Before I got my first iPhone in 2019, i actually used my iPad mini as my phone! It actually worked great. As an artist, my main content creation device is my iPad Pro, but when I really wanna travel light, I always grab my iPad mini. It’s the perfect size digital sketchbook when on the go. I just upgraded my iPad mini 5 to the new iPad mini 7 and wow… it is quickly becoming my favorite device. I’m not going to ditch my iPhone again, since it has replaced my dslr as my main camera… but I take my iPad mini 7 everywhere. It fits in my jacket pocket or cargo pants pocket perfectly. Don’t even feel it. But when inspiration strikes on the streets of NY, I whip it put & start drawing. It compliments my iPad Pro which i mainly use at home nicely. Between my iPhone, iPad mini & iPad Pro, I have converted to an iOS only workflow. I don’t use a laptop anymore…or a heavy dslr & lens setup. My iphone & iPads do all my creative work now. Plus they are great for everyday use like surfing the web, writing & media consumption. I will never get another laptop again.
The iPad Mini 7 looks great and I am going to get one. However, the best iPad ever made was the 2018 iPad Pro. It was a major upgrade from all previous iPad and still holds it own against newer models even though it is 6 years old. It introduced Pro Motion display with up to 120hz refresh rate, thin bezels, Face ID, up to 1TB of storage, True Tone, USB C connector, edge to edge Liquid Retina display, thinner case, more rounded bezels, etc.
@@codoflife6115 I remember hearing reports about the bending problem but I never tried to flex mine and it has always been in a keyboard case. It has traveled around the U.S., the UK, Holland, France, Switzerland and Germany without any problems but I will admit that I have the keyboard case inside of another case whenever I am traveling. The $1,600 I spent to get it was a big expense for me so I have always been paranoid about damaging it.
I love my mini 7, gave my wife my 2018 iPad Pro. Thought I would miss it, but not at all. I was thinking about getting paperlike screen protector, just not sure, don’t want to lose picture quality. I'm an Android guy, with a Tab S9 and Z Flip 6. But I have the Mini 7 because of the form factor. Ipad os is limited compared to Android/Samsung but there is no Android competition in the small tablet space.
Z fold 6 is better . That's is litterally the most perfect mini tablet I ever used . If ipad mini was 120hz I would say it would be a good competitor or better . But it's not

Here My Story Why ipad mini 7 is King!! B ought an ipad pro 11 m4 sadly due to PWM it causes headache and eyestrain, which no one talks about . So oled is a big no unless its xiaomi which doesnt have this issue which is weird. Ended up buying m2 ipad then its too heavy decided had a leap of faith and bought an ipad mini 7 cellular I must Say its the most perfect device Ever made.its like having a phone… I play wuthering wave, warzone mobile, social media and netflix machine Every single day i also use this to schedule my patients
What irritates me about my iPad mini's multitasking is why can do it well in portrait mode. On my Samsung Fold, for instance, I can split screen youtube and play a game on the bottom portion. On the mini, that's just impossible. On the mini, I just stick to one app at a time because of that.
Imagine if it was 120hz. Calling a 60hz the best is just something someone who don't know anything about tech would say .. If it was 120hz I would def call it the best mini tablet ever made

Promotion came out on the 2017 iPad Pro not the 2018
@@codoflife6115 thanks for the correction. The 2018 model was still a major upgrade. It even runs 18.1.1 though without the A.I.

The main thing that annoys me about the mini 7 is screen brightness. If they had fixed that, the other shortcomings wouldn’t matter to me
