Holy hell. I've known about Circa for a few years now because I used to be a huge Saosin fan. I never really fully dove into their stuff because my virgin ears were not prepared and couldn't handle the experimental / progressive vibe from this band; my tastes were not fully developed, but I just found this album today and I feel like I'm finally appreciating this band for what it is. Personally, I really haven't enjoyed music like I have with this song and "Only The Sun" for quite some time. Now I feel like it's time to go back and listen to their previous work with a more open mind. I always knew this band was talented but really couldn't grasp their vibe. Anchoring down my socially conditioned tastes to enjoy this piece of art.
Blue Sky is definitely my favorite album! Anthony Green and his crew are an amazing group of guys. And his family is perfect! :D He's a gem that should be cherished.
I don't know if you smoke pot or not... I do not anymore myself.. but Juturna is one of those albums you really have to just be in a different state of mind to 100% appreciate. Highly suggest it.

Anthony Fonseca They are refering to the off beat time signature as the basis of the song so instead of the 4/4 time signature. Where 4/4 completes a bar, the bar consists of an extra beat making it off beat but since they hold the beat through out that song it is off beat but it also isn't! :D

Beefslap i get the 5 beats within a measure of 4 i suppose. I totally understand the 5 beats as far as counting, but why isn't it listed as 5/5.. but actually 5/4?

All of those suggestions are good. Definitely listen to Lazarus, probably one of their best ever. Stop the F-cking Car, Holding Someone's Hair Back, Brother Song, In the Morning and Amazing.. Honestly, if you have the time, listen to all the their albums, you will not regret it.

Saw them Monday in Chicago, such a killer show. It was a shame to see Anthony Green get so pissed off because dumb asses could not do one simple thing for him. All he wanted was everyone to remain still until 3:46 and then go nuts...but no, people still had to crowd surf and he was literally trying to hit them and told the staff to kick them out.

I was surprised 'cause I didn't think the moshers would control themselves (as your group sadly didn't) but it was kinda surreal to see.
