    I still prefer the Tokyo Dome version, but obviously this is great too. Honestly it's TVXQ's most epic song, even is sometimes they have other tracks I think might be my favourite.

    Bolero without doubt belongs on a History of Kpop album. It’s a shame so little of the 2nd generation look, feel, and sound made it into the successive generations. There was a maturity to the way music was approached-this being a perfect example-that’s largely been lost.

    • @Killdeer25
      @Killdeer25  ปีที่แล้ว

      absolutely it does, do you think that it gets overlooked because of how explosive 3rd gen kpop was or is there another reason? I do think that you are right in the fact that the music does have a more mature undertone and feel about it.

    These 5 voices will forever be the most unique and incredible combination. It'll never happen again. 🥲 This along with Tonight and Why did I fall in love with you are some of my favorite songs of theirs because of their vocals.

    Im deadly serious when I said TOHOSHINKI is on another level. Yunho is the rapper n main dancer but he also can kill highnotes, yuchun is also the rapper but he is the one who kill the highnotes here too. While changmin is the one who is in charge of the highnotes of all the time has a great low voice too. The main vocalist junsu and jaejoong werent to be questioned. To top it all, they have visuals and talents. There're reasons why TOHOSHINKI is still a big hit in japan until today even with only 2 members left. Every member have those talents. Thank u.

      Also, a small note: This song was an OST for a Japanese movie based of my favorite manga "Dance Subaru", which is basically a heart wrenching underdog tale set in the cutthroat world of ballet. (Thus, the title "Bolero" for the dance, and the deep lyrics set against those heavenly vocals and orchestral music)

    I’m glad you mentioned the lyrics, I have always found them to be poetic and now I have an even better appreciation. Their harmonies are amazing but really stand out live, as well as the high notes from Junsu and Changmin. I am watching the MVs backwards but I will reply to the others as well.

      I hear you, love me my Max but Junsu is unbelievable. He also goes by the name Xiah. Was obsessed with his song Flower for so long (you may have already seen or heard it, the video was full on. My two year old nephew (at the time) made me play it on the laptop constantly, he was mesmerised by it and was always humming it) And like Khyhyun and Suho is really really big in musical theatre. Sorry if I am rambling, you probably know all this. I have a real soft spot for Yunho though hahaha

      @Swduc Honestly I think when they debuted and up until at least the split, Jaejoong had the best technique. Kind think he's destroying his voice by smoking and otherwise not properly taking care of it, though, because some performances from the past few years do sound a bit rough.

    • @procyon1
      @procyon1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@swduc2836Junsu is always had the best technique and is still on the top. I don't know why you think Changmin is the best because Changmin was always the 3rd one among all the 3 of them to me. Junsu is the first of course and then Jaejoong. You are right, Junsu damaged his voice a lot before military era. Because he had to perform 3 hours live nearly every day for a year. Sometimes he did it twice a day. The musicals he did that time was one-cast so didn't have any time to rest his voice. Also the songs were really hard. Especially the songs of Dorian Gray. But thaks to his military servise he could rest. And than his voice came back to him. Changmin improved a lot over the years but his voice used to crack so much. And sometimes he was singing in off-key and straining a lot. All of them gone now but he still has a problem in lower notes. In lower notes Jaejoong and Junsu much better than him. They even better than Yunho. Also i think you should check out Jaejoong's recent live performances. Especially the last one in Dream Concert. There was a time he was trying to change his style and technique so he harshed his voice a little. But now the changing is complate so he is at the best form of himself.

    This is great yeah - but its in the past. There is someone on TH-cam who has decided to take all of the Duo TVXQ songs - *erase* most of the singing that Changmin and Yunho have recorded and replace it with ai simulations of JYJ members - given how much Yunho and Changmin actually got to sing with the original group its no surprise that most of Changmin's work and pretty much ALL of Yunho's is gone.
    I know JYJ stans dislike these guys, but erasing over 15 years of their work is just not right.
