Okay, let's get back to what I know best! ....Really sad covers.
So this has been sitting on my computer for an eternity
because I promised myself I wouldn't post anything until
the Q&A madness was done. In fact, I said I'd sing this
almost a year ago, so sorry for the wait!
(And I'm sorry Hiragi for not being able to use your lyrics ;;)
Anyway, the project file internally combusted in the
middle of me mixing so it might be a little too forward.

Heres what alot of you people arent understanding. The girl didn't die because of the icecream being spilt. You could see it in her eyes. When the pink haired girl and the green haired girl were fighting, the fear that the brown haired girl was feeling. Its like your whole body is being torn apart, when you see the two people you care about the most fighting. The charm, it was something that symoblized their friendship, so when the girl ran out into the road, she did so without thinking. She was aware of the danger, but to save their friendship she would have done anything. Think about how as the girls grow up the brown haired girl looks more and more dead, emotionless. She feels as if she is nothing, because her dying tore them apart. The Green haired girl saw the death, and blamed the pink haired girl at first, who was already blaming herself at the end of elementary.
Wow...after reading that...it clicked into place. I then cried for an additional 10 minutes upon rewatching the video to confirm it.
Nope I'm just heartless at time I never cry at super sad thing that your suppose to cry at but when I watch a anime character die and I've grown attached to that character I'm crying every time I watch that scene

When the years passed their in high school first thing you do when you see a friend you lost after a death of a friend after the reunion zimi felt at peace. Spirits that have unfinished business they tend to roam around until they fix everything zimi did just that and now she's happy

I kinda felt like the song is about the 5 stages of grief.
Denial- Meiko/Zimi sees her friends fighting and is in disbelief.
Anger- Miku at the funeral, yelling at Luka.
Bargaining- Miku is trying to bargain away her feelings by getting another friend that looks like Meiko/Zimi.
Depression- Meiko/Zimi becoming a depressed and emotionless ghost, wanting to fix what's happened.
Acceptance- Luka and Miku making up in the end, and being on the hill(and/or)Meiko/Zimi finally seeing her friends happy again and going to heaven.
Wow...such an insightful interpretation! I'd never thought of the song in that way before, but it really adds to its poignancy. :)

The part when little Miku was screaming and crying the funeral, always made me cry because that is actually how I was when I was at my grandmother's funeral. I was 11. Although it was just my family and relatives, I was screaming and crying so loud that my mother told me to be quiet, but I couldn't stop crying. When all of us were on a bus, heading back to the house, they were trying to cheer each other up, but I was too depressed, or grieved in others' POVs, and tired to even smile, let alone look at anyone. As the first grandchild, her and I were really close. I had a dream about her a few months later. She didn't look like she was in the hospital. She was naturally beautiful, as she has been all of her life. She rarely, almost never, wore makeup. God I miss her so much!💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

And yes, she will always be with me and my family. Even a few weeks after her passing, I tried to talk to her. Not with the Ouija board or any dark magic. I sorta have "the gift" and I sensed her with me in my last location, as well as I sensed other spirits.
***** It is a little complicated though. It only lets me sense other spirits in certain locations. At my last location, the housing area was new, but I "saw" a little boy with short neat brown hair, no older than 7 or 8, wearing a sailor outfit. He would tug at my sleeve or my pants, telling or asking me to play with him. He was mostly in my room, laughing and playing with a ball. Even though I didn't know much about evil being in disguise, I can tell that he was a good spirit. He looked familiar though. Then it hit me. He looked scary similar to Prince Alexei of Russia!!

the reason zimis ghost hasnt gone to the other side is because shes at unrest . she knows both miku & luka blames themselves for the accident . miku tries to cope with her feels by trying to find other friends but she cant , luka has spiraled into depression & still cant look at miku without getting sad (witch is why she starts running away from miku at 3:13 ). but after miku has tried everything to cope with the feeling of her part of the blame she starts barganing with luka & admitting she started the fight witch caused zimis early department from life . thus them becoming friends again & causing zimis restless ghost to finally find peace & walk over to the other side . hence why zimi says ''yuu nee'' at 4:11 (roughly translated : see you ). thats why zimi also disappears at the end of the music video.

