    Extremely impressive thoughts on pointing a gun at people. I like the amount of thought he has put into it.

    "I'm giving my kids the same courtesy as I give criminals"
    Out of context this is pretty funny lol.
    That being said. As always, great stuff.

    Great information and analysis! Good illustrations with appropriate context. ... And I'm sure your kids "appreciate" receiving the same courtesy you give criminals! Ha!

    Love it. Hell of an instructor. Quick question for you, though. What's your feelings on BUIS? I notice you're not running any. Is it mostly a matter of absolutely trusting your RDS?

    Thank you for the great analysis. Would you change anything for the home defense context? You're current context is a proactive action to arrest a dangerous subject. How would it change if you were reacting to a home invasion?

    • @billblowers9052
      @billblowers9052 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Peter Jarvis way more defensive, barricade up and let bad guy clear to me. Call 911 and let cops do the clearing. Little kids involved, you gotta clear to those kids.

    Bill, do you ever use the high ready/light umbrella when there is dark color carpeting?
    It seems that bouncing the light off the ceiling does a better job at illuminating a whole room.
    please school me

      NICKydex01 Consider what we are searching for - adult sized three dimensional objects that are potential threats.

    hey Bill any specific reason you dropped the protac 2 and went to the m600? did she fail?

    • @tap-racktactical5801
      @tap-racktactical5801 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The ProTac does not accept dual lead pressure switches. I'm using a jumper cable from light to MAWL and I activate the white light with MAWL. The Protac is still working and working very well on a different carbine.

    That muzzle etiquette piece at the beginning of this video is great. Unfortunately from all the videos of SWAT raids from other teams around the country I've never seen others practice it in action. In fact I've watched ALOT and they all seem to deliberately do the exact opposite regardless of age or sex of the by-stander. Maybe we need to clone Bill and send him to more departments.

    Has Bill ever trained at CSAT? his description and methodology on carry positions and discrimination are very similar to Paul Howes.

    • @PrimaryAndSecondary
      @PrimaryAndSecondary  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      CromConsultants There is a lot of commonality with functional and vetted real world techniques/applications.

    • @CromConsultants
      @CromConsultants 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Primary & Secondary definitely, it was refreshing to hear someone talking about target discrimination in such a way and not just pointing your muzzle where ever. Great vid.

    • @PrimaryAndSecondary
      @PrimaryAndSecondary  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      CromConsultants there can be serious consequences with pointing everywhere.

    • @CromConsultants
      @CromConsultants 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Primary & Secondary yeah, I've used the same wording as the guy in the vid before when talking to guys. Like why in the he'll would you walk around pointing your gun at kids heads or wherever the f, or how would you feel having some hyped up dude searching for a murderer pointing a gun at your head. Then on top of that, they will more then likely have to drop the muzzle to id the threat then bring it back up to shoot, so the argument that it's faster goes out the window once discrimination is added to the process.

    would you see it being a good idea to take rifle off safe when you're aiming down sights? assuming you're not specifically aiming until you've made the decision that person needs a bullet of course.
