I would like to add that during the split, it was a huge mess in korea, because 300k people signed the petition to the lawsuit too. And the fanwar were hedious. SM stocks hit bottom place, etc. In short, a lot of people were suffered.
I was still a minor so I had to fought with my guardian for travel to their concert with my friend. They said I'd had a chance to see TVXQ more when I grew up and went to university in the capital but I talked back "Who know if I'll have a chance to see them again?" and then 2 weeks later after the concert, the 3 members filed a lawsuit. What a jinx LOL I still wonder what would it be now if they're still 5. Some blamed the 3 who left but because they end things badly with SM, they got banned on TV for many freaking years. But now I think that what happened then made them grew stronger individually. You should try checking out their solo albums since they're likely to wrote their own song in them more. As of Love in the Ice, it was originally wrote by Japanese songwriter. The lyrics were different, it portrayed the love to someone who had been scarred and choose to trap themselves in the ice, and hopefully one day the love will melt their ice cold heart and warm it up again. I especially love "love in the ice" live at soul power, the emotional and the live band was so awesome. As for Korean lyrics, according to Wiki it was wrote by Max changmin. thanks for your question, I got it all wrong for many years and thought that Jeajoong (the man in the center) wrote "Love in the Ice" but he actually wrote "Don't cry my love" instead. May I suggested "In heaven" it wrote by Jeajoong after his friend committed a suicide so it such an emotional song and the live is beyond the world.
Oh no! That's so sad, I bet that would've been amazing to see live, I guess that with all the controversy behind a certain member I guess we will probably not see a reunion. That has to be Max Changmin that wrote that, that just screams TVXQ

It was a great experience but I'm thinking of going to TVXQ's concert in Japan next time since the stage, sound system and Japanese culture that keep silent in slow songs are more suited to appreciate the songs. My first and last TVXQ OT5 concert. Max Changmin unexpectedly took my breath away when he flew over my head. Actually I was Jeajoong stan but Changmin was so gorgeous in real life. I dare say his photo can't do him justice then and Jeajoong visual was outshining other members LOL

I recommend you to check out some of JYJ's concert performances, such as "In heaven" in Tokyo Dome, "Get out", "Creation", "Wake me tonight", "Back seat", "Boy's letter" and "W" / A nation version/! The last performance, in my opinion, is unbelievable as a vocal prowess. Otherwise, from DBSK, Kim Jaejoong is the rocker. He has a rock album "WWW" from 2013, but also has new rock tracks like "Big Revolution", rock-ballad "Broken Mirror", "Breaking Dawn", "Defiance".
you should dive into KIm Jaejoong, one of their member. He left TVXQ with JYJ. His solo discography is insane, especially rock music (some of his famous song: Just another girl, Mine, Butterfly, Maze, Glamorous Sky, Ultra Soul). Although I admit that I love TVXQ so much as a five and how much I hate SM, i have to say that TVXQ had to split. Why? Because all 5 of them are too talented to be kept in the box. If they hadnt split, we will never see the growth of Max and U know as a vocalist. And JYJ will never be able to pursue their true music and color they desired.
I know, I think here pretty soon I am going to do a pillars sub unit month. The Pillars I refer to the groups that took this channel off, EXO SHINEE TVXQ SUJU GG

It's really unfortunate for TVXQ, as the 5 of them did so much ground work to get to the peak during the golden era (just my personal opinion) of kpop/jpop.
