baby! Go BIRDS! 🦅 love that idea with the home and away watch for the Eagles games Adrian!!🦅 can’t go wrong either way! Awesome video by the way !!
Naw, I think Adrian handled that situation with the customer that was mad really well. He wasn't going to let the customer muscle him for a watch that would never cost that much. Adrian explained the situation and even offered to help him find the watch for the correct price and even offered to give it to him at the company's cost price, I think that was extremely fair.
@@toddmurphy523 Okay, I understand what you're saying. Adrian explained to the customer why that watch was priced the way it was because they were doing a transaction for another customer that was doing a trade in. It just wasn't some random error on their website.

Megamind is the cartoon version of Adrian. Works in terms of his knowledge and hairline.
Where did he purchase it from ?
I remember a Facebook group that offered wholesale watch deals for only $2,000. Just one sill or dill and you’d recoup your invention. That combined with some sort of a watch dealer university online training course would eliminate this sort of mistake lol
I'm here for the watch diller university
If I was that buyer, I’d be going straight to the police and opening a fraud case
You talking about the AP? If so, I think you meant to say if you were the buyer. Right?
@@helimx Bah he's pulling the Uno reverse lol. Sell a fake watch then sue the guy for fraud when he complains :D
@@helimx yea 🤦♂️ whoops
That poor guy in the end he isn't interested in nice watches, he just wanted to show up and brag he can afford them. By the way he behaves himself a Timex would be too much for him to handle, as for the Ladies he's still searching for approval, forget it, it's not the watch in the end.
The guy at the end looking through the comments to see how well he did - 👁👄👁
I just love this program ...as an Ex- Rolex owner I'm totally hooked !
In England we have a word for that "customer" at the end - Wanker... Well done Dave
Why you guys don’t tell the prices anymore?
Buy the seller not the watch. Great advice! That’s why you should buy from an AD or boutique
Buying from any reseller over MSRP IS getting scammed lol 😂
Yeah, until they make you bundle some crap that you don’t want just to get the watch that you do want.
They really have your best interest at heart.
Thank you for your vote as confidence. All love 🙏
have you been to one bro? store is mostly empty for 3 years now
@@danielwhoI oh no whey got watches, but Scubags don’t want to sell them for msrp to average Joe
“Facebook moderator” rofl…..
Shocking, but why should it be a fake Tissot movement and why should the bezel have anything to do with the movement?
Loving the show guys. Beginner watch collector in the UK.
Thank you for sharing these experiences. I’ve learned a lot about how important the source for buying is. Got the always buy the dealer not the watch.
@@MattyVicewonder if that's a typo or if he really says yet alone irl... probably the latter lol totally kidding........
A friend of mine is a comedian, and he really had a point when he thanked all the haters who kept his shit popular. Your fans will comment on the stuff they like, while haters will try shitting on everything you do and accidentally promotes the shit out of it and makes the algorithms push it like crack
Did you buy from Anthony?
Lets be honest, from the way he looks we know it wasnt because of the watch they were making fun of him 😂😂😂😂
Donnie Haines! And Matt! The Archieverse just expanded. Now canon.
who the f would actually say you got them through their depression
Are you new to the internet?
Crazy how with the last guy the sales team said they don't open AP's as you can automatically tell they are fake. Tbh they didnt really know quickly that the $17K AP that the guy brought in until he told them AP said it was fake
Must be from Tuggs at TPG
You guys are straight up real. Keep doing what you do.
FAKE VIDEO. This was totally set up, wiith the fake AP. Hilarious
Great content and great watches keep it up 💯 👊
P.S. if i saw Marko in person, i would tell him he is a complete toss pot!!
I actually like the buyer 😂 perfect example of a customer. And he firm on his taste
Adrian the serial killer
The one-upsmanship in this group is wild. It's fun to watch, but does it ever get old to live, like when you just need a break from the constant pulling out of the tape measure? Fun show, appreciate it.
7:23 this guy is the watch expert and thinks the movement needs to have a complication to support the diver ring?
Great job love the videos!
Only trust Anthony Farrer at time pice gentleman
Adrian tried to look like he did not care about the comments but he was very salty LOL
It could have been worse.
Tissots are pretty good and Swiss made.
Might even be a fake Tissot movement!
TISSOT DOESNT MAKE THAT SPECIFIC MOVEMENT so its a FAKE swiss movement with a fake tissot embleme HAHAHAH
ANYTIME a customer can click on an item on a site, checkout AND PAY for an item, if price is incorrect the problem is the sellers, not the customers.
@@toddmurphy523 Okay, I understand what you're saying. Adrian explained to the customer why that watch was priced the way it was because they were doing a transaction for another customer that was doing a trade in. It just wasn't some random error on their website.
Great episode Thanks team, I love all that you do!!!
That last customer.. wow that was hard to watch..... can't believe people like that exist!
This guy knows so much about jewellery, watches, stones. A fountain of knowledge is a pleasure to see him buying he should have his own channel. You are so lucky to have your father by your side.
I always find it funny when people claim to be Italian😂 99% are like part Italian at best and have never even been to Italian but claim to be Italian people use it like it's an excuse to a ahole or rude (general statement not completely directed at the dude)
Well, his parents could be Italian so who knows for sure but him. But he comes across as a know-it-all which is very annoying.
lmao the fake tissot, insane!!! definitely eye opening the level of detail needed when buying luxury watches, so thanks
Adrian is the real 🐐
Adrienne should work more and talk shit less imo.
