I used to have one of these years ago. Although I do have samples of the drums from it, watching this video and listening to these original preset drumkits bring back memories! I still use the samples from the DR202 in my MPC from time to time.
J, I ain't got nothing but love for you. Thanks to sticking to that old adage "Each one teach one." I bang out on my 2000XL using some of the wisdom you share. Much love, J. _Dave
But why are you doing it that way? There is an external track on the dr202 you could use to trigger the MPC and sequence on the dr 202. I think it was press shift and bass button on the dr202. The dr202 has 3 tracks total, drums, bass, and external. Look it up and try it out. Peace bro.
Joined Forces is such a cool concept that isn't really out there, especially with the mpc. Big ups on that. Have you thought about doing one with the sp-404 (or sx)? I've been brainstorming workflow on it but I feel like theres a better way to use them in a team than I have been. Love your videos, j!
For some reason I cant hear the sounds on the headphones or the rca I will buy midi and see if that works. I tried changing the output from ext to in and ext+in but no luck. One thing I had to do was replace the memory battery before it would work because there was a system error but since then i have no errors. Do you have any more information on the dr 202 besides the manual for troubleshooting? Thanks btw DOPE VIDEOS!
