I am so glad that this is not an ASMR video. I live alone and rarely have visitors or interactions with others. Hearing your voices is a great reprieve from my quiet, solitary life. Thanks for the video. 💛✨
You might enjoy Sailing Into Freedom, it's a sailing channel with an Australian guy with a fun sense of humor. He's had some wild adventures too. Now he's in Vietnam building an aluminum catamaran with no combustible fuel, to sail around the world. He's got a lot of videos with fun people from the past too.
Just really enjoy all the places you guy’s experience. Notice that Willa is now swimming without any arm bands or life jacket now. Great job Willa! Go Bodi Go! Love watching the kids grow.❤
Hey, just want you to know I just love your videos and your lifestyle. 1 year ago we moved onboard to our sailboat with our 3 kids to get the same experience. And I can say, this is not for everyone, but we absolutley love it. As you say, we do not have a leader, but we do have a shared compassion:)
They had solar panels, so electricity. 2 familles are said to live there. Please remember that the Tuamotus are part of French Polynesia. Operative word here is French. All the islands receive subsidies from France. They get free medical if they can go to a hospital, etc
I can't understand why you didn't ask the tour guide where all the people were or for more background information on the abandoned structures, may have been interesting.
I thought the same thing! He mentioned several times about the lack of people and missing children etc and showed all the dwellings but yet never thought to ask? wtf. Really!!?? 😂
My wife and I watch your Channel all the time we love it. We can understand the Island of Eden, a simple place, a place to recharge to regenerate without the app.
Interesting Atoll! Is fishing an industry that supports the people? Pearl farming? Did the man who conducted the tour talk about pearl farming? Where are their boats? Moringa is a great herb! Too bad the chickens and pigs aren’t on soil. I wonder if they use fish emulsion for fertilizer or strictly chicken manure? The gardens look like they are thriving. Thank you Ben and Ashley for sharing about this Atoll in the Tuamotu Islands.
Impressive what they've accomplished, but it so fragile. One big storm and the overhead netting gets blown away, one big wave and the top soil is ruined. I hope the people there are happy.
Awesome video! It's very interesting to see them growing vanilla that way. It grew wild on a tree outside my house in Costa Rica. It grows wild like other orchids, but a vine type. So it makes sense that it needs shade because it lives under the canopy in the wild.
I liked your introspective observations of their lives and your lives and the extention into all our lives. Perspective is a good word. We can't make blanket statements about right or wrong any of them. We should all live our chosen life and leave others to theirs without judgment. You did that.
The cult of Crazy Canucks! Be the perfect name if Ben & Ashley decide to start one. Wait, does that make me a cultist as a TH-cam fan from Vancouver, BC? Thanks for a great video, and what a cool destination. The beauty of life in its simplest form.😊
I really enjoyed all of your videos throughout the years. Both of you and your children look so healthy and happy. Quite a different distinction from the normal family unit on land.
Very nice video ❤ thank you so much for sharing. The Island is beautiful... God bless us all and may He keep you safely afloat with wind in your sails. ~ Jamie ~
What great ending. it's amazing what u guys discover. I just wonder why u didn't ask him where everyone was?? It takes quite a few ppl to manage gardens like that. such a remote place to live.
Nice tour. Perhaps this place is seasonal and people continue to work back home to afford this lifestyle part of the year. Perhaps they are working towards retirement. The reasons do not have to be ominous. There will always be the critics no matter what the topic or place. It looks like they are doing something amazing. Good for them. Thanks for the tour.
So very interesting. Thank you for taking us there. Definitely "eye of beholder". We would appreciate our luxuries if once in awhile lived more spartan. Fair winds.
Sarcasm? They basically set a premise that they found a cult and proceeded to judge based on some religious signage. They found caretakers of a retreat facility. But needed to hook their TH-cam audience with a catchy title.
@@bridges8263 They said they liked it. They compared it to their own lifestyle. They're allowed to wonder. Seemed nonjudgmental to me. There's absolutely nothing wrong with questioning belief systems. The world would be a better place if we all questioned our belief systems.
Click bait title….”did we find a CULT?” Then some really nice caretaker showing them the resort. Turns out there is only two families living there. Not that strange…..
Thanks for showing us I love the sound of being so self sufficient. I wonder what that fella uses a watch for he can't have many appointments to get to ?
Just lost a dear sailor friend, I will truly miss but thank God you share both your boating & family with me....Hope some day you will reach out so we can EMail
Ben and Ashley hi from Calgary. Great episode as per usual very unique however like you said some questions remain. But still amazing techniques are being used to create that very livable place. I appreciated your approach as polite guests while on their? island. I agree who are we to judge someone else's way of life as long as it's peaceful and respectful of all who live there, just like Nahoa. The kids are amazing swimmers. Thanks
Great video! That's the thing about religion, I was brought up Catholic and now consider my self not very religious for various reasons but we did baptize our kids Episcopalian just for the simple reason that, I'd rather have them growing up believing in something than believing in nothing and not having a sense of good and evil. I guess church on Christmas and maybe easter i better than nothing. 😜 That place looks like it peaked quite a few years ago. It isn't very easy to get to, that's for sure. They should ask people to bring a bag of soil with every visit.
They are leaving there story, not imposing their view like all predictors over the world or their view on woman choice (happen in quite big country) so respect
Tule hai have a village, lots of resorts and restaurants around, don’t see this place as isolated in a middle of the sea, the place is known for snorkeling
He/They seem to have great knowledge of agriculture, mixing old knowledge with modern knowledge and methods .. and no sign of superstition (regarding agriculture) or environmentalist agendas - Just down to earth logic, I like that.
You know, sometimes I’m just so shocked at the apparent rudeness of People, wouldn’t the People who made the comments about the Pig’s being “Nasty”, (Pig’s ARE naturally “Nasty”) & without Water, be embarrassed to find out that they had been put in the pens only when “Visitors” were there. (Maybe to protect them from the “Nasty People”!) They certainly didn’t look as if they had missed any meals or water, & they had the “Muscles” that they do Not get from living in “Pens”, but from roaming & living “Free”. I loved this & have only admiration for what appears to be highly intelligent, resilient People that we can learn much from, about ourselves……….
This atoll is not a desert, there is two resorts close to the airport. On a big atoll named Rangiroa, less than 30 Nm away, there is a vinyard (north shore). It is not easy but almost every thing can grow over here, the main issue is to get water as there is very few rain episode.

