Have been in deep sorrow, my youngest son died March1, 2022.
Just barely recovering, slow process still cry while sleeping.
Will be little bit blue trying to pick up my life.
Good friends(few) relatives seeing me through.
Still what ate the current topics? Gossip, sports, TV have lost my interest.
Too wrapped up in reality and do not have the luxury of fantasy. .
Most of the joy is gone, the depression is fading.😢
Anyone lose a close one lately? Part of Life I know but still hits hard. They have my sympathy.
I guess elections coming up from what I see. Have no interest there either.
Now we can discuss the paranormal! Even before have experienced ghosts (1980) ,Demons, OBE'S, Astral travel, over the years but have never shared. Few believe and most would ridicule. At my age now does not matter.
Everyone knows of the many ghost in the Menger Hotel and others down town.
True most of that is drama and hoaky but some are true.
Look into an old. TV program called "One Step Beyond" those are verified.
      So what's on ur mind?
      Shadoworld.

My condolences, Roland. That's awful. I lost two family members in the last month. We laid one of them to rest just yesterday. Sad times indeed, but I couldn't imagine losing a child. I hope you find solace.

Stannard Rock lighthouse is in Lake Superior. It’s a very common mistake that people believe it’s called Standard Rock lighthouse. It’s an extremely spooky place and is every bit as dangerous as the big ocean water during the autumn storms.

  • @Thatguy-of5re

I am a Great Lakes lighthouse buff who owns several books on the subject and I actually do also have a copy of Barbara Smith's Ghost Stories of the Sea. I can confirm that Stannard Rock Lighthouse is an offshore Michigan light and the photo used in the book is wrong. Frederick Stonehouse's book Haunted Lakes II also includes a version of this story, albeit a much briefer and less detailed version, and he makes it clear that this event took place at Michigan's Stannard Rock Light. The history surrounding the 1961 explosion at that light is of course well documented. Minnesota has also never had a far offshore "crib" lighthouse that can only be reached by boat, like is present at Stannard Rock.
I suspect Smith may have confused Stannard Rock with Split Rock Lighthouse, a similarly named light that is in Minnesota near Duluth and has its own interesting ghost stories attached to it. It's still a little strange though that she would use a photo of yet a third lighthouse there, (Minnesota Point) especially as Split Rock Lighthouse, with its short but beautiful tower at the edge of a massive cliff, is one of the most iconic lighthouses on the Great Lakes.
This story, set in the 1990s, also could not possibly have taken place at Split Rock as that light was deactivated in 1969 and owned by the Minnesota Historical Society since 1976. There would be no reason for the Coast Guard to get involved with a restoration after those dates. It's also hardly isolated. According to the website Lighthouse Friends, Split Rock Lighthouse receives 116,000 paying visitors every year, making it the most popular historic site in the state of Minnesota. There has never been a decent attempt to restore the Minnesota Point Light, which was deactivated in 1913 and has been on Lighthouse Digest's Doomsday List since the list was first published in 1993.

I love your channel as you come out with stories that i have never even heard before and they are great as for myself i have seen ghosts . So i know you get skeptics out there but once you seen one you never forget what you have seen also great video . If you watch weird world on You Tube i have got 2 stories on there and they are both the second story and you can use them if you want as i do not mind . The first one is 3 true ghost stories which was aired in April when i was on holiday as i wanted to do a ghost hunt at the house but the owner worked away . The second was 3 true ghost work stories when i worked down the pit at Markham Main in Armthorpe just outside Doncaster . Will also send you a e mail later of another one which is a true story but i never seen but i use to live there from 1960 to 71 when i was born .

I'm intrigued by the oil rig tale; it would be unusual for small private yachts in the 1920's to have radios. Indeed, a good many merchant ships still didn't either - it tended to be the big, luxury liners. That makes the 'Mayday' call all the more mysterious if, indeed, it was part of a haunting. Seems odd, for a 1920's couple to haunt a latter day rig as well. All these stories are new to me, anyway, so thank you very much. I liked this programme.

I wish there were a way to set certain channels to always be recommended with a notification... ( 🔔!!!!! ) hmm 🤔 however would they do that?
I have rang the bell for all notifications and when videos were missed I actually undid every setting and reset them and STILL Not received notifications. I’m SO glad this FINALLY came up on my recommendation feed - FOUR DAYS after. Last time, I had to check this channel, specifically and Lo and behold, found a recent one I wasn’t notified of or recommended.
I check my feed and notifications every single day and if I miss it (bc I’m chronically ill and some days I cannot do it) I go all the way back in recent notifications and my son fills me in about channel drops he knows I’m most interested in.
I understand missed notifications from human error or just not seeing the whole feed when it’s completely full of channels you’ve set to notifications but, this is not the case and it’s kind of ridiculous.
Just thought you should know, although I know it’s not your doing and you’d prefer all your subscribers to receive notifications. Especially since you rarely upload and when you do we look forward to it so much. I’d definitely choose notifications from your channel even if it meant I had to limit others. It’s crème de la crème!
YT should simply tell us if we can only receive a limited number of notifications, or if that limits the amount we can see each day. YT should also allow us less limited scrolling and REFRESH when we reach the end of our feed.
Thank you for all the work you invest! I’m very pleased and satisfied with the video documentary.
