I have really been enjoying your videos. They're so calming and have such good looking meals. The verses at the end of your videos are such a nice touch and close them out with our thoughts fixed on God. Thank you!

Love all your videos and recipes! Last Monday/Tuesday it was -20 windchill in Kansas City…between 12” snow the total week of Jan 6…plus .25” of ice first…kids were out of school entire week. Then MLK Monday and off school Tuesday due to windchill…we bus all kids in our suburb. I babysit my grandkids in the morning and we have all been dragging and wanting to stay in bed.

Thank you! Oh my, sounds like you’re in The thick of it too! It was -22 one morning and all I wanted was to stay in bed. I wish life would allow for more rest in the winter. Blessings and stay warm ❤️

Good morning Kelsey! I’m always happy to see what I’ll be inspired to cook this weekend after watching your videos! It’s not been as cold where we live compared to you but still cold. As I age, I’ve come to understand why folks venture south for the winter lol. Thanks for sharing friend, it’s always a good start to my day to see your video first thing. God Bless You.

    • @seedandsparrowhomestead

Hello sweet Cheryl! Ya know I just said to myself and in another comment, “ I need to move south, the cold makes my bones hurt” 😂 I long for warmth. I’ve been living in layers and under blankets. I’m also very blessed to have a hubby who runs hot and is my personal heater. He’s getting all the snuggles whether he wants them or not haha! Thanks for hanging out with me. Blessings friend ❤️

@ you’re talking my language here! My husband is also a personal furnace for me lol. I can be buried under blankets, dressed in layers and he is in shorts and a t-shirt! I struggle with arthritis and it’s a real thing to feel cold down to your bones. I think I could be one of those ‘snowbirds’ who spent time somewhere warm for the winter ☀️

I love the chicken salad idea, sounds delicious. A tip for the chicken noodles soup, if you cook the noodles in the soup, the starch from the noodles helps thicken the soup a bit.

Just let your soup simmer for however long you want and add the noodles about 15 minutes (give or take depending on what size noodles you’re using) before you eat. I’ve never had the noodles get soggy and it saves a step and a dirty pot. 🙌 Thanks for the soup inspiration today, your recipes looked so yummy!

I cannot even imagine how cold it is where you are... I'm in North Florida(lived here my whole life) and we had almost 10 inches of snow! Truly amazing but I'm freezing and just want to keep adding layers and layers of clothing!😂

Hey friend! Always so happy to see you here ❤️ ugh I’m so cold. I’m in layers and find myself on the couch under multiple blankets more than I’d like lol. I miss warmth! I can’t believe you had so much snow!! That’s crazy. We too just had 10” and a low of -22 🥶 warm weather is coming… eventually 😂

Good morning! I just found your channel about a week ago (maybe two weeks, time is a blur through the winter lol) and I have so enjoyed watching you! I am in NE Ohio and we have been buried in snow this year (almost 5' the days after Thanksgiving) and it was negative 10 degrees this week at one point! I don't know why we stay where it is so winter heavy, but Ohio has my heart (and my family) so here we stay frozen in place lol. Thank you for sharing your great recipes and meal ideas! I look forward to following your channel! Stay warm!! 😁

Your presentation of your food is absolutely beautiful. Everything you make looks so good. I am going to have to try many of them. Thank you so much for doing this challenge. I am doing the challenge also even though we are in Florida in our motorhome. I brought a lot of canned and frozen food to try to work through some of my stored food. With the exception of our two travel days, I have been making our meals from the food we brought plus produce that I needed to buy to go with it. Take care.

I use big sprinkle of Chinese Five spice every single morning with oatmeal, cinnamon, some butter balls, salt, some chopped fruit, chopped nuts, a heavy sprinkle of turmeric and a sprinkle of pepper, and a bit more brown sugar than what is in the butter balls. (butter and sugar rolled and stored in fridge) It is so delicious and a surprise in this oatmeal which is very good for you, also. Your video was very full of great recipes - thanks.

Question Beets: how did you keep the color of your beets? I tried pickled beets this year, tried to use frozen and canned (short cut my grandma used store bought canned beets) but they have a pale appearance. Not pretty. Lol! Help?! Anyone?!
