- Who would have thought there would be mushrooms growing in spring. After a some nice rain, we decided to venture out the forest and try our luck. Boy, were we surprised to find some fresh saffies.
We hope you enjoy the video. I miss the Porcini season already.

What a sweet life. God bless you
Thank you. It's nice to get back to nature.
Great video I’m in qld and I’m going hunting for mushrooms tomorrow morning I’m so excited
Thank you for your comment. Good luck and I hope you find heaps. We went out today, but still really dry in SA.
YES MOAR SHROMS
Thank you for watching our video ☺️
🌧️☀️🍄🥰
I've only just discovered these are edible! And they are everywhere here in SA at the moment. Do you guys have any good recipes?
Yeah they are growing like crazy at the moment. We generally fry them in olive oil and finish off with butter and a pinch of salt. They are really good pickled too. No special recipe, just what find on the net.
@@FruitsOfLife001 Cheers :) First time I went out I didn't know they were edible, now I'll be getting a tonne of them!
we don't have forests like these in QLD . I wish we did. Is mushroom season every spring?
Mushroom season is usually in Autumn, but its been an odd year. It only takes some good rain, sunshine and a cold snap for mushies to appear. So there no pine forests or plantations in QLD?

Thats nice. There is small pine plantation near by. But I have never heard or seen anyone talk about mushrooms here on the GC, except the naughty kind. You are so lucky to have porcini’s growing in Adelaide.
Where abouts is this forest can I ask?
This was at Kuitpo forest.
@@FruitsOfLife001 Thank you.
