When I was a kid, Sylvia Anderson was a magical name for me. The British equivalent of Walt Disney in my heart. Still is today at 57 yo. I do not want to undermine the contribution of Gerry Anderson of course but let's face it. He projected the impression of an accountant or he could have been the legitimate son of Lew Grade. Sylvia in her prime was just so gorgeous and smart. She was the star of the show.
May God bless this lady's memory. I could not, my being so young, fully appreciate Sylvia Anderson when Fireball XL5 was in its first run in the United States; but as sure as Venus graces the night sky I do now.
