  • I present to you an anthology of ghostly tales from Canada, a part of the world I’ve been meaning to cover for some time now. Considering the sheer expanse of its provinces and territories, and in order the even begin to do them justice, this will be the first of a three-part series.
    Segments:
    00:00 Introduction
    00:54 The Grey Man
05:12 The Main Station Island Apparition
    08:24 The Messenger
    10:58 Sandy
15:01 The Ghost of Doris Gravlin
    20:21 Credits and sources

This video is one of five taken from my now defunct second channel, Phantom Chronicles. As some of you will know, I started my second channel last year. The intention was to seperate my true crime/dark histories content from my paranormal content. Unfortunately Phantom Chronicles was not the success I had hoped it would be, so I've decided to revert back to one channel. I've also been distracted lately, and reminded that there's more to life than TH-cam; hence my recent inactivity overall. I will be back, however.

Thank you for covering cdn ghost stories, we're usually forgotten in this department.
I have to admit, I was very intrigued which ones you would cover and wasn't disappointed. You covered ghost stories that I've never heard which made them really fun to hear. :)

Thanks for the explanation: I was stunned, however pleasantly, to find that your channel had come back after a long absence with not just one, or even two, but THREE videos on what's Thanksgiving Day here in the States!
I'm sorry to hear the bad news, and that I wasn't much help as a viewer. But if you really do need a break from YT for a while, you can always spread out the transfer of these "Phantom Chronicles" vids to CW, as it might satiate our desire for content while you take some time for yourself.

Nice that your doing Canadian ghost stories. I live in Nova Scotia Canada. When I lived in New Brunswick and went to boy scouts, there was a popular fireside ghost story the leader would tell called "the Dungarvon Whooper". I just looked up the story and it varey's a bit from what the leader told. He always said Ryan had big ruby ring on his finger and the boss had cut it off. When the ghost appeared it would say "Give me back my Ring!" I think that was an embellishment designed to make us scared! Still a great story though!

Dude canada has hella paranormal stuff. You may wanna check out some old shows from the 90s I think called Creepy Canada, Tales from the Mist and Northern Mysteries... theres some awesome stuff about ghosts and creepy legends and what not in Canada but they're so old u could do an updated version of some of them maybe add to em. They really are good shows just old as hell

      @@jolovesblackcats OK here it goes
I used to work in a bar as a doorman and was dating a girl who’s a waitress at another bar so I walked to pick her up and we walked to her townhome unit behind the Halifax infirmary. It was on Clyde Street I cannot remember the address. As we walked up the stairs there was a room on the landing that was cold all year around and they used to put their bicycles and their garbage in there. One of the girls boyfriends had a dog and the dog did not like passing that room and sometimes would urinate because of nerves they said.
It’s probably 2:30 AM or so and I said it’s getting late I have to keep going home, and I made some silly comment like I don’t want to bother the ghost there cause she would tell me stories and experiences from that home. The girls started to get giddy and said don’t provoke it and I made more comments to provoke it and they were like don’t because when you leave we will have to deal with it. So I’m standing with my back facing their kitchen and I’m like oooh I’m so scared blah blah blah and behind me kitchen cabinets on the both sides started opening and closing slamming shut. I spun around and saw the cupboards closing and went over and open the cupboards to see if anything was there and there was nothing there like strings etc. they of course are now freaking out.
The second girlfriend that resided there was dating a hockey player I knew from the bars and a year later I asked him if what they were saying was true since they were broken up he had no reason to lie I thought. He said everything they said is absolutely true and told me stories about watching movies and ornaments would fly off the TV and smash against the wall things of that nature, Plus other things
I swear everything I said is 100% true I have no reason to lie to you or anyone. That’s the first time I have told that story in a long time

I just love your stories. They're so well researched and always interesting. I'd go as far as to say yours is probably my favorite channel on TH-cam. Your competition just repeat the same tired old material again and again. Yours stories are always fresh and new. Out of all of all the content you've covered (on both of your channels) I have yet to recall a single story I've heard elsewhere. Maybe some bits and bobs relating to that nineteenth century baby killer who's name escapes me, but I knew maybe 10% of the details beforehand. I often find myself re-watching your content and I wish you could release new material more often, but I understand a lot of work must go into creating these. As long as your making videos, I'll be tuning in.

My guess on the lads on Lake Huron, the Hudson's Bay Company likely had many shelters across the Dominion. The American troops in the War of 1812 could have crashed in a landing party to possibly march toward York (now Toronto). I haven't properly researched the path of the American troops, they could have crashed up in a mad dash for shore in a Huron November tempest.

Very well done - the images suit the stories and I appreciate the low-key style of telling these stories, which are wholly new to me. As a thought, 'Sandy's experience of being held down by a weight or body (similar to something which happened to me as a teenager) is also a recognised psychological phenomena with a specific name, which juggins here has forgotten. That, together with the admission to being high on drugs and the details of the hanging, makes me think that story is one to be very careful about. But then, is it wise to believe what a ouija board 'spirit' says anyway?

Don't read this if you don't want to hear someone bit*h/complain/being a Karen.
I like your videos but you and some other channels are going overboard with the amount of ads. I got 6-7 double ads so thats 12-14 ads many of which are un-skippable. Not only that but now you get hit with ads when you skip back on the video when you missed something and want to go back a few minutes, that has to be something relatively new.
TH-cam is slowly getting as bad as cable companies, and every update is getting them closer.
Sorry, I just had to rant and get that out.
Oh and don't even get me started with those horrible/super annoying tiktok ads on youtube. I deleted tiktok just because of those ads.

    • @CuriousWorldProductions
      @CuriousWorldProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +6

I can tell you that before making this video live I put three ad breaks in place across the entire video. So even if they were double ads, you'd have 6 at the most across the 20 minute period. Either you're mistaken or TH-cam are taking us all for fools.
