This Bishop is preaching a load of Junk Spirituality, This Bishop is another one of those end-time false prophets. Anyone who believes and follows this bishop is being deceived. Jesus did warn, that in the last days, many will come preaching in his name, and will deceive the many". Matt 24:4-5. This Bishop is preaching a false Christ just like the Catholic church.

As a result, my faith and understanding has deepened and become fuller. I find that the foundational truths of Christianiety are the same regardless of denominational identity. Truth is truth. However, I am appreciative of the richness, history, and experience of the ancients from two thousand years.ago up until today

So if you are true catholic you must do rosary to Mary whom the Catholic declared by their own authority not by God; that she was conceived without sin That is she has NO earthly father. Which is a heresy! So praying to a sinner is part of Jesus Christ and the Apostles teachings? We believe in Triune God. Mary did not have part on the Godship of Trinity and also not witnessed in The Gospels if of our Lord Jesus. found in the pagan closet of Roman and Greek who decided to introduce these traditions into the early church.. at least not the true church of Jesus Christ but the Roman’s who killed, persecuted and crucified all true Christians made war with them . She the false church shall do so in the last days; will also persecute the true church of Jesus ; for from her mouth they will write their own laws which will contradict the laws of God; and lawlessness will She bring and she will give the wine of adulterous to all kings of the earth as foretold in revelation and will bring abomination since they are adding up to the lies .

Hello Dear Bishop Mari Mari, I love listening to your preaching it always leaves me thoughtful , In this video you talk about Martin Luther and the Protestant Church and how they seperated from The Catholic Church my understanding was that Martin Luther was a brother/priest in the Catholic Church he became so discouraged with what he saw as UNCHRISTIAN taking place within the Church ,he wrote that he saw the poorest of poor handing over their last coins to the Church for prayers to be said for the sick or the dead, these people were starving their children starving yet the Church turned a blind eye to them and continued on with this practice my understanding of Martin Luther is that he was very sympathetic towards the poor and what he witnessed worried his conscience so much that he could not be a part of the Catholic Church at that time in history and left the church, because he was a religious man he studied the Bible as he read both Latin and German he wrote that he saw a perversion of the Bible being practiced by the Catholic Church naming the wealth that was displayed by The Church Hierarchy just to name one thing he wrote that he was committed to Jesus Christ body and soul and would follow what was written in the Bible with NO diversions he preached on the streets and his followers became thousands and then came the alternative to the Catholic Church the birth of the Protestant Church , this is what I believe to be true .

Martin Luther posted the 95 Theses in order to invite the Pope(and his high officials) to debate what Luther (rightly) saw as wrongful, even blasphemous , practices in the Catholic church. Such as ,but not limited to, the "infallibility" of the Pope, the selling of indulgences, and beliefs not stated in Scripture such as Purgatory. But the Pope refused to discuss these concerns, and ordered Catholics to shut Luther down, even if by violence. So, this bishop in the video is not telling the story correctly and honestly, either from ignorance or malice.

Before Luther there were many more angry reformists, yet he was the one that became popular, and that is because of the many princes that wanted to take down the Emperor's authority. The only reason of why he was successful is, because those nobles used him as a tool to gain more ilegal autonomy. If you think he was a good man of pure hearth, just read some history. He let loose 150 years of war and famine.

Actually Martin Luther had no desire to leave the Catholic Church. He thought he could have these discussions within the church and convince them of the role of faith. But the church said No. Meanwhile England left the Catholic church cos Henry wanted a divorce, and others wanted scripture in their own language so they could read it. Not much to ask. Remember also that initially the Catholics left the Orthodox church so are themselves "splitters". The process took a long time, but while doing theology I saw the final letter from the Orthodox Patriarch to the then Bishop of Rome urging him to stay within the fold. But the issue was that Rome wanted dominance and the letter was saying "how can that be when we are brothers?" It was a very sad letter. There are many things I like in Catholic history but they can't get away with talking about the Protestants splitting away when they did it themselves. And over a desire for power no less.

