i troubleshoot everything you said on this video. Microphone works in Windows, but whenever i try to use it in a application i does not work. I've spend couple hours including fresh windows 10 install and it still wont work in apps.
If it at least works in windows, you know the hardware is healthy. There has to be some setting that is blocking it. Check the privacy settings or something with windows allowing access to the microphone
I meet the same problem as you said today, it works in windows but not works in apps even I opened all the access already
@@lapfix Im facing the same problem some desktop apps such like games or even chrome is not accessing the microphone kindly make a video on this

I have the same problem since a year. Fresh Windows install didn't help.
Umm could you mind helping me, so i downloaded clownfish and then my mic suddenly stops working, in meet i on it then it closes automattically even in discord it doesnt work idk what do i do i deleted clownfish too *the voice changer*

Mine is recognised in Device manager, nothing else works. I've tried all the advanced driver stuff and sound settings, with no results. Is it possible my PC is just faulty and will never pick up input without repair?
You can try installing the latest driver from the manufacturer if it has one. If you are sure there is no other setting, then it may be a faulty mic and would need to be replaced
What if the settings are correct but it's still not accessing?
It may be a faulty camera. Most camera's are built into a small board and can be defective

It should recognize it, there are more app settings your can apply it to in the settings I show
