    Hello to you Ben. I'v just been aproved in Google Earth Studio ans, at first I thought that After Effect was essential. Since I am a long time Final Cut Sudio user, I was realy sad. BUT I dis a search on Google and found your site. Boy was I glad to know it is possible but moreover, your teaching how was the cherry on the cake. Thanks so much. In this viral era, having such a tool to play with is of great support to occupy ourself. So thanks so much and merci beaucoup. You made my day. A fellow Canadian from Quebec City.

      You are welcome. Love the work on your channel too. I keep meaning to visit Glacier National Park. It is only a short 8hr drive from us here in Saskatchewan.

    Thank You Ben,
    A really useful Tutorial,
    I tried a few weeks ago to use Google Earth Studio,
    but was overwhelmed by the many options within the Program, and got lost a few times,
    your tutorial gave a VERY detailed explanation for this basic animation,
    the other TH-cam Tutorials i've watched, are not as detailed in these explanations.
    And i'm wondering, is there any chance of follow up Tutorials showing some of the additional features available in Google Earth Studio,
    some of these features could be really useful
    Also I managed to get rid of the "Google" Watermark,
    by composing/reframing my animation from slightly further away,
    and when imported into FCPX, zooming in to exclude the Watermark.
    these Google Earth Studio Tutorials could be a useful Playlist in your TH-cam channel.

      That is great. I will certainly be creating some more Google Earth Studio tutorials over time. It is such a great application.

      Billy, removing the watermark is against the rules, if you use Google Earth Studio you must leave the watermark visible.
      from earth.google.com/studio/docs/attribution/
      "All uses of Google Earth Studio must provide attribution to both 'Google Earth' and third party imagery providers, if applicable. We require this attribution to be visible when Earth Studio content is shown."

    Very good instructions. I think I'll be able to make use of this for some non-profit things I'm working on. I'll contact Google Earth Studio to see if they agree. Thanks again Ben.

    Thanks for the tutorial. How long did your approval from Google take?

    • @BenjaminHalsall
      @BenjaminHalsall  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not too long. I am using this educationally though.. here on TH-cam and in my classes so my approval was probably pretty quick. Did you get approved yet?

    How to create an animated flight path in Google earth studio with airplane icon?

    • @BenjaminHalsall
      @BenjaminHalsall  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome idea! I wonder if there is an automated way to do this. Do you have an example of what you are looking for. I'd like to see the style you are imagining.

    Hello my friend .. Why not shorten and make the video fast for the same duration with Google?

    • @BenjaminHalsall
      @BenjaminHalsall  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keeping the videos slow means you have more flexibility and control in the edit in Final Cut Pro X or Premiere. It just gives more creative possibilities.

    Hello Ben.
    When I have all the files in FCP and change duration to 1 frame, they do not connect as in a magnetic time line. Also when I make it a compound clip it shows 1 frame only in 10 seconds.
    Maybe it's simple ;-)
    BRGDS Roland.

      Roland van Helden you may have the position tool selected. Switch back to the Select tool. Shortcut is A

      Thank you! Problem solved. It was because I put the files on a secondary timeline. And yes also using position tool. "beginner troubles"

    It's great, BUT the licence says NO commercial use, just personal.

      Just say that your commercial work is very personal to you.

    When they say not for Commercial use. Does this include TH-cam channels which are monetized?

    • @BenjaminHalsall
      @BenjaminHalsall  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would definitely say that is not my area of expertise!

    • @livingincarync9020
      @livingincarync9020 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say that it does unfortunately. I'm a drone pilot for my YT channel and I had to get a commercial license because I fly for my business (my channel is not monetized yet) . Unfortunatly, from what I understand, if a channel is ever monetized it will turn into commercial use, since the channel will be making revenue. For example, I've seen videos of other drone pilots on YT acutally being contacted by the FAA becuase they didn't have commercial licenses and although they were flying for personal puposes, it was on their YT channels which were monetized. Relating to your question, I would say it would qualify as commercial use if it is used on a monetized channel. Hope this helped.
