Swore an oath to serve her country all her days, however long or short - & kept that promise. Worked up until the end, 70 years’ dedicated service with 2 days off a year. But so gracious of you to remind us that she did “learn a lot these past years” God save us from sanctimonious Americans.

She was part of the era of decolonization and I give her credit for that. Nobody is or ever was or ever will be perfect but there are worse people out there as we speak, than the recently deceased Queen. I know about how and why one should be opposed to totalitarian regimes. My great grandparents were fishermen from Basilicata and Campania In Southern Italy. They came to Chicago to escape the rise of Benito Mussolini. So I am no fascist or colonizer. I just adore Britain and the British people.

The passing of the Queen - I must say I will miss seeing all those colorful outfits with the matching hats, gloves and purses. She was definitely a "Class Act with Style"!!!!
She was everything we were not. An example to us all. God bless you your majesty.

Think what you might about her, but she knew a lot more than many of us. It was surprising how well much of her wisdom held up over recent years.

My parents generation I see the Queens passing as the end of that incredible generation. Stoic is the word I would use. From a time when all the British people were together fought the Nazis stood firm and then simply got on with life. I see the Queen as representing Britain as stoic but graceful decency. A unbelievable sense of duty and loyalty. Preservation of the crown At all costs. particularly nowadays very rare qualities in a human being. RIP

I have had 4 deaths this year of family friends, and now 2 women I idolize. First was Carline Snow, wife of Tx flip and move star Harold Snow, Mother of the Snow sister and Gary Snow. Then a celebrity Nichelle Nicoles of Star Trek, then my dear friend Harold Snow Father of Gary and the Snow sisters on TX flip and move. Last month was Randy Martin of Texas Flip and move. He was like a Grand father to my daughter. She went to the funeral the evening on her first day of school this year. Just recently my husband lost a Battle Buddy from the Army Mark, and now Her ROYAL Majisty. Her Majestys death has hit me harder then all the others this year. I saw it coming but I didn't want to believe it! I don't want to believe it. This is the first I really cried for someone passing. RIP Ma'am! We will always love you. Thank you for all you have done and taught us. Thank you for your wisdom and strength! I wish I could have met you! You have and always will be an amazing woman!!!
