There is one thing that's been bugging me about the new anime version of Bleach: the title cards. More specifically, I don't read Japanese and so I don't know what details and background information are being explained only on these cards to save time in the actual animation. As a reader of the manga version I've been comparing the two tellings of the story - and your episode-by-episode breakdowns have provided an exhaustive exploration of the details! One of the criticisms I've heard of the Thousand Year Blood War has been the glossing-over of details, and I'm curious whether or not they were there all along but were untranslated?
Aizen setup his base in Las Noches an obvious location is openly trolling SS while Yhwach setup his base under sereite shadows that's another level of trolling.

I think one of the main reasons they leave such a lasting mark is that they leave a very impressive body count after seasons of antagonists never killing anyone of note.
And even then it’s only a few important people.
The Sternritter are utterly menacing I got so comfortable seeing my favorite Bleach Captains pull through, watching them get utterly decimated stunned me. Also the powers and designs were just Soo good.
That Bambietta face from the thumbnail gets me every time. Might have been Kubos best panel ever.

Just a small note: the "w" in Wandenreich is pronounced as a "v", so it is technically the Vandenreich, cus German. Anything in German that starts with a "w" is pronounced as a "v" sound, and whilst we're at it, anything in german beginning with a "v" is pronounced with a "f" sound.

It's interesting how many have their own ambitions yet are totally submissive to Yhwach. Not that surprising. Still at least Haschwald arranged to have the survivors evacuated to the human world where they now reside, putting the war behind them and making the best of their new lives.

In an extended story, Shaz Domino actually has the Greek letter ’Sigma’, originally it was ‘V’ because he was actually and imagination created by the real user of ‘V’. Shaz was given his own power that allowed him to replace each body part and became real. He would face Kira as he searched for the Hogyoku, wanted to evolve and transcend his existence.

One thing I was always confused over. Uryu ingested yhwach’s blood so why didn’t he fall prey to the Aushwalen?
This is the reason why juha considered ishida to be the last surviving Quincy. He somehow managed to bypass juhas aushwalen back then when taking the powers from all the mixed blooded Quincy’s and that is why juha granted him the letter “A” and also stated that ishida had something that could surpass his own powers

For some reason uryu is immune to yuhwach's aushwalen that's why he survived in the first place while mixed blood quincy like his mother didn't it was never fully explained why i guess uryu is just built different and that's one of the reasons he was chosen as yuhwach's successor it's like how aizen was born with this huge amount of reitsu or how ulquiorra was a born vasto lord some characters in bleach are just born superior to the rest

Uryuu was the last quincy ? So was that just. A lie or was they meaning in the general area and not exactly the entire world ? Brings the question of if it's just a small area then he wasn't the sole survivor of the quincy selection process ?

