The shop did mine on the backside of the engine. It was one unit.. the cat was connected to the manifold and after driving it for one day it started back shaking and not going over 20mike per hour. It’s a 2012 Chevy Cruze
Hi I have chevy Cruze 2015 1.4, Getting rough idle and RPM going up down when Ac or Heater ON. This issue start after changing coolant water outlet. Last year I had same issue I changed pcv valve cover, Plugs, Battery. But issue resolved with Purge valve sensor. Now I have same issue after changing purge valve. What to do?
I got the same issue, ill acceleration it and it won't shift to the next gear and the engine like comes on(flashing) and traction control comes on. I need info please
Where do you get your parts? I have several aftermarket bolt ones and upgrades on my 2012 1.4 Eco Cruze. The one and only problem I've had is with an alloy thermostat I got on Amazon. But I knew that might be the case going into it, it was cheap and I said what the hell. But I'm waiting for ZZP to get their alloy thermostat back in stock because those seem to be fairly bulletproof. I'd argue, its many of the stock/OEM parts that suck. I'm still stock tuned, but even just my bolt ons and mods and simple upgrades have made a world of difference. GM screwed up hard with the Gen 1 Turbo Cruzes. Literally an entire website dedicated to them. I'm genuinely curious though, what aftermarket parts have you seen or heard bad luck with for the LUV/LUJ turbo models?

Walk to the back of the car…put your hand about 6 inches from the exhaust tailpipe…do you feel any pressure coming out?….have a friend rev the engine while you feel the pressure and see if it changes the exhaust pressure….if not that catalytic converter is most likely clogged
I need some help, i have a 2012 cruze 1.8L 6spd manual trans 75k, non turbo, im having a loss of power also, just wont get up and go, it feels real sluggish, i shoft around 2,500 is that to low? I also have no codes and i dont understand iv thrown tons of parts at it
just wondering if this vehicle was smoking out the tail pipe as well as engine stumble? I have a 2016 chevy trax that does that, after replacing the pcv/intake/valve cover/and turbo, still smokes, and engine runs rough and stumbles and miss fires, just wonder if my catalytic converter is block from all the oil burning through it from pcv, and turbo failure.
@@simoncopeland4287 nope, head gasket is fine, was just clogged catalytic burning off oil. Compression test was good 210psi on all cylinders, and no exhaust gases in the coolant, vehicle is running good now, no fluids low

If you replace the catalytic converter with one other than an oem converter then you are going to have the same problem. These cars only like the oem converters. I have a 2014 Cruze.

that's not the problem for power loss up a hill I changed converter and O2 sensor. It's the turbo lacking power

Mines was driving good all day but once i came to a stop at a red light, i could not accelerate anymore except at speeda of like 2 mph

If your seeing this and have no engine light but dealing with an exleration lag it’s acc the gas petal
I’m having that issue. No engine light but when I’m in the middle of accelerating rpm shoots up and my car won’t actually accelerate

You have a cracked head gasket, go to your local Midas and get a compression check.
