I've been a general contractor / wood worker / DIYer for 20 plus years. The Wainscoting Layout Calculator has changed my life forever! The math / layout is always the worst part of the project for me. THANK YOU!!!
I really like this. I would stop at the ply wood stage and frame it. The battens are optional right? Thanks though, I’ve been trying to figure out how to spice up my rental! U laid everything out so perfectly.
I am looking to do something similar. But was wondering is it possible to create something similar without ever poking any holes on the walls? Maybe a longer extrusion from the wall and a wider base on the floor?
Possibly, but if you want it to reach the ceiling I would attach it to the wall. They sell TV stands with built in fireplaces on Amazon. Would be cheaper than building one yourself.
The fireplace wall is 7 feet wide, 8 feet tall. I have a dimension breakdown in the description. For more information on the fireplace insert you can watch my video on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/AjUWcS9KAHU/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching!
@@thebuildsociety Thanks for the response! Just built an entertainment wall in my basement and trying to decide whether or not a mantle will fit well, but it would be right around that same height so that is reassuring!

Absolutely!
Can you come to Columbus Ohio and do some for me . Is it possible
We are in the process of building ours but not sure how we make sure the edges are seamless where the plywood meets. Any suggestions?
Add corner trim pieces or do 45 degrees
Nice job but shouldn’t you prime before painting?
It was a paint and primer in one, worked well for me.

Not sure it’s safe to just just plug that in, I don’t think that’s safe?
How much did it cost you in total for materials for this build. Love it!!
$750 give or take a few $
I know I can do this. I just need all the tools 😒
Start off with a circular saw and you can build almost anything!