It would have bothered me too much not see other people and would have kept asking, I'd want to make sure no one was there against their will, even to the point of flying the drone around the island to see where they were.
remote island are like paradise for people who come from busy place, but what are thinking those who live there, is it like a prison are they authorised to go elsewhere, strange that this place, as you say, is so empty, is it always the case when foreigner come

Thank you!!! A very mature balanced approach to a different culture. Great videography and content as usual. Keep up the good work.
A truly lovely episode, thank you🍁 and your kids appear to be thriving 😊
Thank you for taking us along and sharing your travels.

I would say, it’s one of your best episodes. Love your comments, thoughts and explanations. Thanks ❤
I can't understand why you didn't ask the tour guide where all the people were or for more background information on the abandoned structures, may have been interesting.
Pewnie to sekta i reszta wiernych została zjedzona i przerobiona na kompost.
Yea definitely weird. Like bros gotta ask questions I’m sure they would love to tell us. You will make a better video the more questions asked
I thought the same thing! He mentioned several times about the lack of people and missing children etc and showed all the dwellings but yet never thought to ask? wtf. Really!!?? 😂
My takeaway, create your own garden of Eden. It's okay to pick your nose, just like Bohdi, no matter whose watching.
Thanks for sharing your Eden.
Yes, you can pick your own nose and you can pick your own friends. You cannot pick your friends nose.
Love you guys! Thanks 4 taking us on the tour with you. Very interesting & beautiful. Safe journey. ❤
A fascinating episode. You did nicely in considering the ambiguity. Thank you

👍🏻 Mahalo. My first thought was also 'Where are the people ?' What was shown could NOT sustain many people physically. Perhaps there is more🤔
There's the Sea which has supported a lot of people like these for centuries.
Just found your channel. I'm loving your videos!! You guys are living the dream!!
Shade cloth. We use it in Colorado. Great way to beat the heat! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thanks for the influence on my life.
Love your mature views and stunning locations!
I will be moving to the Philippines soon and I will be building a farm much like this.
Very nice video ❤ thank you so much for sharing. The Island is beautiful... God bless us all and may He keep you safely afloat with wind in your sails.

