Hey Frank, How about food storage ideas for a future EP? Things like Shallots and Celery, if wrapped in foil before storing in the fridge, last for a couple of weeks. Vacuum-sealed meat lasts longer in the fridge and doesn't get freezer burn. I'm sure if you ask your followers, they have plenty of tips to keep food longer without it going off. Food waste is a big part of saving money at the moment, too. Keep up the great and entertaining work.

Frank, you should still be in radio or doing voice over work. Love that professional tone in your voice. A heads up for yourself and Mrs Mac, the hot chickens at Woolies, if you go there at the last hour or half hour of trade, the hot chickens get marked down to half price or less. Cheers Rob.

Yeah! That's crazy in the half price snacks and lollies isle. A big competition there against the healthy foods.

I shop around between Coles Woolies, Aldi, Foodland, NQR , independent fruit and veg and anywhere food is sold. I juggle all my offers and buy the lowest price. I ONLY every buy markdown meat.

Woolworths has a policy to mark down their cooked chickens if they are older than four hours. I have known shoppers to ask the deli staff to mark it down for them if it hasn't already been done. They are the fresh food people after all.

Junk food doesn't sell so they have to mark it down when it gets close to the best by date, maybe? Veggies here are expensive. I found frozen bell peppers mix frozen, at Family dollar store but tiny amount. Can't remember how much. Rain and strong winds last night kept me awake all night. We need the rain.

Hi from NZ Frank our supermarket chain that was called COUNTDOWN has just changed there name to WOOLWORTHS being Australian owned but some of our prices seem better than yours for some reason and this does not allow for our exchange rate so go figure?

Nothing is cheap anymore. Woolies or Aldi. I wait until there is a budget beef roast on special, then cube it up and cook a stew in the instant pot. Meat is tender.