This is wrong history. Catholics did not split from Orthodoxy, they simply excomunicated each other. The story about Martin Luther who allegedly didn't want to split from the Church is oftenly told but silly. If he didn't want to leave, why did he set up his own theology then? He broke with celibacy and married an ex-nun. Moreover the Protestant princes didn't leave the church because they wanted to read the Bible (most of the coulnd't read anyway), they simply wanted to become masters of the church within their own territories and to collect church properties. They simply got rich by becomming Protestant.
All that stuff about freedom is bs. It was all about power and money.

@@derfinanzanalyst4456not at all. If you read what Luther himself wrote about these issues and what historians of the time have written it’s clear. He felt that the church leaders had become corrupted and his initial issues with Catholic indulgences were that they were sinful by nature. As he said his conscious was captive to the word of God. He wanted to reform the church but the church was not open to reform, although at this point the Catholic church has adopted many of Luther’s positions anyways.

As Christians, we should be able to disagree on the interpretation of scripture, but still love one another. We should be able to call out those in leadership positions who are teaching obvious heresies, yet still love one another. Tell me, when the reformation/protestant split happened, how loving was the Catholic church? How did they receive challenges to the veracity of their teaching? The Catholic church for centuries kept the bible in Latin knowing that the vast majority of believers didn't speak Latin. Why?
Just because an institution has been around for centuries, it doesn't make it automatically better. One could argue the exact opposite, since corruption has a tendency to creep in to any organization run by people.
No one is saying that protestant churches are perfect. Many of them now have the same problems the Catholic church had back in the day, some worse. But the reformation happened for good reasons.

    • @chuckispux7294

Amen. While my denomination is technically Protestant (Open Brethren, essentially an offshoot from Anglicanism, founded on similar issues within the UK and it's church that caused the European Reformation earlier in Europe), I don't identify as Protestant. Why?
Because my faith isn't a protest against Rome, or Antioch, or any of the other Patriarchs. My faith is a love of Christ, a personal relationship with him. I have nothing against those who choose to live under the authority of a patriarch or pope, if it is drawing them to Christ, the Incarnation of God, then it is valid enough for them to be my brother/sister. I don't need the same authoritarian structures, and I find the arguments given by Rome and the so-called "Apostolic" churches to be either circular or intensely flawed in their reasoning. I recommend any who claim that one must be under the authority of the pope, or a patriarch, to read 1 Corinthians 1-3 (yes, three whole chapters) where Paul literally says that we should not belong to Paul, to Cephas (that's Peter, btw) or to Apollos, but to Christ. Paul denounces the papal claim of supremacy centuries before it was made! The Papal claim is based on the idea that Paul and Peter died in Rome, in martyrdom for the church of Rome, and that the bishops of Rome are therefore descended from them and supreme to other bishops (later patriarchs). Yet Paul didn't want people to belong to his legacy, but to Christ.

A part of the Protestant church, the part of which I am in, hold the Bible with the utmost importance and share the same faith as Catholicism and Orthodoxy. We have some slight disagreements over certain issues, but the central focus is on faith in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. The progressive church, however, has no regard for the Bible or God. Martin Luther criticized first and foremost the Vatican's Sale of Indulgences to fill its coffers. This was a horrific heresie: as if a human being, priest or not could forgive another person's punishments or consequences for their sins. Nor can a human being impose a penalty for sin. A secular court can issue a punishment for a crime. That has no bearing on the heavenly judgement. Then Martin Luther translated the Bible into German. Now everyone could read or at least listen to someone reading and telling about Jesus' life from the Holy Bible and learn.
The Church is supposed to help people to find the way to Jesus, to establish a personal relationship with Jesus; to help them to follow Jesus..
The Vatican ursurped the absolute power over people's lives including the death penalty, as cruel as the worldly powers, perhaps worse so.
Martin Luther was the real reformator of the Church. He pointed the people to Jesus, not to himself. He was the teacher and did not claim to be more. Timothy had advised, that priests must have a family: how could they lead their flock, if they do not even have experience with their own personal family.
Rome, the Papacy controlled the trade with the Orient. This and the Sale of Indulgencies meant: in Italy they lived in palaces, where as in Germany the majority of people lived very modestly, because they were induced to send their money to Rome under the pretence that the Pope had the power to take away the consequences of their sins.
The Pope and every priest and nun supporting that system in my eyes had earned the label of heretics and should have received their own medicine.
I do not know, how the Orthodox Eastern Churches compared to Rome in that respect.

