I think the only one that has a firm start is Boomers, because that's so closely connect to WW2. Regardless, she makes it. :)
This is the only segment on tv comparing generations that doesn't constantly belittle Millennials/Gen Z tbh I especially love that he phrases it as having "a different frame of reference" and not "doesn't know stuff" like so many (late night) talk show hosts
After listening to Conan O'Brien talk about his experiences as a writer in many of his podcasts over the pass few months. It occurs to me that people like Karen aren't just cute personalities that they put on a segment. She's a writer that means she's smart, talented, hard working and probably works really fast under preasure because of deadlines on a show that airs daily. At 24 you look at her and go, "that girl has hustle", good for her.
I'm 34, so I'm right about in between Seth and Karen's ages and I feel good because I knew all of the things shown in this and it makes me feel special. Older Millennials: old enough to know some 80s and 90s stuff, young enough to know stuff from 2000 and beyond. ^^()

Xennial is basically saying you're an older Millennial, which is what I am at age 34; young enough to have had the internet for most my life while being just old enough to remember what life was like before home computers were mainstream.
My friends brother had a My Buddy and he threw it down the stairs one time and I thought HE had flung himself down the stairs and I screamed “NOOOO IAN!!!” My friend couldn’t stop laughing and still brings it up today. Like 35 years later. Jesus we’re old. (Neat story Karen P!)

I'm 38 ,had my last pair at 34 , I'm trying to design a better frame for them and make my own wheels,since the bearings on the factory wheels dont last long for me, I'm 200 lbs 🤷🏻♂️
I had that exact my buddy, one with curly hair and the my little sister. I loved them!!! And it was great that I was also obsessed at way too young of an age with child’s play.

lol I feel like I'm playing right alongside Karen with many of these. My favorite is when Seth mentions the name of something, and then immediately I'm like, "Ohhhh. Wait, that's him?" Like Kato Kaelin. I know the name *very* well. I saw The People vs OJ Simpson. I saw his name pop up in so many documentaries, TH-cam videos, news stories, etc, but I *never* actually saw a picture of him (though I've seen many actors playing him and sketches). This is the *very* first time I'm actually seeing his picture! Wow!

The hilarious thing is I was just talking to my friend on Wednesday about My Buddy and Kid Sister. Right before talking about Easy Bake oven and Creepy Crawlies. Then Talking about the Nintendo cereal and the TMNT cereal. Yeah, basically forgotten stuff.
Yeah, I"m in my late 50's and I think I'm a bit too old for My Buddy. The only reason I knew it was because a few years ago the Minnesota Twins signed Buddy Boshers as a relief pitcher and someone on a Twins chat site posted an old ad for My Buddy. Could not get that damn jingle out of my head for about 2 weeks.
My favorite thing about these, honestly, is that I'm halfway between your ages and know 75% of everything you show, but usually was either too young for it or too old for it when it actually came out. (Or, like, too young to follow the news of it, too old to have time for it even if I would've enjoyed it... whatevs.)