Just a reminder that no ability within Bleach can kill Yhwach, some people truly forget that just because they think Aizen’s Kyoka Suigetsu was supposedly just extremely more powerful. It is powerful but that wasn’t the case for when he caught Yhwach under it.
Aizen placed Yhwach under his Kyoka Suigetsu’s complete hypnosis during their first meeting in prison, that was when he didn’t have the almighty ability, and Yhwach didn’t know the full grasp of Kyoka suigetsu’s hypnosis. Aizen is fused with his zanpakto. Yhwach didn’t realize that, and due to this, just by looking at Aizen, he was placed under its hypnosis, it makes sense cause if he did know then he wouldn’t have gone to see him face to face in the first place. He realized it after Hashwalth confronted him in the end during the first invasion fight with ichigo episode 7.
We can also conclude that Yhwach didn’t know that the effects of Suigetsu’s ability period are indefinite, meaning that once first exposed to Kyoka Suigetsu’s hypnosis, you are forever vulnerable, so just by being in his presence he’s already under the effect. For example like the vizards how even 100 years later, just by being in Aizen’s presence they were able to be affected by Suigetsu’s hypnosis as we all know.
So overall Yhwach was careless thinking that just cause him and Aizen both have a common bad view of the soul society he wouldn’t have any reason to harm him cause yhwach thought his goals aligned with his but they didn’t. Aizen stated in Can’t fear your world 2 "But as the forefather of the Quincy once wanted, it will be no good for the world to go back to what it used to be in the beginning. It is crucial that people not lose their significance as a 'person'. Therefore, I shall become the lynchpin of this world, a symbol of all the sins committed by the Shinigami. The Rei-o, who is also a sacrifice, must fall out of heaven."
In chapter 684, Yhwach simply deactivated Kyoka Suigetsu's effects when he realized that he was under it and was still prone to it due to their first meet in the underground prison. So overall, Yhwach basically made himself immune to Aizen’s Kyoka Suigetsu simply cause once the Almighty has all knowledge of the ability that is being used against it, it becomes useless and stops working. Similar to Yhwach’s battle with Ichibei In chapter 610, The Official transition, Yhwach stated, “ I can know everything I see and all the powers I know take my side not only can they not be used to defeat me, they cannot even be used to harm me.That is my power the almighty”
Yhwach literally deactivates Ichibei’s darkness ability from his body, as Yhwach said to ichibehi, assuming his thoughts were, “How didn’t he die? Why was my power peeled off of him? Why did I lose?” Yhwach literally made it to where ichibei’s darkness ability stopped working on him when it was simultaneously being inflicted over his whole body.
It’s the same with Uryu’s antithesis. Regardless of the reversal effects it does on events, the ability isn’t a counter to Yhwach’s Almighty; as stated again, once Yhwach knows of the power that’s being used against him it won’t have effects against him. Haschwalth said in chapter 610 “His majesty’s power is the power to see all that is about to take place, and the power his majesty sees cannot be used to kill him” so overall Uryu’s antithesis won’t interfere with Yhwach’s almighty.
The explanation as to why Yhwach didn't foresee the arrow is pretty simple. He was so distraught over almost being killed by Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho that he was distracted. Uryu then merely took advantage of the moment and fired at him. The Almighty is something that Yhwach has to actively use, and its visions has to be something that Yhwach has to interpret. Evidence that hints this is when Uryu came and shot the Arrow at Yhwach, Yhwach had no recollection of what it was (The Arrow) that was coming at him, he stated “What is this” he would’ve known what is was if the almighty was activated. Haschwalth even said in chapter 609 “His majesty’s power is the power to see all that is about to take place, and the power his majesty sees cannot be used to kill him” so overall Uryu’s antithesis won’t interfere with Yhwach’s almighty. Logically speaking it would but Yhwach would somehow some way make it to where it just wouldn’t work against him, I mean it literally states that whatever power he knows won’t work. I’m assuming that he would just deactivate it like how he did to Aizen’s Kyoka Suigetsu in chapter 684 and Ichibei Ichimonji in chapter 610.
Even though Haschwalth said to Uryu that antithesis can challenge Yhwach, it can’t necessarily defeat him. Haschwalth backtracks on the statement and says to Uryu in chapter 679, “You’re a smart man. I know you realize you don’t stand a chance against me or his majesty,” which he was right cause Uryu was getting beaten up throughout the whole entire fight against him. If he can’t even lay permanent damage on Haschwalth how can he beat Yhwach the giver and taker of powers?
When did he use the Almighty to make himself immune to Kyoka Suigetsu?
All he said was that Aizen's ability wore off, whether through arrogance or exhaustion. He used the Almighty to (absorb Aizen and) rewrite his own death.

I always wondered, shouldn’t there have been 5 schutzstaffel? One for each point on the Quincy cross?
I believe Kubo had missed a great opportunity to deepen his world building with significant numbers and/or in-world numerology. He kinda dabbled but never fully committed to the concept. To be fair, a lot of his numerology references in Bleach were Japanese in nature and easily lost in translation, but even those didn’t really add too much substance to the characters or setting.

Eh, the Stern's overall weren't all that interesting to me aside of an extreme small few. Design and ability wise, they just weren't hitting like the Soul Reapers or the Espada. Found a lot of the Letter powers bs too.
There are more interesting Sternritters than there are interesting Espadas. It's just that the Sternritters have a smaller ratio on account of having a larger total number. You only need one third of the Sternritters to match the total number of the Espadas.
@@olo703 let me stop you there and state that's your opinion. As I find their Nazi attire just boring to look at. And that remains to be seen as the only one to fight the Espada in the Quincy army was Juha.
@@UnifiedEntity First, I didn't say that the Sternritters are more interesting than the Espadas, merely that the Sternritters offer more choices to appeal to preferences. There are marginally more Sternritters than there are Espadas.
Second, when I say match, I didn't speak in terms of power, but design and preference, which is the topic.
On that note, there is such a thing as powerscaling. And you'd be severely mistaken to pressume that the Espadas as a whole compare to the Sternritters in terms of power. Especially when you have an exponentially more powerful version of Ichigo with respect to Fake Karakura Town arc stalemating someone like Quilgue. Or someone like Royd tanking Yamamoto's Shikai with his arm, in Base to boot.
