LOS2 was a dissapointing sequel, it should of been more like the trailer. Stealth sections ruined it cause you're Dracula, who can take out an entire army, and a siege titan, but not a Golgoth Guard, it makes no sense. And there's so many great open places that you can't explore. I hope it gets remade into a better version of what we should of had
2024 and this trailer still gives me goosbumps. What a great time it was for gamers, when studios catered to us instead of board members. Even though the sequel wasn't great, the franchise was a hit with fans.
It was a shame that they decided to rush the LoS games with only 2 games and a handheld spin-off. Loved the lore of Lord of Shadows. I vastly preferred Gabriel to Mattias as Dracula.
Maybe there is some small hope now , with the announcement that Konami is wiling to give away its ips . Maybe , just maybe MS can get their hands on it too and give LOS 3 but with the proper care and development this time .

The ones that grew up with the orignal nes , snes ones and can accept and love all CV , love LOS ones as well . The care is clearly there but not as much yea , i just hope that MS can get a shoot at it again , i don't care if it will be like MoF on a smaller scale and side scroller , something will be fine , ofc it would be more preferable to be of larger scale , fully 3d , more epic etc.

Nintendo showed Konami that using Mercury Steam well can be profitable. Hopefully they offer the license once again but after so many years, it's a dream at this point to hope that the LoS IP itself could come back. We have a better shot at getting another Castlevania spin off.

You know, looking back. I think this game would have been awesome if it picked up where the first one ended and had us amass an army of darkness. He could have gone around gathering generals and fighting them to get them to join him. Towards the end the generals could have betrayed him he fights them all again but this time with the powers he has bestowed upon them. The final battle could have easily been this scene where he stands alone after killing his generals. True the humans wouldn't have posse much of a threat, but thats the point isn't it? To feel all powerful as the Prince of Darkness? The final boss would have been Alucard and then they could have made a 3rd one that was basically the 2nd one we got. Idk just ranting. Every time I think of this game i think of the missed opportunities there were. Rant over, still love this piece of music

This is a masterpiece and I have not seen a better trailer that would convey better emotions just by music and content processing.

100 % agree. Fucking wasted opportunity creating such a bleak, lifeless urban city. Tiny and tons of backtracking. They should've stayed with the 1st sequences idea. And continued doing what they did in LOS 1. So creative and yet not straying from the gothic adventure concept.

I'd buy the rights to Castlevania to remake this game to what it was supposed to be, the director is an ass that ruined LoS 2. Dracula is feared by the world and can kill Satan, yet he needs to sneak past armored guards. That part makes no sense and ruined the logic and fun of the game. It should have played how it does in the trailer. You're supposed to be Dracula, the all powerful demon from the old stories where nothing can kill him. The beginning of the game is the best, so I'd keep that in
If you play the game you can see that dracula lost all of his ability the one who gain is the sword, the fire fist and his blood rope those are the weapon he use to destroy satan but then when satan was destroyde dracula obtain a blood power that make him powerful like this in the trailer, but then when he heard about gabriel worrying about him he changed and told gabriel his reason why he's staying in the castle soo that monster and satan will be scared to come back since he is there ( sorry for my bad grammar) dracula sleep for over a decade that a new technology which outclass anything, but then dracula sleeping is planned to destroy satan ressurection but in order to fully destroy satan dracula must not use the blood magic which protect the castle oe dracula will be consume of power when satan if defeated soo dracula did it in a way where he defeat satan with just his own ability the sword fie fist and blood rope.
while i agree with the stealth sections and over the top unnecesary action scenes those consist like 10% ish percent of the game so i would not call it "they ruined the game" still the game is fantastic and worth playing and replaying , i dont let internet herd mentality ruin game experiences for me

FACTS!!! the whole team working on this game fell apart at the last minute, The game was supposed to be way better.. It deserved a better more sturdy team. The first one is light years better than the second, I was so disappointed when I purchased it.. . but I still ended it.

I'd buy the rights to Castlevania to remake this game to what it was supposed to be, the director is an ass that ruined LoS 2. Dracula is feared by the world and can kill Satan, yet he needs to sneak past armored guards. That part makes no sense and ruined the logic and fun of the game. It should have played how it does in the trailer. You're supposed to be Dracula, the all powerful demon from the old stories where nothing can kill him. The beginning of the game is the best, so I'd keep that in
If you play the game you can see that dracula lost all of his ability the one who gain is the sword, the fire fist and his blood rope those are the weapon he use to destroy satan but then when satan was destroyde dracula obtain a blood power that make him powerful like this in the trailer, but then when he heard about gabriel worrying about him he changed and told gabriel his reason why he's staying in the castle soo that monster and satan will be scared to come back since he is there ( sorry for my bad grammar) dracula sleep for over a decade that a new technology which outclass anything, but then dracula sleeping is planned to destroy satan ressurection but in order to fully destroy satan dracula must not use the blood magic which protect the castle oe dracula will be consume of power when satan if defeated soo dracula did it in a way where he defeat satan with just his own ability the sword fie fist and blood rope.

while i agree with the stealth sections and over the top unnecesary action scenes those consist like 10% ish percent of the game so i would not call it "they ruined the game" still the game is fantastic and worth playing and replaying , i dont let internet herd mentality ruin game experiences for me
