@@JunkyardMook Happy to help you. P.S. we have a young white cat going in the neighborhood, but trying to catch that feller. That creature needs a better life, than in the woods. Greetings from Finland, and have a great weekend!
I actually really like that green and the stripes. Was hoping for a wash and maybe some sort of sealer/patina application. Maybe next time, this truck deserves it. Great video, can’t wait to see more of the Nova !
51:50 Kevin missed a perfect opportunity to say "She's a poet and doesn't even know it" as a response. Such a great feeling to get a problemchild of a vehicle back going again. Boogertruck lives again. Can't wait to see the nova engine get put together next!
The two of you working together is the best. Everything's perfect. Nobody move. PS- Dad talking now- Secure your load! That skid full of motor sailing forward if you panic stopped would have been bad.
Yayee! Mook is back. Always good to see you and Kevin turn'in wrenches and making us laugh while teaching us your excellent mechanical tips and tricks. Thank you guys.
Neat trick to keep the tail shaft from leaking on your head. Put a rubber glove over the end and wrap electrical tape around the edge. Great to see you two back together on camera btw!!
I didn't know Mook had a channel till the other day. Id like to credit you and Junkyard Digs (Kevin) for reigniting the passion for me personally to work on trucks again. Thanks!
I think of you both as part entertainment and part educational and part cool projects. First, thanks for spending all the time we don’t see doing this for us, second thanks for occasionally reviewing the basics for us people’s that don’t do it everyday (we need reminding that it sometimes stinks), and lastly, thanks for the booger shots to remind us that this is supposed to be fun. Both of your channels get my full attention. ❤❤❤❤❤
Recently picked me up a '95 F-150 with the 5.0, looking forward to fixing her up and making a mild hot rot truck out of her, keep up the great work Mook (and you too Kevin) !
My wife and I are so happy for your success! You have such great chemistry together... You are a power couple... so amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed this episode! God's blessings on y'all!
Good to see you and Kevin back to work together again in a video together. Keep them coming. Maybe you won't have to clean a multiple decades old bathroom again like the one you cleaned in the shop. You are very awesome to tackle that. Kevin is a lucky guy to have someone like you. The booger truck was classy with the color combination when it was new in 78.
I can't tell you how good it feels that this is taking you so long... I feel so useless when my projects take forever and I need to somehow scrounge together the motivation to get back into it. Not being the only one really helps.
Mmmmm…hot sauces 🤤 Glad to see Booger in a mostly good working condition! 👍 And I’m glad to see you and Kevin back at it together having a blast. God bless you both! 🙏
"Bout time Mook. I started all this with watching you first and then found Junkyarddigs. Now I'd like to see a little more consistency with your videos. Watching this one was very enjoyable. Glad you got Boogertruck runnin'. And Nova next. Keep up the good work.
Nice to see that 'ol truck running well and back on the road. It's truly been a long haul project . Enjoyed see you both in a new video as well. Keep On Trucking!
watching you guys brings back the time i had to change the clutch plate on a 88 Tempo with no help floor jacks maxed out and no help freezing about 10 degrees outside and me alone in my dads garage cold as heck wishing for help lol got it back in had some bolts left over but ran until i traded it in 5yrs later lol drove it everywhere in tenn
Booger is back on the road! This video is motivating, I'm working on a 1988 F250 7.3 IDI and I had to pull the transmission to get a new torque convertor. She's not yet quite ready for prime time, but watching Kevin and Mook's excitement driving Booger, I can't wait for the same experience. Its been a long project of installing the torque convertor, finding a replacement motor, pulling the motor and swapping in a good used one. It took me a year to get to this point with working outside in my driveway in good weather plus with limited days as the past two years I've been working 65 to 72 hours a week due to manpower shortages. Thanks Mook and Kevin! I needed this!!!!
Put your transmission jack on top of a tool cabinet and ratchet strap it down. Thus making it tall enough to use with lift up and stable . Or build a rolling table to set the trans jack on. Standing while removing transmission is much easier than lay on back. Love the content
Yay, glad to see you posting again. I just got my 400 dollar ranger running because the truck engine was bad but the transmission I found out didn’t want to last long. I blew reverse out of it yesterday after the first drive. So I’m going back with a manual because I hate how I keep losing automatic transmissions. My daily failed so I rebuilt it fast and it didn’t last long. The guy blew the engine so it makes sense that he hurt the trans in the process
Congratulations on a fine transmission swap, looked like it went along pretty smoothly 👍 I remember when you picked up that truck and it's good to see it running and driving so nicely. Keep up the great work guys, it was good to see you working again Mook, next up the Nova 👍✌️🇺🇲
Boogertruck, Nove and Mook are my biggest inspiration for me and my Edsel, Trouble. I hope I have as much joy when I can get his engine running as Mook has driving around in Boogertruck, thank you so much for sharing with us
Well this has been the 1st tyranny video I could stand watching in a while. Way to go Mook and Kevin I hope you learned a thing or two about transmission work. You guys are great.
When I was a young lad (18 years old) I worked at a Cottman Transmission in Ft. Myers, Florida. I had pulling transmissions down to a science. My average time to pull a transmission was about 15 minutes. If you do it enough you get that good. Then again, I didn't work on that many rusted out cars and trucks in Florida. a 1/2 inch drive 36 inch long extension is your best friend when removing the bell housing bolts. Sometimes, if you have an engine that turns over hard when it is hot your timing my be off by a little bit. Try adding or removing a degree to see if that cures your problems but you may already know that...
I watched the entire series on this truck and it was great! I laughed so much and enjoyed watching you bring this old truck to life. Keep up the good work Mook!!
Mook I knew you guys would get booger truck running and back on the road again. I believe in both of you. I have missed your videos because seeing you and Kevin working together is a great thing and something that only happens on your channel. You are a very unique lady and I have a lot of respect for you.
Very cool!!! Great to see another 78 back on the road!! My first truck was a 79 that I bought in 1992. The M engines (351/400) eat starters. Parts store reman units are garbage. After having to rebuild a out-of-the-box reman, I gave up and rebuilt it myself; lasted much longer!! Make sure you have a clean mounting surface as the case grounds to the bellhousing and that can cause a slow spin. For the rear end: best leveling trick I found is about 300 lbs of traction sand bags behind the axle in the bed. Levels it out and it rides better. Beautiful truck!!! One of THE BEST Ford made!♥️💪
YAY Mook your back 🫠🤗. Missed you 😢 and your videos. Good to see Booger truck is getting some attention again. I've been trying to spot it in the background of Kevin's videos to see if anything is happening. 😂 Good to have you back 😊
Looking forward to the Nova videos. A hot minute ago i was looking to buy a nova and found the first video and now i watch junkyard mook, digs, pole barn garage and allot of others i found through y'all.
Glad you got Booger truck back home & now you can get new videos out on your burnt Nova & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you Mook & Kevin, would love to see you get your Burnt Nova running again especially with that V8 that you're going to be putting in it
Good job Mook. Kevin, nice assist. Mook, get a pair of new door strikers, it makes a world of difference in how the doors will close, stay closed and not rattle. On a side note, truck only looks level when going UP hill. 😅
Great job on the trans. I have a 94' F-350 7.3 turbo diesel that I changed the transmission without a trans jack or hoist. Did it in the gravel driveway. I had the same type torque converter
Awesome stuff, Mook! Congratulations! When I saw that (what...gallon or two...) water come out of that oil pan...I was😳. 🤷🏻♂️Welp, she has her work cut out for her...😎. I think you’re going to be surprised at how quiet Booger Truck is going to be with new door seals...lol. I’m looking forward to seeing you putting Burnt Toad (Nova) back together again.😁 ...keep on keeping on!😎👍🏻
I'm a chevy man and always will be, but this body style ford and especially the color scheme will always have a place in my heart. It's what i grew up with. To me that truck could do it all. Some of my earliest memories from my childhood has to do with this truck. It just didnt have hood stripes on it.
Doesn't take too long to learn to appreciate power steering on a heavy vehicle Only thing I'd have done differently, is consider a rear main oil seal for the engine while you're in there. Even if it isn't leaking now, it may. Also, the reverse lights are on the column, it's part of the park/neutral switch, maybe needs adjusted.
Hi Mook and Kevin, Glad to see bugger truck getting some love! Even more exciting to see you picking up the engine for thr Nova! Looking forward to seeing whats next!
Heckin' booger truck I tell ya. Good job Mook!
Thanks for all your help 😊😊😊
That’s a god dang booger truck I’ll tell ya h’what

