Former Corvette owner. I agree that the front and rear views of the car are attractive, and the gray, black and red elements have a nice balance. Your wheels are very sharp. I am not a fan of the side treatments as the black slashes are overdone and are detrimental to the car's stylish profile. Your style is very distinctive and will always be recognizable by those who follow corvettes on internet.

    Hey Mike
I got my first service at 1,100 miles. I don’t really understand why my car was at 50% on the oil life at that mileage. Seems a little premature on that usage for the mileage.
I’m a proponent of early oil change on a new motor.
It’s never too early to change a fluid someone told me!
Additionally, I did a complete transmission flush also at 1,100 miles.
Yes, it was expensive, but with all the issues we’ve heard about, I wanted a to head off any issues for my C8.
The HTC is the greatest thing IMO. So glad we went with that. Used to be around $4,000 or so for a “Rag Top”. So $7,500 was a big jump, but I’d never buy a soft top.
So great decision for both of us.
My first car was a brand new 1973 340 Cuda. Brown with a white interior. My experience told me don’t get a white interior ever again.
So good luck with the interior over time. I had jeans on a lot at age 18 when I got that car and had 50,000 miles on it when it got traded for the 1975 Trans Am
See you, Mark and Darren Wednesday Night for the Octane Hour.
Glad to see you’re enjoying both vehicles!
Very sorry to see the Camaro on its way out.
I have enjoyed the retro look from all the automakers.

My 2023 Z51 coupe has 5600 miles and the only issue I've had is a check engine light that involved the transmission modules not communicating. The transmission was shifting fine but I took it to the dealer anyway. They did a global reset and fixed the issue. They said it was a computer anomaly. I've added splash guards, radiator grill guards, jacking pucks, full front ppf and ceramic coating. I have the GT2 seats and they are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. I also have the black exhaust tips and I absolutely love them.

The non Z51 car does not generate brake dust so those new brakes and pads solved a problem that did not exist. Another thing about the HTC is that the way the section between the rear nacelles bulges up gives you a much more exotic car feel, sort of like my old 308 GTS and the the carbon flash A pillar, top, nacelles create a much more exotic look. I have the stealth option in my 2023 an personally think it looks better than CF. My HTC with mag ride seems to give the car a more solid feel than I had in my 2020 coupe. Exhaust definitely sounds better with HTC for some reason.

    • @mikewatch1487

What makes the C8 exotic is it's rare mounted engine. And deleting the most exotic thing doesn't make the car magically more exotic. The guy said himself he doesn't even use the convertible part of the car so yet again it's another thing we're it's hard to make sense of it.
