From these cakes I love Martinská roláda the most. And I think in Špic is not a rum but an alcohol called vaječný likér. Also in Punčový rez is a little bit rum.

Hi Kim, I hope you are going to live many things Slovakia can offer to you, sweets (or zakusky) are one of them. You have to get them from a really good cukraren though, otherwise a quality is not good. I ❤️ all of them but puncovy Rez especially made at home is the best! The jam inside should be raspberry mixed with a little red currents and orange juice. It is like heaven on earth! And spic is my second favorite, veternik a kremes are third. You should also try gastanove text made from chestnuts- super! Your Slovak is getting better, keep it up, love your laughter.
Hi Kimberly, I see you making progress in Slovak which is great, step by step, you doing well hubby should speak with you and explain to you pronunciation since he speak native language. But you doing great in general. In sweet department I like most of the desserts, I wrote earlier under your picture that since change in Slovakia they don't make pastry as in old times, these days they try to cut cost replace ingredients etc. Only few places there still making good old style pastry. You should try good strudels, traditional baking in Slovakia, Bratislavske rozky I can go on. So that will be your next video. I like your work and as I said before you as foreigner doing great job for Slovakia, I'm very proud of you!

(Deserting from work to a patisserie?) The name of the shop is also a pun - "jeme" means 'We eat', or 'We are eating'. But you know that. The name 'Krémeš' is derived from 'krém' - custard. Something very similar is also in(side) 'Veterník' - named so because under all that thick frosting it should resemble a toy windmill. Chocolate on top of a custard pie?

I prefer red wine (Australia, South America), then Armenian brandy Ararat, then cognac, then whiskey, Becherovka, and exceptionally I'll have vodka. 20-year-old Ararat Nairi is a top notch! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! Be careful when you're not used to dring alcohol and you 're trying it for the first time. Drink just a little bit... before you become an experienced alcohol drinker. :-) IMHO, one glass of wine or one small shot of hard drink is enough... hmmm, two small shots when it's Ararat Nairi... ;-)

My mother-tounge Filipino is heavily influenced by Spanish, so our words are very similar 🤣

I take classes twice a week, then I try to practice as much as possible everyday. 😉 Definitely try Martinská, it's very delicious 😋😋

I’m from Cambridge UK living in Slovakia 😃 Nitra to be exact, I came for a 2 week holiday 3 years ago! 😂 I have not returned since. I stayed because of a girls we aren’t together anymore but I still continue to live here. I speak fluent Slovak language and I’m loving every day here 😎

@@piskaj2 3 years ago I came for a 2 week holiday, my flight back to the UK was on a Monday and I met a Slovak girl on Saturday 🤣 we broke up 7-8 months ago now though, I’m still here in Nitra living live 🤓😎
There is something in Slovakia that really makes people stay 😊

Oh i miss all of them, but luckily for vegan people (as u mentioned before your husband is ) and if u live in Slovakia u can try "rastlinarium" (check on Instagram) they made vegan versions of this cakes... And it is soo funny when you start to laugh 🤣

xD zaujímalo by ma, či by ti aj chutili také typické slovenské koláče( hlavne kysnuté, to je také dosť typické ). Pretože tieto tiež boli naše , ale to skôr take by som nazvala modernejšie.
Napr.kysnuté robili už dávno pred tým.