Exactly. The Pope, the Catholic Church selling a way to salvation through the indulgences diminished the importance of Christ’s crucification. Because if we can buy our salvation, why do we need the Lord Jesus? The Catholic Church has only abolished the practice of selling indulgences AFTER and because of the Reform. Luther being a monk and a Christian theologian couldn’t ignore this situation.

TO BE LUKEWARM is to "NOT BE" TOTALLY, COMPLETELY DEPENDENT UPON GOD IN, THRU, and FOR EVERYTHING!
But, rather being "SELF-SUFFICIENT"; as though you have a NEED of NOTHING!! You are LUKEWARM!!
It is GOD'S GOODNESS, HE HIMSELF demonstrated, HIS LOVE, in the FINISHED WORK of JESUS CHRIST, HIMSELF in the FLESH (Romans 5:8); that LEADS one to REPENTANCE,(Romans 2:4)!
Repentance is "TURNING AWAY from NOT BELIEVING HIM IN everything, THRU everything, and FOR everything! TURNING AWAY FROM BEING SELF SUFFICIENT, INDEPENDENT of ONESELF, and NOT DEPENDING TOTALLY ON HIM with the FAITH of A LITTLE CHILD! KNOWING that WE NEED HIM ALWAYS!
It is TURNING AWAY FROM SELF SATISFACTION that LEADS TO SIN and TURNING TO WALKING TOWARD OUR FORGIVING GOD with a HEART of REPENTANCE! TAKING THE "NARROW PATH" GODS WAY IN EVERY CHOICE; DECISION WE MAKE, DAILY!! (Matthew 7:13-14)!!
JUST AS KING DAVID, WHO, although he was OFTEN FALLING INTO TEMPTATION AND SIN, at times, the WORST of SIN, but he ALWAYS RAN BACK to the FATHER, GOD, RATHER THAN RUNNING FROM HIM, ATTEMPTING to HIDE FROM HIM, and ATTEMPTING TO COVER UP his sins!!
And, because KING DAVID had a REPENTANT HEART, AND HE RAN TO the FATHER FOR FORGIVENESS, GOD SAID, "I HAVE FOUND ME A MAN AFTER MY OWN HEART"!!

Mar Mari is a great Christian leader. Even though he doesn’t understand Protestantism, Luther did not want to go apart from the Roman Church. The Roman Church was liters going to kill him. But as a Christian he still spread the gospel and thus Lutheranism comes along. And other denominations after that. Now as Protestants we don’t believe the church was wrong for 1500 years. There has always been a remenant of God in every century. That is because we believe in one holy spiritual Church, not an institution. The Church never corrupted, it can’t. Institution do currupt. That’s why there are old Protestant (or not anymore) that accepted secular thinking. But those are no longer Christian. But don’t be worried my brothers. For God always has a remenant of his people. Just like Elijah thought he was the last, then God told him
“Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.””
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭19‬:‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
““Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭3‬-‭5‬
So Mar Mari God bless you. And thanks for your wisdom from a Protestant. And God bless you all.

