+Aan N Fuck, I wanted to do the same with mi daughter, but I thought it was a little weird when she grows up. Does it? Because my natal language is Spanish.
awesome. this is my favorite pumpkins song and when i found out i was going to have a child i said if it's a girl it will be starla period. Turned out to be a boy though.
@@GIUSAF That's interesting! I knew a Darla growing up, and I always liked that name too, but I felt it was a little off since I was always so in love with this song :D
This song makes me cry Billy is at his best and I think he doesn't even think he realizes how amazing he sounds his voice his guitar everything synced in perfection
4:45 I love how high Billy went in his pitch there, because the rest of the singing in this song is very apathetic and very similar in sound, and I feel he was afraid(more or less) to range his voice from highs to lows; as to where his singing voice in the 90s was very ranged in pitch and very passionate.. Perhaps his older age is to blame for the lack of emotion in his modern singing.. But my god, he was always able to play the guitar so fuckin' well. Can't wait to get to Madame Zuzus!
Even old fat Billy is still very much Billy. I've caught quite a few of these new Pumpkins shows and he still sounds great on both guitar and vox. I also have to give Jeff Schroeder mad props too. In my opinion, he's better than James.
That was good :) Those who say Pumpkins are not the same without james and darcy are wrong :) They had no big influence on things.. Pumpkins is all Billys work. Old Pumpkins better? Yes! But that is because then Billy wrote good songs :) Today Pumpkins is making Teardrop.. 5 songs are released and most of them are ok.. But ok dont come close to Billys brilliance from the past.. Respect to Billy, but for me he was finished after Adore..
The name of this dvd was apt. It was a rocking gig but one could sense the shift. Maybe Jimmy had left by the time this came out...but I wasn't surprised to hear he'd jumped ship. It almost felt like Billy was at odds with the Pumpkins legacy here. Even in all the extras stuff you could see Jimmy was being marginalised and looking almost bored. Even now with the new stuff the band looks bereft of personality and that's one thing they never lacked- as beautifully twisted as it was at times.

This is so heavy. Gives me crazy goosebumps. That change at 5:30 almost brings tears to my eyes.
one of the best solos ever...
lols its not tornado of souls
@@Sugar_K thank god it’s not.
we named our daughter starla
+Aan N Fuck, I wanted to do the same with mi daughter, but I thought it was a little weird when she grows up. Does it? Because my natal language is Spanish.
+F. Cruz That's my name and I'm in my 30s. It's not weird at all. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Love the name Starla. Did you know Billy misheard the woman and her name is actually Darla? True story.
@@GIUSAF That's interesting! I knew a Darla growing up, and I always liked that name too, but I felt it was a little off since I was always so in love with this song :D
This era had one of their best live tones imo
Yes, absolutely...
@@mr.anderson6040 that Herbert was working overtime

It is not because i like it, it's because i'm loving it!
My favorite song:
And no one else fails like me
In my eyes I burn alive... Flyyyyy, like a bird
No more words just you and I
High... in the sky...
Just eargasm.
My fave song on this whole concert. Well one of them

That guitarist is sick
beyond words starla is a great song
Great version but nothing will top their version Live at the Metro
Love Billy’s expression at 6:01. He’s clearly enjoying himself.
nah real fans of the 90s music scene knew how amazing of a guitarist corgan was/is
Certified effing JAM.
This is gorgeous. Only thing I hate about this is the multi-camera angle switching crap. I just wanna watch Jimmy the whole time! lol
I named one of my kids after this song....freakin' awesome! Imagine if it actually went the original 11 minutes....

Trying to follow Jimmy around all of this editing is like running a marathon.
those hi-hat accents
Sweet MOOG sticker on Billy's Strat!
This is good... haha super!!!
@Foozer1 Billy wrote just about every single song by himself. He produced most of them as well.

4:50.......thanks Billy!
Happy
holy bejesus
Amazing performance, but still feel the 1992 show in Chicago beats it.
the last Moicano.
I would do unspeakable, unforgivable things to the bass player
no fortuitous police siren?
+B Adams, It fits so well in the studio version that I was surprised learning it was not an actual part of the song.
I've been listening the Pisces Iscariot for more almost 20 years now, still have not heard the police siren. Where is it ?
+Guigui Coq It's in the background of the "serve yourself..." part. He recorded the vocals in his apartment.
@2blackman1
I laughed so friggin hard at that comment. Can't say I disagree.
@hatetechstuff He is the tallest front man in band history
A 2 meñlor canción dos Smashing
at 2:00 he is a giant on stage
@aderossi Definately! But who wrote the songs?
#ZERO
When you can't decide whats on your mind.....its clear.......ZERO

Billy should just stop singing and play instrumentals instead. Too much croaking and dropped consonants.
boring beggining. awesome end. bass player more beautiful than ever.
Fuck yeah
