    I strongly believe that minimalism is to be aware of what really brings joy in our life, and to follow it. It's not the need of cutting everything in our lives to not feel guilty about the amount of things that we have, because if I feel happy possessing dozens of CDs or books because I love them, it's ok, if I am passionate about painting and I have like one hundred colours, it's ok. But if I have a wardrobe that is exploding because of lots of dresses that I never wear, and that makes me feel anxious in the morning when I have to choose what to wear, it's not ok. You seem to be very happy with your morning routine, so this IS minimalism, in my opinion. Nice channel, you have one more subscriber.

    My current routine:
    5:30 - wake up/shower
    5:50 - coffee/journaling
    6:00 - doing small tasks
    6:30 - breakfast

    that was my routine for the past several months, was good but it is wearing out a bit now these days

    5.10: 20-min meditation
    5.30: running or yoga (depends on the day)
    6.00: coffee
    6.10: cold shower
    6.15: reading
    7.00: out for work

    5 am -- wake up
    5:10 -- exercise
    6 am -- meditate, affirmations, reading
    6:30 -- coffee and shower
    7 am -- breakfast and get my daughter ready for school

    I like my morning routine really simple.
    Get up at about 05:00-07:00 (cause later than 8 and my day is ruined) and take a cold shower.
    Drink black coffe either brewed or cold brewed over night and work for 1-2 hours with the hardest takes I have to do during that day.
    Finnish of with 20-40 min of meditation.

    7:10: exercise and some stretchings
    7:30: declutter my room
    7:40: brush teeth and skincare routine
    8:00 make something to eat and prepare my lunch for my classes
    8:20: do some studying or repeat something
    This is my morning routine!

    Iron my father's work uniform for the day
    Have breakfast
    Take the dishes from the table

    Though the routine may not be minimal; it is intentional, thus minimalistic. Sounds like my ideal routine too! 👍

    Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed it and I’m inspired! I’m retired and find that structure and keeping busy is very important to my mental health. I love that your dog doesn’t even move when you get up in the morning. Obviously he’s not a morning person.😂

    Kudos to you! I find it validating that our two routines are so similar, despite having evolved into mine at a time when youtube did not exist and Hal Elrod was a high school student. I've always known my routine changed the course of each day, and in balance it has changed my whole life. The differences between my routine and yours are: I'm an early bird so I wake easily without an alarm, breakfast is big, savory, and always vegan, matcha replaces coffee for me because it's so tasty and so insanely healthy. Thanks for yours excellent videos.

    7: 00 wake up
    7: 10 Warm soy milk & breakfast (while making pasta for the animals)
    8 yoga
    8: 30 skin care
    9-12 italian lessons
    12-1 dinner
    1-2 brush teeth /care for my 11 cats (lost of feeding, cleaning eyes, litter changing etc).
    2-3 neuroscience lessons.
    3-4 create art.
    (and i guess any later in the day wouldn't be considered morning anymore :'D)
    (yes i brush my teeth later in the day, but i brush them when they need to be cleaned, and i find it kind of strange people brush before breakfast then leave it until nighttime to brush again).
    I'm not a student, i graduated a few years ago i work from home.

    Great video man! I’ve been trying to get on a morning routine so this was very helpful. I totally see the benefits, I’m just working on the discipline it takes to go to sleep sooner so that I can wake up earlier and have time before school for these habits. Right now my routine is just wake up at 635, get ready, shovel cereal into my mouth, and race to the school bus at 650 😂 have a wonderful day man

    I really enjoyed this video.
    It its good to have a morning routine and i like yours.
    Habits in the morning are very important to have a good start into the day! And some party like drinking and breakfast are essential for everyone.
    I struggle a lot with having a morning routine. Every morning is different and i wake up at different times. I dont feel comfortable with it and i already tried to have one. But now i feel motivated for trying it again. Lets see if it works!

    I'm in the middle of creating my morning routine. I'm struggling with it because I'm not a morning person... But I have to wake up because of university so it would be great to make my mornings healthier and not just getting up, get dressed, brush my teeth and run out the door.
    I like how you talked about the mistakes you make as well and not presenting a perfect image. It can be really hard when you try to create a morning routine but all you see from others is an already perfect routine...
    Also your dog is really cute :)

    I'm up by 8am. And working to 7. 😍I wake up shower etc then coffee and bfast while checking phone messages. I then clean and tidy my home and I also read daily.

    This is my morning routine:
    - Wake up at 6am
    - Brush teeth
    - Drink water (my switch after what you said to test it out)
    - Exercise for a few minutes (push ups, yoga or just a little stretch)
    - Meditate and pray
    - Make and eat breakfast (usually eggs)
    - Shower and get ready for work
    - Out the door by 7am

    And about my morning routine.. well, I still haven't mastered the early wake up and paired with not sleeping that good lately it usually ends up by waking up at around 9; yes, I have to improve my sleeping habits. But once awake I have my routine which I really enjoy. It starts with Meditation for 15min, afterwards I read for about 20-30min, then practice gratitude and a sort of journaling and once all that is done, I am off to the kitchen for a big glass of warm water and lemon juice that I drink while preparing my beloved oatmeal for breakfast. My workout practices comes a little later after breakfast - but still in the morning- as it's the time of the day I am way more motivated!