You'll quote all the passages supporting your doctrines but not these ones:
Matthew 22:32(shows soul sleep is a false teaching)
1 Timothy 2:1-5(showing that God delights in prayers for the salvation of others, and that just as Jesus shares in his divinity with God, we the living on earth and in Heaven share in his mediation)
1 Timothy 3:15 (shows that the Church is essential for having truth)
Timothy 3:16(often misused to support Sola Scriptura but, Sola Scriptura is a tradition of men. This verse refers to the Septuagint in its entirety, included the deutero-canonicals)
James 1:27 (We as Christians do have religion)
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4(Warning us that people will leave the Church and faith aka Apostasy which means you CAN lose your salvation)(i dont know if you are calvinist or not so I am throwing this and some freewill stuff in here just in case)
Colossians 1:13-20 (To Catholics: Jesus is the HEAD of the Church. To: Predestined Salvation affirmers: God wants to reconcile all things to himself whether they are on heaven or on earth through the blood of the cross.)
Romans 6:1-4, John3:4-6, 1 Peter 3:21-22, Ephesians 4:5, Galatians 3:26-29, Colossians 2:11-13 (Showing baptism saves and is the instrument which God uses to administer his grace and forgive us of our sins, regenerate us, and cause to be born again)
      Thief on the cross misuse:
The truth is that the thief was not saved under the same law and dispensation that we are under. He was still under the Old Testament, not the gospel. That is why he was not required to believe what we must believe nor to receive the same baptism that we must receive. The terms of his forgiveness teach us nothing about what we must do to be saved. Because the Gospel did not come into effect until Christ has fully died on the cross.
John 15:26, James 1:17(Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father alone, because all GOOD GIFTS come from the FATHER of light)
1 Corinthians 11:27(Do not take communion lightly, it is more than just a symbol it is the instrument in which we receive the body and blood of Christ.
"There is this relationship between the cup, this sign that God gives to us, and that which the sign signifies. It is so close, so tied together, that you could almost speak of them as one and the same. It does not mean the bread and wine are transforming into something they weren’t before, they’re still bread and wine, but through them we receive the body and blood of Jesus."-Adriel Sanchez of CoreChristianity)
Revelation 14:12-13, John 15:1-8, John 15:10, John 15:14, John 3:36, Galatians 5:6-7, Galatians 6:2, Galatians 6:7-10, Romans 3:21-31, Romans 9:30-33, James 2:14-26, Ephesians 2:8-10 (Faith AND Works are necessary, you do NOT have one without the other.)
Luke 10:16 (By rejecting the teachings of truth which comes from the Church cf. 1 Timothy 3:15)

Calling the Church "Catholic" is seen in Acts 9:31: "Ecclesia Kat' Holes"
Peter took his office, his authority with him as long as he lived. Peter was the first bishop of Antioch until he went to Rome where he was martyred. The book of Acts ends with the Church in Rome.
Read the book of the prophet Daniel. Christ identified Himself as the "Son of Man" to Whom Daniel referred. Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul, and the book of Revelation assume that the identity of Daniel's Fourth Kingdom is the Roman Empire. Daniel 7:27 says that this 4th Kingdom and the dominion of all kingdoms would be given to the saints of the Highest One, and that His Kingdom would be for all people (i.e. "Catholic") and last forever.
Did you get that? The Roman Empire would be given to the true Church of God. So, if your place of worship has no resemblance to anything Roman, does NOT look like the converted Roman Empire, it's NOT the Church of the Highest One prophesied by Daniel and fulfilled in Christ. The Bible NEVER SAYS and Jesus NEVER said "ALL true instruction to lead to eternal life is to be found in Holy Scripture."
DIVINE TRADITION IS THE ORAL WORD OF GOD JESUS TAUGHT HIS APOSTLES. IT'S NOT LESS THAN THE BIBLE. BOTH MAKE UP THE "DEPOSIT OF FAITH." PROTESTANTS THREW AWAY JESUS'S ORAL DIVINE TRADITION SO THEY *DO NOT HAVE THE FULL GOSPEL*
Deuteronomy 4:2"You shall not add to the word of God, ... nor take away from it. " Protestants didn't just throw away Divine oral Tradition but also threw 7 books out of their Bibles. Matthew 4:4 says, "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." Protestants don't have EVERY WORD, only PART of the written Word, none of the Oral Word.
Remember, we're NOT Jews. The Holy Spirit fell on the Church, not the rabbis.
Jesus and His Apostles used and quoted the Septuagint Bible. Protestants use the rabbis' shorter Masoretic text that didn't EXIST until almost 100 years AFTER Jesus ascended into Heaven.
Jesus said in John 16:12,13: "I HAVE MANY MORE THINGS TO SAY TO YOU, BUT YOU CANNOT BEAR THEM NOW. BUT WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH...."
Truth NOT written in the Bible.
The Catholic Church guards the oral teaching -- called, not tradition of men, but *Divine Tradition* -- which Jesus taught His Apostles, and which the Bible tells us to keep, in 2Thessalonians2:15, 1Corinthians11:2, 2Timothy1:13, 2Timothy2:2 and Titus1:9. Protestants threw away Jesus's oral teaching, violating: Deuteronomy 4:2, "You shall not add to the word.of God ... nor take away from it,"
Psalm 118:160 says, "The SUM of Thy Word is Truth" and Matthew 4:4 "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Oral Word of God (Divine Tradition) + Written Word of God ( Holy Scripture) = the FULL GOSPEL
*ONLY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS THE FULL GOSPEL.*
Holy DIVINE Traditions guarded by the Catholic Church are: the 7 Sacraments, especially the detailed ritual of Baptism and various rituals of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the correct interpretation of Scripture, especially teachings on Mary's sinlessness, the intecession of the saints, Indulgences, Purgatory, use of holy water, relics, blessings, and other sacramentals.
Luther worked NO MIRACLES to prove he had authority to change the Church. Instead,
      1) he broke his vows, solemn promises to God, he had freely made.
      2) He threw away 7 books from Scripture, and
      3) he forbade the publication of the Epistle of St. James from his edition of the German Bible because James EXPLICITLY *DENIES* Luther's made-up doctrine of salvation by faith alone.
Your rejection of the FULL GOSPEL risks having Jesus say to you, "Depart from Me. I never knew you." Your pride blinds you to the Truth.