The lifejacket is CLEARLY for boogertruck.
I actually really like that green and the stripes. Was hoping for a wash and maybe some sort of sealer/patina application. Maybe next time, this truck deserves it. Great video, can’t wait to see more of the Nova !
Hi Mook, so glad to see you again. We have missed you.🎉

Nothing makes my bones more happy than young people finding ways to emjoying old stuff.

Are we going to have more consistent content from you now?? You do good work. Have a wonderful day Mook!
it would be great to get posts every couple weeks.... one can dream....
Love these old trucks. Honestly prefer them over almost any new vehicle out there. Love channels like your's and Kevin's to watch these rebuilds

Yah it sure was and that's a fact! I remember the ads with it in magazines on a two page spread. Gorgeous!

It's so quiet now! Love the green on green. Can't believe it's been 3 years.
Put your transmission jack on top of a tool cabinet and ratchet strap it down. Thus making it tall enough to use with lift up and stable . Or build a rolling table to set the trans jack on. Standing while removing transmission is much easier than lay on back. Love the content
Or just buy the correct trans jack. I have done enough transmissions on my back, and never again.
Just started following you Mook, looking forward to watching all your videos! 👌🏻👌🏻👏👏

Congradulations on getting Buger moving, great truck.
You did it!! I'm sure this felt like a huge achievement. Congratulations!
Love watching you two work together. I love your green truck & the fact it's running again.
Mook’s sneeze is the cutest thing next to a dozen puppies.
You two are so good together, an absolute joy to watch! Look after each other you have something special.
The door rattle is likely due to a missing plastic piece on the striker plate, a pice of pex water pipe works real nice as a replacement
Or you can just buy the door bushings for like 50 cents each. I have a 93 F-150, and the doors rattled like hell. Door bushings fixed them just fine.
I'm so ready for the burnt nova! 68-72 Nova's are my favorite
Glad your back 👍🏻

Do What standing up?

Just leave it sit for a few more years Mook!. Then Kevin and you can do a "will it run!" 😄👍
I love your sense of humor .
I love your approach to car repair.
I'm so excited every time you produce a video!!!! Thank you!!!
Update on 5.7 vortec nova?
Kevin you could use a large bench vise and a socket as a press to push out the U-joint caps.
Are you sure that’s a 78? It’s got 79 headlights on it fs.
On the 78, those headlights were on higher trim models.
Looking forward to the Nova videos. A hot minute ago i was looking to buy a nova and found the first video and now i watch junkyard mook, digs, pole barn garage and allot of others i found through y'all.
Dumb, question Did you get the truck up to operating temperature and check the trans fluid while the truck was running?
Yes
Glad you got Booger truck back home & now you can get new videos out on your burnt Nova & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you Mook & Kevin, would love to see you get your Burnt Nova running again especially with that V8 that you're going to be putting in it
Mook Kevin is a very fortunate man for having you he don't seams to mind what you do i wish you both the very best.
