As much as I wish Chris Harris success with Top Gear I'm sad all his videos are now over edited & trapped in a boring formula. Really would like to see him in more of these types of videos again.
Guilia Super , pure class Bought a 1.3 version in Cornwall in the 80's for a £150 3 50 pound cheques with a bankers card ' Made it back to London ' one of my best memories of a car ' A superb Alfa ' Brilliant stuff thanks
My dad and I went to a fellas house and bought a 64 Falcon Sprint for $15. Not a single panel on the car was the same shade of blue. We worked on her for a couple of days and I drove her for 5 years without a single problem. She was stolen from me and driven to death. The cops found her in the Santa Cruz mountains where she'd been thrashed to the point where the rims looked like flowers from having been driven on after the tires blew. So many good times in that car. I almost cried when she was hauled away for scrap.
I really enjoy these behind the scenes takes on great motorsport events. Also love how Chris has a Porsche undershirt and Maserati overalls on without having to worry about sponsors getting annoyed. Keep up the good work Chris.
From the comfort of my study looking out at deep snow with the constraints of tier 4 I am viewing this as if it was a fiction movie; it has given me a warm feeling, remembering being in a crowd, hearing the growl of the engines and smelling burnt fuel and tyre smoke, I can barely wait to be back there again.
The car is a 1964 Ford Falcon with the wedge style body rather than the rounded & smother body style of the 1963. Jay Leno has a very nice 1963 Falcon Sprint that he obtained, look up Jay's 1963 to compare the body style.
This is by far one of the best videos I've watched. Chris and his team have outdone themselves this time. Nostalgia at it's best. Back in the days here in Jamaica, I was used to seeing quite a lot of those amazing cars and even driving a few too. Chris if you ever visit Jamaica for a vacation, give me a holler.
It’s a shame you guys didn’t get to finish, but this video was fantastic. This is what I want to see. I’m sick of all the new supercars and hypercars and whatnot. Sure they’re cool, but this is what passion is about. Going out racing, smelling the wonderful race gas, hearing the roaring V8’s and flat 6’s… ah man. Yes.
I have to say that I love ALL of Chris' work, but I could have watched this for hours. Just fantastic and I (we) all hope to see alot more of these longer episodes. Thanks Chris & the team & Thanks Drive.
This was really a memorable episode. Thank you, Chris, for the depth and quality of your friends and real car racing. Here's hoping you guys finish well next year!
I have become addicted to your videos. I love your appreciation of classic and historic race cars. It's all about the experience. There is such an aura around these cars which the modern cars don't have. It's fantastic to watch and must be amazing to take part in!
You need to send Chris Harris to more races! Even back in his Autocar days, I loved the features of him taking part in motorsport events. This was one of the best videos I've ever seen
Wow, I think this is my favorite car vid from the entire year so far. So much awesomeness compressed in 19 minutes. Wish we could've seen more of those GT40s and 60s Astons and Ferraris. Couldn't help but think that car culture in Europe is so much deeper than America and Japan combined.
I've come to realise that Chris simply has the same luck as Alonso.. He is a fantastic driver, always let down by the cars! Top Gear has proven yet again Chris' bad luck continues in these events!!
Ford Falcon ......If you want to see some really mind blowing Ford Falcons come to the real home of the Ford Falcon .. That is Australia... We built some amazing Falcons from 1960 right through to the final literation in 2016 ...Check them out .. and they were a highly successful and sophisticated race car too ...CHECK THEM OUT .....
The '64 Sprint was the best looking Falcon of them all, in my opinion, and perhaps the most well represented Falcon around the world in motorsports of all kinds. It's always fun seeing them mix it up on the vintage circuits, very cool. But seeing the angry little Cortinas drifting around the corners in opposite lock? That too is cool!