Martin Luther was a Catholic Priest, and a monk. He had a lot of education and taught at the University. He wrote the 95 theses or things that were not in the Bible and posted it on the church doors at Wittenberg Germany. Things like Purgatory, and Indulgence tax and the list goes on and on. The Catholic church made merchadise out of the public and used them for their own financial gain. The Spanish Inquisition and the Italian Inquisition are good examples of just how corrupt they were. They burned at the stake hundreds of thousands of people for not adhering to their stupid dogma. At the time, you had to believe the earth was flat. Napoleon put an end to the Inquisitions by conquering Spain and Italy and taking the Pope to France as a prisioner. The Protestant movement was long overdue and Martin Luther can be thanked for getting it started. Shame on you.

The more charitable way to look at Protestantism is this: The difficulties and culturally/politically motivated issues that cropped up in the Catholic (and to a lesser extent, Orthodox) churches were treated by people who saw the problems with forbearance for generations. When no corrections came about even with clerical encouragement and the peoples' concerns-Matt. 18, etc.-people felt the church had left them, yet they were the church as well. The humble ministry of reconciliation was not enjoined and isn't to this day. I am deeply troubled, the deeper in history I go, by the lack of that first ministry of the gospel-love for one another.

Apostolic churches only worship Jesus Christ/the holy Trinity. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. We do not worship Mary or the saints. If you read about these faiths instead of relying on protestant misconceptions then maybe you'd understand better. Veneration is distinctly different from worship.
The apostles started the church BEFORE the Bible even existed... Their traditions have lived throughout the ages as something that predated the Bible. Therefore biblical reference isn't everything and is limited because people can twist it and turn it into their own separate agenda. Without these churches, protestantism wouldn't have any bible to lean on and therefore wouldn't exist. What exists outside of the Bible is tradition and holy sacraments that can't be twisted and misconstrued which is why it has remained the same for thousands of years.
Protestantism is a lacking form of Christianity that is extremely watered down and they only think they are saved by faith alone and hardly have any discipline. I know Protestants that don't even think they need to repent because they are 'saved' only cus they are baptized. So they just spend their lives as they are in their regular secular habits and sins and think they are just going to waltz into heaven once they die, while at the same time condemning Catholics and telling people they are destined for hell when that is none of their business to judge in the first place..... A completely lazy and distorted form of Christianity in my opinion...
