Thank you sir! I'm a 2nd year university student at Toronto Metropolitan University, but I hope to become a police officer once I graduate. Love from Mississauga and thank you for everything you do!💙💙
Thank you sir! I’m in trios college in my last semester. I’m graduating this year. I want to be a cop. I want to apply after I graduate. I hope to get in ❤️🙏
May I add that good nerves are a must. I tried out to be a Police Officer with Peel Regional Police back in 1983. We had to do a time-limited questionnaire about different scenarios. They used an old-school windup clock to keep time, and when that thing rang, I screamed, lol. At that moment, I knew I was not Police material. I just admire the Police from the sidelines. I laughed at your story about your home visit! My brother was into motorcycles, and the noise and fumes were very familiar to me. You can't leave us hanging without telling us about your physical. :)
@@OfficerArsenault I just down know if I can do it I know there’s a lot of rules and conduct and I don’t know if I could handle stupid people or smart elecs
Honestly I have no chance for a career in this path but I salute and respect people who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting the innocent even if that means sometimes there will be slipups because we're all human and we all make mistakes I still respect the Toronto police and Ontario provincial police you need a sound mind you need stability and sobriety and the judgement and discernment, insight and wisdom required and lots of training. It's a tough process so guys good luck.
Thank you, Mr. Randy, for another informative video. Honestly, when I took my first step into policing, no one could explain what to do first. I searched, but I didn’t find proper guidelines. Maybe I didn’t search well. The first-ever step must be to pass a fitness test. I like Toronto Police and Ottawa Police's approach to the career. With RCMP and OPP applications, they ask for eye and hearing exams first. If you fail, you will have to retake those exams the next year. They don’t accept tests that are a year old. If you have coverage for that, that’s good. If you don’t, you waste your money for nothing. Also, Toronto Police only asks for the shuttle run, not the other things required by the PREP exam. I am the most stubborn person ever. After my incidents during my running, I decided to take time to pursue my dream job. Now I know what to start first. We can’t just put the roof without concrete or without walls. First, we must lay the foundation with concrete cement, then build the walls, and only then add the roof. We can’t just jump to the 10th floor and continue to go up. We should start step by step.
Thanks, Randy! I shared your videos to some of my godsons and a friend I know who will be joining the police force. Please keep continuing with these videos. Very important informative for those that want to join the police force.
Very well explained. Better than Toronto police ever advertise.Oh Yes, I forgot- if you drink, please, don't drive and please, be careful driving when it is snowing.
Hey Randall. My Dad did a lot of recruiting for the Brantford police service and he told me once that they get stacks of resumes and he always looked for volunteers who contributed to the community by volunteer work. Just one spelling error and the resume was instantly thrown out. Volenteer at food banks or thle salvation army and things of that sort always catches attention 😊😊
thanks sir, im 11 and i wanna train to become a cop so i can make money for my family, even if im rather clueless sometimes i wont give up on my dream to prove to my family that i can do big things!!🎉
I am 13 and interested in becoming a police officer. I know I am a little young young, but I am looking into a post-secondary course take. I am thinking about Public Administration, as it sets me up for policing and many other careers. Any thoughts?
Yes there is a lot of talk around education before policing these days, and it’s different in each state or province. I made a playlist and discuss some of what you’re commenting about. Please check it out, and good luck to you. ✌🏼 th-cam.com/play/PLhFQpJNoYaJmkPuP6Wvqads7iebLor-wl.html&si=34q6pSn-Jg5UebqW

Im a plumbing apprentice for Local 46 union I had to work because I am married and I grew up in a super tough neighborhood and currently living there. I want to change my career, I have life experiences and volunteering in the neighborhood but i cant afford to go back to school, is there a way to still stand out after receiving OACP without going to school?
Yes and your apprenticeship also counts as education. Please check out the playlist on how to be a cop and I cover those things, but yes you certainly have a chance.