    My morning routine:
    5:30 am- wake up and sit up in my bed for a few seconds to gather energy
    5:31-5:40am- fix my bed and brush my teeth
    5:40-6:00am- sweep/rake leave out of my house
    6:00am- take a cold shower right outside of our house
    6:20-6:45am- eat, drink water then preapre for work
    6:45am- plan everything ahead on what I will do

    9.00am - wake up
    10.00am - get up
    10.05am - wash/get dressed
    10.40am - eat breakfast
    11.15am - 1st student arrives

    Read Tiny Habits if you're one of those who struggle to create a morning routine! Especially by using strategies like "pairing habits" and having "small wins", it makes creating a morning routine so much easier!! LOVE THIS VIDEO CHENG KIT

    Cheng! Another great video 😊 I started, and have successfully stuck to, a morning routine 4 weeks ago. Still in the bad habit of snoozing but getting better. 0645 wake up and bathroom. 0700-0720 Pilates/ yoga which has tremendously helped back pain.. it’s nearly done. I also listen to Optimal Health Daily Podcasts during my free flow yoga. 0720-0740, get dressed, hair and makeup. 0740-0800, meditation (also with Headspace!). Then, down to the office. In a few months, I’ll have to start my morning routine at 0515 which is worrying but I just can’t imagine starting the day without it now so I know I will adjust. I look so forward to it! Thank you!!

    CK, try finding an app that can block your distracting apps in the morning. I use that right now at it has helped to eliminate distractions at my "important hours"

    Love all of your videos! We're also having a similar morning routine, but still needs improvement - yoga and reading need to be added in the future :)
    P.S. You can modify your french press to improve its look - try removing the logos with acetone/nail polish remover or paint the whole plastic thing with acrylic spray in favorite color. We fix ugly items at home all the time... you can make wonders with an old item and make it beautiful again! :)

    I honestly try to sleep as late as possible. I have two kids a 1 year year old and an 8 year old. My son usually likes to wake up bright and early, regardless of how much I try to convince him that he is still sleepy. So
    I get up around 7AM
    wash my face
    make breakfast
    give the baby a bath
    drink coffee
    listen to my son read
    then read to both of them
    drink more coffee
    brush teeth
    get my son started on schoolwork
    play with baby
    lay her back down for more sleep and usually fall back to sleep until my son is finished with his independent work.

    Mine is pretty simple. Wake up at 6 or 6:30am depend on my snooze 😅 after that drink a bit of water. Go out to balcony to get fresh air for 2 min and straight go to take cold shower. Ready for the office. leave home at 7:30am. That’ll 😅

    I must be a night owl... I keep getting more ideas and productive at night. Seriously, it's a struggle. I get more energized at night. When I wake up in mornings, I feel lazy or unmotivated or feel like procrastinating, but at night I can do all the cleaning, do some writing, or workout exercises.

    Also, how is your whole-foods plant based diet coming along, I know you said you were going to give that a try.
    I've personally been vegan for over three years now, and not looking back. A video on that would be great if you find the time.

    I would suggest modifying it to include at least 1/2 hour walking outside with your dog. Good for both of you

    I love your routine and how you made this video! Mine looks almost the same: alarm rings at 05:30 am on a work day, followed by a glass of water and morning vitamins (Iron and Vit D), then 15-20 min of yoga, 10 min of meditation (calm or Insight Timer), warm :D shower, 20 min bike ride to work (doc in a hospital), after work: 45 to 60 min dog walk and in the evening I try to study / read different things or work on my other business (vegan nutritionist). Keep going!

    my morning routine is pretty simple really
    Wake up
    Brush my teeth
    Drink water
    Take a shower
    Get breakfast
    Brush my teeth
    Done

      careful with that much brushing, that's how u get gum disease.
      If your gums bleed it's too much tooth paste & brushing.

    I always just lay in bed for 30 minutes then don’t have time for anything lol. Once upon a time I meditated each morning for like 3 days straight.

    i wish i can stick to a morning routine like this, but i tend to get bored easily with the same activity. as an independent crafter who don't have working hours, i feel a routine is not my thing, i need a freedom to boost my creativity, i want to live slowly. i don't know if this is real or just some excuse to avoid a routine, lol.
    so far my morning routine is just brushing teeth, washing face, jogging (depends on the mood), yoga stretching (sometimes). btw, is that "yoga with Adriene" video? i used to watched her videos as a reference :D
    i wonder, how a creative person like you can stick to a routine like this. maybe i'm just too lazy, haha.. but i'll try my best. thanks for sharing this inspiring yet funny video :) nice video as always, i like the way you edit your videos.

      me lia you should look into the 4 Tendencies framework. I think u might be a rebel. Typically rebels like to have freedom of choice. I think CKSpace is probably an upholder like me. We prefer to do the same things over and over.
