I feel like kharn and moe should have gone up 10 instead of 20 because what? They wanted use to use the juggernaut boys to lead our infantry? The zerker glaive gives a flat 1 to damage and attacks not on the charge. Also I think the blessing nerf is more than just Angron fishing nerf it was also really nice when the dice rolled badly for the blessings.
I really like this video, incredibly hopeful and made me realise that even though we are nerfed it’s likely not as bad as many, even myself thought it out to be. Got me pumped to plan out lists and what to change around. Can’t wait to watch future videos on world eaters lists and new strategies!

Hell yeah. Ive been running my fun list as a berserker and jackal spam with kharn at the helm and moe's. So many attacks on the charge just makes me a happy boy
The meta changing is always to be expected. What matters the most is that the spirit of the faction remains true to its lore. We are lucky as World Eaters players to still have the most threatening melee in the game. I know because I also collect Death Guard and what GW has done to them this edition is ridiculous
Custodes are now kings of melee again.. we are second fiddle with out a doubt.. actually probably 3rd fiddle as Black Templar still kick our asses in melee

Really balanced response to the changes! I do miss our lack of devastating wounds, cp manipulation and low cost trading units. I know that's not really got anything to do with the balance dataslate, but that's what seems to hurt most.

As a World Eaters beginner (its my first Chaos faction, and funnily enough my first model that is a Character is Kharn the Betrayer), I'm still just gonna play with what i feel like it Nerfs here or there? Happen all the time, i mean im used to playing games where developers change values over time All in all, im just glad to be a World Eaters player "Blood For the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne" and everything else in between
To me world eaters look cool and thus I picked the angry ron and boyz as my 1st army. By the time I'm done with the pile of "potentials" I purchased during Christmas, the meta would've shifted twice! xD
I am a CSM player, I think forgefiends at 200pts is still very strong? My forgefiends regularly kill far more than 200 pts per battle, sometimes up to 700 pts worth of enemy.
Curious on what your thoughts were about the Daemon prince change? You mentioned it but didn’t talk about it. I say it was kinda surprising because not many list were using the Daemon prince anyway. And I thought his ability was a good way to keep infantry safe. Since WE doesn’t really have an answer for shooting.
I've usually run my demon Prince with 2 units of 8bound anyway. So this makes little difference to me. Unless I wanna do a full rush into the middle play with zerks I'd think about your enemies ranged weapons more then. Cuz no more 4up inval

I think the favored nerf really hurts Angron. He is pointed at 415 with the the old favored in mind. When I paid 415 for a pretty damn solid chance at resurrection, I had no problem. Without a point reduction I really think Angron is no longer an auto-include. My new list doesn't even include him. I dropped him for a Lord of Skulls (with some other finagling)
as both a we and tau player I think the taus got buffed, they need to rework a bit the list and they would still be a pain to play against, but unless you were playing 2 or 3 6 man bricks of crisis suits it won't be that big of a deal, the riptides got buffed so much that we will probably see them played in 2 or 3x, and hurt units like zerks and 8bounds far more than the cib, the commanders are worth to run solo to clean small units and do objective... the vespids now are great for that points cost... they just got a bit trickier to use, and they'll hurt us more

Yeah, some of other factions got worse, but we will see return of the custodes as a counterpick for us, and Necrons are borderline death sentence now, without MoE being capable of killing C'tans. To be fair, MoE should not be capable of doing such in first place, this is true. But Angron is not enough to deal with them, couple of unlucky rolls and Nightbringer lives after his charge and could kill him in return, and he will regenerate after, and we have less opportunities to res Angron now. And they bring not only Nightbringer. It feels unfair, according to GW own data Necrons had 56% WR, and they will dominate the meta now. Not to mention potential return of knights, which could be hard to play against. Overall it is not too bad, CSM swallowed way more nerfes, but in their case they still have all of the index to play with, but 3 of 7 unique WE datasheets were nerfed, and in return we got weird forgefiend buff. Why not the maulerfiend? Or hellbrute, or defiler or any melee vehicle? Are we shooting army now? LoS is amazing buff, dont get me wrong, but it is pain in the ass to navigate through some of the terrain and it is still 450 for one big guy, with oc8, which is not enough, 6 canoptek wraiths are outscoring him. IMO nerfes were expected and somewhat needed, but this nerfes are too radical, nerf MoE and glaive, it is fair, and this would be enough, but other things were unessesary, like, cmon, who the fuck plays DP? Jackal spammers? And why he is not cheaper now, when his selling point got weaker?
Yeah, it is a pretty classic overcorrection, which they themselves profess to want to avoid in favor of making smaller incremental changes, but apparently that only applies when nerfing Eldar.
Necrons will dominate this meta and without angron or super Moe I don't see us killing ctans easily and they will easily kill us in return, also I don't really see our bad matchups changing except for the worse. Custodes got better, CSM can still out trade us, orks still do what we do but better and death guard can just undermine our melee quite easily. Hell we might even struggle against blood angels now they are better in melee than us.

I was waiting for your thoughts on WE once the dataslate dropped :) My opinion- I think GW were a little-heavy handed on us; nerf eightbound, MoE (very merited, he was too strong), Kharn (look what they did to my boy), Daemon Prince AND favoured of Khorne? Too much I think. The other top factions have been toned down, true, but I think we will drop a notch, from maybe top five to top ten. Necrons will still reign supreme, until next dataslate, orks, and custodes will give us issues. I feel we will do still well against everyone else. The nerf to Favoured of Khorne was too much I think. We rely so much on Angron; I have had him killed on turn two so many times after killing something because I know I can bring him back quite reliably by turn 4. Now we need to be a little more cagey with who, Angron??!! Furthermore, the chance of rolling advance+charge on the eight dice is 67%. Every now and again you fail that- favoured was our guarantee. Now, everything games, on your go-turn, the dice will screw us and we can't get advanced+ charge. This just adding RnG to the army. The points reduction to Lord of Skulls was nice, will make Dean happy :p I play on GW terrain, the blighters are difficult to maneuver, especially 2 or 3 of them ^^ That would be unreal though on player-placed terrain.

We lost Angron respawn reliability, MOE vastly more expensive and now doesnt kill as well, 8 bound went up when they SHOULD HAVE GONE DOWN, kharn insane points cost increase, Deamon Prince lost a pip of his aura FOR NOTHING. Yet Eldar will still be at 55-57% as they nerfed anything that contended with them.. Glad i play Conquest atm. This game is lead by blind designers and its embarassing
I get that you're trying to be a positive spot here when the community is overall in a place of doom and gloom, but you're coming across as completely dismissing the now very real and hard to deal with issues we now have. Outside of lists running the currently hard to find LoS, resurrecting Angron will be an unreliable pipedream most of the time. It went from a fairly reliable once a game to once maybe every 2 at best. But worse than that is the loss of getting a do-over when rolling for Blessings. If you've used and and get a bad/useless roll, you're out of luck all times except the 1 reroll. I have more than once managed to roll the failure of getting a singular blessing with a triple and 5 different results in games. Without the reroll, that potentially dooms the game right there. Considering that we were a slightly upper middle of the pack army, but got nerfed harder than those who were and will continue to be the top performers, the nerfs feel more like someone's personal vendetta against the faction rather than thought out changes based on logic
I'm not going to argue that the nerfs were brutal, they hurt for sure. But I still feel the faction has a tonne of strength, it will just require a lot of skill to pilot now as you have to navigate and account for probability unlike pre dataslate where you could assume luck would be on your side

I would do 2 and 2, both types are good.

you're forgetting black templar.. Their judicar only 70 points and gives fights first