I cried so hard coming back to this song. I feel like in a way it's almost a metaphor in some ways. The story could be retold as her not dying, but instead trying endlessly to fix their friendship, and not being successful for a long time until just that once. Then she found her job was finally done.
I can relate to this in a way, my friend Morgan left for a different school, she was the one who held our friendship together. This leaves Madison and Sydney hating each other and separating, while last year they were the best of friends. I feel like I can't do anything, no matter how hard I try nothing can change.
Maybe I'll have that one day.

Technically, she didn't die over the ice cream. Luka and Miku could've let that go without fighting. But why she died, is because while they were truly fighting, Luka's charm had disattached, and their star charms was a symbol of their best-friendship, and she wanted to save it, so she went onto the road to pick it up without looking or thinking. And as the scenes progress, the girl starts to look more grey/pale and dead inside not because she's dead, but she feels like she's useless cause she thinks that her dying broke Luka and Miku apart.

After rewatching this, it didn't really sit right with me how Zimi looked so lifeless then I thought that ghosts who haven't crossed over forget what happened when they were still living. When she awoke as a ghost she saw luka and miku and so continued to follow them but she almost didn't know what happened, so when she was lifelessly sitting she didn't recognize who adult luka was but felt a connection with her and followed her, that's why she was staring intently at the star-shaped paintings.

She actually looks lifeless because she wasn't able to move on. Her soul was deteriorating and all she ever wanted was Luka and Miku to be friends again. She still knows who they are and is finally able to move on at the end of the song.

Anyone noticed that the girl died over ice cream? I mean it was just an accident and that green haired girl (probably supposed to portray miku(no surprise)) just attacked her friend (probably portrayed by Luka) even though it was just an accident. I've had my ice cream knocked over a ton of times by mistakes I have never attacked anyone over it (my elementary teachers would say their surprised I'm sure) Also the black cat probably could sense the girl because black cats are legended to be partnered with the supernatural.
She died because she saw Miku star fall down to the ground as Miku and Luka were fighting about their ice cream. So when the girl chase after the star that had fallen. The car hit her and she died....

It's representing they were all best friends and they 'tied' it with those star keychains, which is why it was the symbol of their friendship. And the 'ripped a seam' is representing when Luka's 'tie', aka her chain, ripped off her tote bag while they were fighting.

This song is beautiful, but it just... makes me depressed. I do have a fear of dying, but not because it would end my life. It's because I'd hurt everyone around me. This song always makes me imagine what would happen if I were to die today. It makes me imagine the looks on my friends and family's faces when they got the news, and everyone I know mourning over me. I'd hate to cause even one person that kind of pain! I'd rather have everyone forget about me completely than everyone grieving over me.

I thought I’d share my story right here because I just cannot believe what has happened. When I was little, I was very close friends with two girls and we were neighbors. We ended up becoming really close friends. Well, something happened between our parents, and long story short, the two girls were gone from my life. I don’t know all the details, but there was drama where we were living. Our friend, ended up passing away from cancer when we were 10, and since then I haven’t been able to talk or see her again, I felt rejected, closed off, and was dealing with my own grief for our friend. Well… today, almost ten years later, I checked my Instagram which I very very rarely do, and I saw a follow request from my old friend. We got to talking, exchanged remaining pictures and videos of our friend and we’re meeting for coffee sometime next week. And then this song came on my autoplay. It just has spoke to me so dearly and I’m so grateful to see your cover of this Juby… thank you so very much

It's weird. Whenever you hear a sad Vocaloid song, you don't cry(Prisoner and Paper Plane are exceptions), yet when someone creates a fandub of it, you cry.
Emotions are hard to synthesize where as a talented singer can hit the right notes, tones, and inflections to convey lots of emotion.