These Chris Harris vids seem to take out a lot of the elite wank ego factor of motors and motor racing. He makes amazing cars and tracks from all over the place accessible to all and with humor chucked in for good measure, you can’t go wrong. If someone else is going to be living my dream, it might as well be Chris. Keep it up team, great vids.
Im gonna say it again, there should be more Chris Harris On Cars videos. Make this happen Drive. Great episode. Nothing cooler than racing an old school muscle car on the track.
Every time we have to retire at the track with a busted automobile, I have to remind myself that this is a part of racing. Great video Chris, I really enjoyed it.
What a great experience what a great company what a great race what a great cars and what a great video-only :( -for us...Thanks! I m 30 but especially those who are around 15 to 20 years old and you really like this video then we can hope for a better world....
13:55-14:25 most epic downshift noises and gorgeous motors. amazing. even though you consistently looked to have lost places in the giulia, it looked like so much fun. i absolutely love this film
Well done Chris! Love your enthusiasm, you want to show us the wonderful world of Spa 6 hours with beautiful classic cars! Keep it up, mate! Thank you! :)
Amazing work by Chris and the gang. Have watched the video 3 times in the last hour. One day hope to do a classic Spa race myself and this has given me the extra motivation to empty the cheque book
Great vid and 400 horses out of a 289 to boot. Well done, even if it came apart just a bit. I was very happy to see 3 or 4 Austin Healeys in the race. I sure miss mine. I had two 3000s at the same time, one for road and one with a roll bar and triple SUs. Good times....
hey Chris, sorry you guys didn't make it to the end the 6h is such a tough race! Thanks for plugging the U2TC (our car number 60 competes in the races) and it's such a good series to watch as well as compete in. love the fling it into a corner and let it slide attitude! better luck next year!
I really enjoyed this, Chris. I've noticed that, no matter where it is you head off to in the garage, you walk with a quick purpose. I imagine you do you do everything smartly, which your significant other might not enjoy. If you drink the same way, we should knock a few back, as I think you'd be a hilarious drunk!
Wow, you are one lucky guy Chris! Thanks for well made video. These old racing cars are much cooler than the new machines in my opinion. Good luck next year!
Hey Chris. Another brilliant film! I love cars from this period. You created a very real sense of atmosphere. I just want a drive now!!! Cheers. John Fernley
I love it that they upload races to youtube... I live about as far from Australia as possible, and I've never been there, but Touring Car Masters is some of the coolest racing I've ever seen! I've got a 69 Camaro, and I so badly want to mix it up with those guys! I'd get slaughtered, but it would be a spectacular death!
This is really great stuff guys! Editing is near perfect, music, feel, makes you watch the whole thing with a smile on your face. You just feel the whole thing as if there. Keep on the good stuff and this will be the next big thing (if not already ;) ! ! !
A Rare sight this side of the pond ' I remember as a kid , seeing them race in the UK touring cars of the period ' They looked so out of place ' but always had a good showing ' nostalgic thanks for the Vid '
This is a '64 Ford Falcon Futura 2-door hardtop. I know because I bought a cherry Wimbleton White 170 cube, 3 on the tree in 1966 for $1200. Ran it at 75-80 Dragway near D.C. Slow but fun.
Those Mini drivers are ferocious! Like a swarm of bees any direction you look.
Same results every venue: "Tiny pee-pee = big balls = exciting racing." They're tough, for sure.......
These race videos are so awesome. Birds eye peek to many who would otherwise never get to experience what it would be like. Thanks guys!!!
As much as I wish Chris Harris success with Top Gear I'm sad all his videos are now over edited & trapped in a boring formula. Really would like to see him in more of these types of videos again.
What on earth are you on about??? He makes by far the best car videos on TH-cam.
These videos follow the exact same formula that his "Chris Harris on Cars" yt channel did, and I personally think they are fantastic.
True
@@samvimes1083 he is talking about the other videos
Ditto, I agree I love Chris in the raw format.....

