I just bought the 2012 civic ex coup , swapped the rims , installed a injen short arm cold air intake , had a mugen rear wing and body kit put on , changed the factory exhaust to an invidia n1 cat back exhaust , and in the process of installing a upgraded sound system. I honestly love the 9th gen civic , they look great and perform really well . (Posted 3/4/21 )
No I don't have the car anymore because I traded it in for a 2020 Civic EX-L Hatchback almost 2 months ago. It held up very well to the point where certain things where it was costing too much money to fix certain things so I decided not to put anymore money into it. I may even do a video on my new car pretty soon when I get the time.
The Civic sedan EX and EX-L is equipped with 6 speakers, the Civic Coupe EX and EX-L has 7 speakers 2 on the A-Pillars, 2 on both of the doors, and 3 behind the backseat of the headrest.
Thanks. I say you should test drive both the 2013 Civic Coupe or the 2013 Elantra Coupe to figure out what your wants and needs out of both of them, just go to your local dealer and check them both out in person.
artistic102390 The CD you have playing in this vid, shows the name of the artist etc, don't know how to get mine to display the same. How do you upload wallpaper??
porcelaincougar Just look out for a video and I will answer your two questions through that. The videos will probably be separated, so be on the lookout.
porcelaincougar It really depends on what CD you put in. Sometimes one CD will display the name of the artist, genre, track number, and album name and sometimes it will just display only the track number if you put in a different CD. My suggestion would be to use an alternative like a USB thumb drive, if you download some of your CD's to it and hook it to the USB in the center console it will display every artist name from you cd's through the thumb drive. I did and every cd I own has been downloaded to my thumb drive and it displays all the names of the artist, genre, album name, and track number and I have using the thumb drive starting today meaning all of my cd's are out of the car and into cases.
I know that's why I took them off today. I'm just going to put a factory "EX" emblem on that side with special edition badge under it, along with a small 1.8L emblem under the Civic emblem, so it can stand out a lot better.
Let's say I paid a pretty good penny for it. I am a little pissed about the refresh that Honda has done because it was something that they could've done for the 2012, such as a back-up camera for the 2012 and darker upholstery. I'm used to darker upholstery when I had it in my older car and at times I have a hard time seeing what's behind me when I back-up into a parking space and that's because I'm 5'3. But all in all I love my car and I can't wait to pay it off.
May I ask how much you paid for your Civic? Also are you pissed about the, "emergency" refresh Honda did for the Civic as a result of all the criticism? Consumer Reports bashed the 2012 big time. While I do like the improved Civic, I think what the critics had to say was all BS. They talked about poor fit and finish and cheap plastics (which are no diff than other cars.) They also complained about the grain on the doors and dash (I like it.) It sold over 300k 2012's. I love my car.
You sure about the speaker system? I thought only the Si comes with 7 speaker premium audio. The EX is equipped with 6 speakers, while the LX and DX models both have 4.
Hi, artistic102390 I know I'm very new to this car,{ 3 days} I'd love to drive it in green all the time, but how do you do this?? Especially going up a hill...I know you can help! :) ANY tips you have on driving this car to the max is appreciated. This is the BEST review of the 2012 Honda Civic Coupe, as well as the night time version!
Going up a hill I drop the gear shifter in D3 while on the accelerator pedal to drive up the hills and put it back to D once I'm all the way up the hill. You can actually do this without putting your foot on the brake to switch it from D to D3 you won't be in the green when doing this, you would either be in blue or teal. I myself drive in the green on the highway at around 60 to 65MPH. I have no tips on driving it to the max because you have to understand that this is a regular Civic Coupe with 140hp, it's not a Civic Si with 201hp. What year is your Civic and is it a Sedan or a Coupe.
artistic102390 To the max, I meant, what's best for the car. Not race, but rather, to not put any unnecessary stress on the engine. It's JUST like yours, 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX, tinted windows, in brushed metal metallic with 38,000 miles, MINT. The only difference is mine has fog lights. It smells new on the inside!!! When I see someone else has taken care of a vehicle the way I like to? Well, I couldn't resist this beautiful car, it had been sitting in the dealers lot for almost a year, I live in Maine, many people around here don't like coupes, I love em.' As THAT, Is what gives this car, it's sporty look! :) The price was 16 grand, JUST the week I came in looking for a newer car, because they had it so long, lowered the price down to 14,500. It was meant to be! :) The dealer told me I didn't need to replace the oil, every 3 months...I usually do; I also understand this "girl" uses synthetic oil...Your thoughts? As well as any useful info you want to share. One of mine...I agree with you, about the tray in the front...a great place to "store" sunglasses, your phone, etc, but much too hard a surface. I will get a black plush, face towel, draw the lines...with a marker, and cut to tray problem solved! :) Thank you so much in advance, loving the new "babe" hehe
porcelaincougar Synthetic oil is not bad, every time I get and oil change they always use synthetic oil. I know because I check my receipts where it shows they been using synthetic oil, so it really doesn't hurt the engine or nothing. Yes it's true, you do not have to take the car in for an oil change every 3 months. I usually get an oil change every time it hits 15% that's usually when you take the car in for service well in Honda's case but IDK things are different now. To the max I would probably say the max for this car with a 1.8L engine is maybe 65mph, that's not a lot of stress for the engine and it's a good cruising speed and you'll still be in the green with this type of speed. Great idea for the tray, I put a couple of tissues to keep things from sliding around in there but that's temporary right now. Glad your loving the new "babe" CONGRATS. I'm doing the same thing as well. I always find an excuse to go out to drive my car. I can't get enough of it and also it's very fun to drive. I even thought about getting a '14 Civic 4-door since the '12 4-door looks like it's undone, but the -'13 & '14 Civic 4-doors looks much better.
You might want to find some reviews about this car. The best one I can think of is Motorweek. You can find it on youtube, it might give you some info on track times.

I just bought this car for my daughter and it still looks new.
It's good to know something new.
Thanks! I'm 22 years old.
Do you still have the car? If so hows it holding up?

Great review man!

So you added the vTec decals yourself?
Sorry to bug you again my friend, is there any way to get the radio display to show the artist playing??
Could you describe by what you mean, I'm not understanding?

I like your 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX I wanna get either a honda civic coupe or a 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe
Ah, that explains it. Didn't know the difference between coupe and sedan models.
How’s the speakers, stereo system?
The speakers are good they're not like bose or Harmon kardon but with 7 speakers total, they sound real good.
Yes I did, I ordered the VTEC decals off of ebay.

lindo auto amigo honda lo maximo
I have the same car except in white. Not to be a dick and to each there own but the emblems on the right rear look really tacky.
The one problem I have with Honda is that they don't give you what you pay for.
Get the Honda, the Elantra is such an ugly car.
No, why do u ask lol?
