The thing about the packet drop is that if even if Wirtual’s internet is bad, the game should still be programmed to properly handle situations like this. It’s not like that’s impossible to do.
These are always fun to watch when you're actively rooting and working with other good players vs trying to beat them in COTD... COTD is fun, but the "teamwork" is also a great change of pace.
It's a breath of fresh air from other pvp games that are nothing but inherently toxic

It's so nice to hear a czech person without a czech accent.
It's so silly that Nadeo has a beautiful, iconic, deterministic driving simulation engine... and the game modes that they make with it rely on your internet connection reliability to determine who wins. 🤦
I understand where you are coming from but isn’t it the same for every online game and game developer can’t do much about it(please enlighten me if I am wrong I haven’t done any research into this topic)
You mentioned the idea of a plugin that would make it possible to compare the current time of each player against their PB. I feel like this could be visual match the existing plugins/game style If this appeared as a differently colored number next to the time behind current leader, +/- the current split against each player's PB. That way the white number still represents difference between current leader, but you can look to the other color to see where they stand against their best time, or how reliable they're being. If you care to get a plugin designed, try that for a UI friendly option.
I like this idea. You could take it even further to show other statistics as well I'm sure. Make this thing an all in one super plugin!

Hey Wirt, interesting idea perhaps: chess in trackmania, the pieces are players and their cars and when a move is made the ppl gotta push eachother out sumo-style
as a note, if you want to be able to cut out music audio without losing game audio and reducing speech quality, just record locally as well, and record in separate audio tracks. One for game, one for music, one for alerts, one for mic. Then you can balance all 4 in post as you see fit
Some streamers don’t want to do that because it costs a lot of space and it’s more of a hassle for them

although, the space thing isn't a huge issue anymore. a 2TB HDD (large enough to store 720-800 hours of twitch-quality video) is only around $50
You could also just *only* record the audio locally (about 12,000-37,000 hours of audio would fit into a 2TB HDD depending on the audio quality), then if a part got cut out for copyright, just pull up the audio for that stream, remove the song, then stick it back in
Given that it doesn't happen very often, I imagine it wouldn't be a huge issue to align the audio once in a while when a section in a video gets struck by copyright. It would also just allow more editorial freedom given that you could mix the audio tracks in post however you want to. I completely understand not wanting to do it, but it would be quite nice for viewers
@@adicsbtw Yeah I agree, having these audio sections cut out because of copyrighted music is not good for the video quality. It would be a better viewing experience if everything was cohesive, but i’ve heard some streamers say they don’t want to local record for one reason or another, because it’s too much hassle for them I guess
@@grimreefer213 The biggest hassle I could see is if you have an editor to get the footage to. There's plenty of solutions for that though. You could share individual files with file sharing platforms, or the entire folder with tools like syncthing
Just a question from a non twitch person. What happened to Maji? Do they still live all together? She used to appear in a lot of vids but has been a while since she is gone. I don't like her vids but it was not bad as a guest.
I think she just moved out if she was ever there in the first place. Wirtual was playing battleships with her a week or two ago on stream.
From what i've seen they were together for like 2 years (as in relationship) but decided to break up after maji wanted her own place. Theres a clip or two even of Wirt saying so.
Not sure if it's 100% serious, but he did mention how they just wanna move on and focus on their own career and don't want to have that topic being brought up much.
That said, i dont watch the streams very often and i'm not entirely sure on the whole situation
As another commenter has said, they used to be in a relationship and it didn't work out months ago so they haven't really done any content together since then. They occasionally do shorter streams together but it's pretty infrequent and not usually TM related so it doesn't fit the channel that great.

Another good plug in would be something that tracks your points earned so you know if you have a shot at MVP. The only thing you see is how many points the person with MVP has.
