- Have you ever wondered what the difference between a War Poet and Elite is? Maybe you aren’t sure how on earth a Foundation pistol can have such a low price and still have the same frame? Trevor walks us through the differences between our different pistol options.

I got the MR920 Elite threaded barrel and added the Shadow Systems compensator, holosun and TL1-HL.
Love my MR920 foundation series! Has given me 0 issues and works flawlessly.
Those look GREAT! Wanting that Foundation CR 🔥
Cr920p is my EDC and I love it
Just popped off 250rds of Monarch 115gr through my new MR920 foundation, performed flawlessly. Can’t say enough about how nice even the foundation series are. Will be adding elites and wp’s in the future for sure!
Can ya'll make better trigger shoe with the trigger safety that goes completely flat into the trigger when pulled? I had to put in an aftermarket trigger because the stock trigger safety digs into my finger.
Are the foundation series getting the varrel/comp?
Can you get the elite, or war poet series without a threaded barrel?
I’m waiting to buy a new Shadow system for a G48 CR920P or a War Poet XR920P
I EDC my MR920 Elite w a Holosun EPS MRS and TLR7A in a safariland holster with the locking system and absolutely LOVE it! Well over 2K rds zero issues!
Do you keep well lube and (or) have you run it dry?
Can you still buy a Shadow Systems CR920 without an optic cut? Prefer no optics for pocket carry in a Alabama Kydex pocket holster.
Can't wait for the Shadow Systems AR15
Don't the Foundation series pistols have carbon steel barrels and slides rather than the stainless alloys on the War Poet, Elite, & Combat? I believe the alloy on the internals on the frame are also a different alloy, or am I incorrect regarding that?
I think it’s a carbon steel guide rod on the Foundation. I have DR920 Foundation
It’s just the guide rod that is carbon steel. Everything else is stainless
@@insanetripod1989 Not according the rep at Shadow Systems that I spoke to.
give me one of every single model and configuration you make and I can die happy
I would actually pay more to NOT have an ingress hole in my slide...so it's nice that the Foundation is cheapest (and I'd replace the trigger no matter what, so the polymer trigger is just a placeholder like with Glock OEM sights). So really the only thing the Foundation model is gonna get that the others wouldn't is a front sight.
You say in the video that the war poet trigger is aluminum, but on sportsmansguide it's listed as polymer
Will you ever make a cr920 or cr920p with a marginally longer grip?
I second this, a cr920x would be awesome.
When will the xr920p be available?
They have started shipping, so very soon!!
@ShadowSystemsCorp I don't expect you're allowed to talk about it quite yet, but can we expect the xr920p and mr920p to have a war poet edition? I have a mr920 WP edition in my cart right now but the mrp would be much more comfortable to carry.
Is the combat model dead? It wasn't mentioned here and I don't see it on the site anymore.
The Combat models are discontinued, but Shadow Systems will obviously still service them.😎✌️
We have discontinued the Combat line due to the demand for the lower priced and similar featured Foundation Series. If you loved the Combat, you’ll really love the Foundation!
@@ShadowSystemsCorp I already have a MR920 combat. If I were to get another Shadow Systems, it would probably be an elite model.
Will there be a acro cut mr920p? @ShadowSystemCorp
Washington won’t let me order the cr920p… what’s going on? It’s not a threaded barrel so why is it restricted ?
Cuz Inslee and his politician supporters are idiots. I don't know either.
Was at a gunstore and there is still some confusion about the newer laws. Gun store talking about carbines tho.
Is there a difference in the trigger between the war poet and the elite?
Just cosmetically with the red trigger shoe. Functionally it is the same trigger.
Thanks so much for the response! Follow up question, is the War Poet MR920 offered without the threaded barrel?@@ShadowSystemsCorp
That’s what people don’t understand. Machining drives up cost immensely because it’s acquainted with an increase in manufacturing time.
So, not really telling us the difference between Elite and War Poet, besides the barrel fluting and slide styling. Or, is that pretty much it? After that, I heard about the same, shoots about the same, the same, pretty much the same, etc. Is that it? fluting and a bit of stylistic differences?
Did you guys stop doing the combat series?
Yes, they stopped making the Combat series of their pistols last year; I was disappointed since the Combat series features were exactly what I wanted.
@@OldTexasRonin same. A lgs near me still has at least one in stock that I’m hoping will still be there in a few weeks.
“War poet” such a gimmicky marketing scheme… foundation or Elite is where is at!
Hey, just as I thought the pistols should be on their left side, you flipped them. DO DO DO DO.
Every Shadow Systems gun comes complete with the spongy ass trigger. Love all three of mine but the triggers hold them back.
Which one doesn't require a 'break in'period. 😂
The one that says Glock on the slide.
gimmicky glocks
Yes with different angle, sights, red dot cut, higher stippling, undercuts, etc.
@@dmarr4941 for double the price of a glock you can do better on your own to modify it how you want. bottom line is the gun shoots no better than a standard glock. different angle? doesn't mean better. sights $100, red dot cut - MOS glock, stipping and undercut can be done on your own for little money. you're buying hype here.
@@wrxzboosthave fun with your voided warranty and mismatched parts that introduce reliability issues. GTFO 😂
@@insanetripod1989 yes - valid point. my undercut, sights, red dot and stippling job will render my glock absolutely useless. meanwhile, reddit will still be full of users complaining their gucci shadow system glocks malfunction.
@@wrxzboost The foundation series is not double the price at all. You haven't even looked into it. You commented for the sake of making a comment. I own 2 MR920s. I prefer getting things that I don't have to tweak. I'm blessed to be able to afford that but again, the foundation series has everything that I like minus tritium sights and is not double the Glock. So what was your point? Bass Pro has the foundation MR920 for $679.00 with angle I like, full stipple job, optic cut, cowitness sights. The Glock MOS is nearly that price at $649.00. That's only $30 dollars to get closer to what I want, what fits my hands and shooting more comfortably, and saves me time not messing with it or sending it away.
