I'm late to the the party, but I just want to drop by and say how much I love your arrangement! It makes it sound like Sootopolis is a beach city rather than one in the center of an old volcano.
i've found myself coming back to this video quite a few times, you're created a beautiful arrangement of the song. thank you for sharing it with us, this is some wonderful stuff. :D
imagine chilling in your city listening to this, then all of a sudden two ancient creatures start battling it out until a big green dragon comes down from the sky to stop them
The trill at the beginning which is repeated a few times throughout reminds me so strongly of the Eterna Forest theme. I've never noticed that similarity between two unrelated songs from two completely different games, but something about the way you played it evoked the haunting, beautiful loneliness of that piece (in a good way haha). But Sootopolis always did seem so bleak and lonely, with it's bleached rocks and isolated location, so perhaps the connection is deeper than it seems... Anyway, this is fantastic. I had a rough day today and this sent me down a rabbit-hole of bittersweet nostalgia that I really needed. Thank you.
This is so good! I'm so happy youtube recommended me this video. Did you happen to make a transcribed version of this song? I'd love to play it if possible!
Love this! Keep doing what you do, you're really talented BTW - Do you have sheet music for this or any other of your arrangements? I'd buy them in a heartbeat.
2:28 onwards make this one of the best Sootopolis arrangements on this site, good job