that team meeting in the land rover had me cracking up.
Porsche shirt, Maserati Jacket, Ford Falcon...
All costing the same amount.
gbshaw107 Would be good to compare each...
Ford falcon all day lol

You are correct it is a 64 or maybe a 65 but NOT a 63 which had more rounded fenders. Also disc brakes were not homologated for 63.
Correct, ts a 65, 60 thru 63 were rounded and no disc brakes in 64
@@JamesOneParker Homologated in '64 with Girling or Kelsey Hayed discs
MrHillbilly49 64 Falcon has the outline chrome trim on the side. 65 is more like a stripe.

I just love these old car racing.
The sound, the feel, the weight, the shapes. Beautiful :)

Maindrian Pace
No one who knows what they're talking about. 👍
these historic videos are by far my favorite. the sounds are so much more raw.
Chris you've done it again, you've glued me to my seat and made me afraid to blink. Brilliant work, keep them coming!!!
You need to send Chris Harris to more races! Even back in his Autocar days, I loved the features of him taking part in motorsport events. This was one of the best videos I've ever seen
Damn, I'll wait for this again next year. Thanks Chris, everyone, for one of the best pieces of motor journalism of the year.
Its a 64 Dude ,....when they changed from the rounded body lines to more of a square body design .
Did I hear Chris call it a '63 falcon? Surely not? Because that's a 64 if I've ever seen one....
I Concur! DEF a '64.
Video of the Year from Chris until now, thanks so much for sharing this with us, especially allowing us to listen to all those brutal engines! Epic!
OUTSTANDING!!!! Chis, this is your best one yet. Give us more. Thank you!

This was possibly my most favorite episode yet. I love the old cars!

loving these inside looks at real racing. can't wait till im rich and can afford this kind of hobby.
Love seeing those beautiful cars sliding about!
For the first time in about 5 years, I couldn't give a damn if they never filmed another top gear..This is magnificent! Hope he has a long career
You were asking too much from the car Chris .... What a a heroic act from all of you

it's actually just fine. you probably have your bass settings too high or subwoofer set too high on either the crossover point or the volume level.
Hey Chris. Another brilliant film! I love cars from this period. You created a very real sense of atmosphere. I just want a drive now!!! Cheers. John Fernley
YES. So good to see Minis drive like that.
As always super high quality presenting, driving and subject matter!
I don't know how you do it, but your videos keep getting better. One of the few channels from which I genuinely can't wait to see updates. Love it!
I love watching these vids so much that it's hard to explain
Looks like an incredible experience. All the cars looked great and sounded even better. Shame you guys couldn't finish again. Keep the videos coming!
What an awesome video. Racing at its purest. Beautiful! More of this please
I really hope you guys get more videos out like this one!
Best clip on drive I've ever seen!
Great one. Reminds me of my racing in the 70's.
Another winner. Two thumbs way up. This was a dream to watch - thanks @harrismonkey

Wonderful! Looking forward to next years, maybe 3rd time round :)
Also some great camera work, lovely focus pulls and great compositions.
When I die, I want 'heaven' to be like this... Look. at all. those iconic. race cars.
As per usual a fantastic CH video. Almost looks like too much fun.
Excellent video Chris! Great to see some classic cars, thankyou and keep up good work.

Chris Harris: The most awesome man....in the world.
this is very cool man. love to see those old school cars
So much steering input needed. Incredible stuff.
Fantastic video. Many thanks for filming a race like this! Hope you guys can finish next year's race.
the level of coolness here is off the charts
those damn mini drivers... crazy as hell.
What can I say that wasn't already said in the comments below! Great video, great work to the chris Harris crew! You guys do an amazing job!
The in-car shots in the Alfa were brilliant, more please!
Great video Chris, how can you not love Motorsport like this?
I am becoming a huge Chris Harris FAN! he is creeping up on my level of TOP GEAR love! :)
Keep up the great Vids Chris.
Oh and Drive :)
Great stuff! Love the classics sliding around!
also, would be super cool to see you back on joe rogans podcast, was good to see a long discussion on anything and everything between you and him.
That Falcon is a beast, love it.
Those GT 40's were gorgeous. I want one.
I've been here since day one and have to say that this is the best drive video of the lot!And i'm a leo parente fan!lol
Great job Drive,keep it up!!
There are causes more worthy than you Christopher! Priceless.

Sensational. Best Drive video yet (and that is saying something).
The long slide around the fast right sweeper @ 10:02 is fantastic. Multiple angles, so good. Pay attention drifters, quit using that hand brake.
That chat in the Land Cruiser was hugely entertaining to me.