Great video, I appreciate the in depth explanation! I’m a forensics science student studying at Trent university and am strongly considering joining the police force as a career path. I just want to make sure I have everything down. After completing the OACP, are the following steps conditional to one another? In other words do you have to pass one step to get to the other, or can they be done at the same time, for example do you absolutely have to pass the physical before taking the vision test? I’m mainly asking because I do not have 20/40 vison uncorrected, which is what is asked. But getting lasik might not be worth it if I don’t manage to pass prior steps of the application. Thanks again.
Yes the process can be confusing. Just FYI, most police services require the OACP certificate but not all, such as the OPP for example. Best to check the website if the service you’re interested in for specifics, and good luck to you!
Im in training right now as we speak to become an PO. Ive been running every single day for the past week, doing push ups, sit ups, doing long mile walks and etc… now here is my background story… im on Probation 😅😂right now as weak. Let me explain; apparently I’ve gotten convicted for “breaking and entering” BUT it was NOwhere near intentional, which it was cut from a criminal charge to a misdemeanor. My lawyer said that the judge was going to let me leave the courthouse without facing any crime but i was going to have that “breaking and entering” charge stuck on my criminal history and i was NOT haven’t that because when i did entered that persons van, i was out of it. I was actually having what you call an episode “seizure” on my way to the store and ended up in someone’s car unintentionally and they called the police on me. I ended going to jail my very first time in my entire life, (last) also cause I’ve never been locked up before nor in trouble with the police but i told my lawyer i didnt think it was fair that i was getting in trouble for having a seizure and i wanted to fight that case and so i took it to trial and i ended up on probation and had to make christmas cards for “Community Service” to dismiss this charge off my background 🤞🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽👍🏾 thank god!!! My criminal record is officially clear cause i really didnt have no control of that situation and even when i was in jail, even the cops had to reach out to my neurologist to request me more seizure pills cause i had one more episode while they had me detained that night. But i ended out the next day, went to court, fought my case and things ended up going good for me. Ive been keeping up with my physical and medical(mental) treatments as should. Keeping up with my trainings. Even spoke with my P.O about mentoring me about requesting my position of being an officer. He even came to my house tonight and gave me advice and told me he was proud of me of my life choices. I want to protect and serve our communities as well and i know i can do it. Believe it or not, im fit for this job. Ive been doing all my studying and writing so i can know what to expect and remember when i do go for my oral interview with the sheriff. Im getting ready, trained, and prepaired for ALL of it. I decided this is what i want and i want to retire doing this. Im ready for it all. Serve and protect ❤ and i want to go ahead and thank all the chiefs, lieutenants, sheriffs, police officers, probation officiers, lawyers, judges, and anybody who serves and protects our country period for all the hard work and dedication they put in for us. Ive been doing a whole lot of reading and studying and practicing thats for sure. Im now for sure dedicated to becoming apart of the law period and regardless 🤞🏽🙏🏽❤️ bad boys bad boys what you gonna do what you gonna do when they come for you! 😂👮🏽🫡

Anyways, ive known cops from hamilton to peel, toronto, opp , I never tire of watch police videos, one of my favourites is 10-7 for life about toronto cop Carol Banks , super interesting I think she quit eventually, another good video what canadian mounties go through, it's starts as Lady officer / supervisor at academy says to new recruit "in what year did we become royal canadian mountied police? He says 1920 low voice , she say that's as loud as you can be? He repeats slightly higher, she says my goodness God forbid the day you have to yell stop police drop the knife because they're coming at you with an edged weapon, there's no whispering, there's no room for meek and mild in this job
Hello.. I am 31 years old and have 10 years of experience as a police officer in Algeria and I also have a certificate... and I am thinking of entering Canada through express entry and obtaining permanent residency.. Can I work as a police officer in the province of Alberta?
First you serve out your sentence in prison, then send them your application, onece they get it they will hire you. Then you watch a 30 minute training video on how to kneel on necks. Then they issue you a gun, and then a car. Don’t ever leave your car. Patrollng is not allowed.