New subscriber here.. nice meeting with Ashley and kids at YVR airport
Nice, non judgemental video.

Definitely judgy tones throughout the video. I had to stop watching when he started interviewing himself because he saw too many faucets! 😂
@livingwellness 😂
“Whose ball is this?!” 🤡
Well Sherlock, looks like it’s been there since 1990. Not sure it’ll pass as cult like behavior.
Thanks for showing us I love the sound of being so self sufficient. I wonder what that fella uses a watch for he can't have many appointments to get to ?
10:00 appointment to meet the tourists I guess
That was my thought too! No matter where one lives, eventually the conveniences of
modernity creeps in.
Just lost a dear sailor friend, I will truly miss but thank God you

Really interesting!! Sad it is in decline as is shown with the benches piles up etc. May they live in peace.
Fascinating.
Salad crops can handle some partial shade

I foresee some delish mojitos as sundowners tonight❤👍
Healthy self sufficient lifestyle, that is also the goal for our farm in the Philippines
Jak sobie radzicie z porą silnych deszczy i wiatrów- montujecie elektrownie wiatrowe?

Yeah he seemed friendly and willing to explain things
I keep thinking about that movie, The Beach.

Wodę można zrobić poprzez odwróconą osmozę, albo jak napisałeś; popłynąć po nią 30 mil.
Would love to hear about some of the things you guys have seen out there that maybe dosnt always make the videos
We hobby farm an garden, but dream of boat life.... cause, maybe the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
What is the latest on the new boat?
Thanks for sharing its look spooky , empty as you say were is the children but intressant to see ❤
You know one of the things we love so much about your videos is Ben telling a story! Well Done, always enjoyable! Fair winds and following seas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That is wayyyy cool to me!
Thank you.
19:54 Beautiful kids, great content 🎉
Old mate looked so healthy
I feel like all the people realized that the conditions were too harsh and started leaving, and this family is whats left, for now.
Czy jest możliwe że przez 90 dni w roku tak tam wieje że głowę urywa?
what a beautiful place... I wonder how someone can get some supplies to them? like more mesh?
im not talking thousands but a little..
Love you ❤
Why did you not ask the tour guide where everyone is?
Is it a Well?
Intrigued. I need to read more about the history of this place. Any links in your research?
Les Tuamotus a paradise created by Bernard Moitessier and a few friends in the late 1970s
Hi guys. One question,, why you didn't ask, "were are all the people??? what happen?
Takich pytań nie wolno zadawać!
Where do they get water for drinking ?
Where does their water come from?
where did they get water, only rain?
Interesting
Life is truly good
Hmm, no i kinda want to go there.
Do they fresh water
Probably rain water collection
Hope it does not disappear when the water start to rise. Not everyone can live in harsh climates.
Maybe the people are delivering vanilla. And they don't want to get the island sick.
I want to live there
Why didn’t you ask the tour guide where the people and children were?
Where do they get fresh water?
rain mostly
a solar still will also give some
they get salt by evaporating sea water so collect the evaporated water
As a native Tahitian, I’m sick and tired of outsiders pushing/ forcing their religious beliefs on us, trying to erase our culture and traditions.
Did Steve get his pepper?
Where are all the people?

Nice
It would have bothered me too much not see other people and would have kept asking, I'd want to make sure no one was there against their will, even to the point of flying the drone around the island to see where they were.

Looks really nice. Just how do you convince a women to live like that?

I’d rather live in your garden of Eden. Lovely wife, beautiful children, moveable scenery, and the challenge of surviving at sea.
Not just a red flag - a whole red flag store! no other people, no children, no women, all hidden? Jim Jones & Jonestown just around the corner.
