Without a doubt, one of the best lessons I have even seen on TH-cam. The essence of this lesson is on such a high level, knowing where you are in time and then learning how to manipulate that place where you are at. Wow, great job gentlemen. This video is definitely a gem, and will last the test of time.

So great to hear drummers talk about Red Light Syndrome, and that valuable tip from Don Lombardi!!!

Curt is the man. Listen to that groove on Bonnie Raitt's "Something To Talk About" - talk about playing what is perfect for the tune and with total feel. The backbeat is so far back in the groove, very Jeff Porcaro-ish if I may say, but Curt has his own sound totally. Super cool guy too from what I hear.

Definitely a big fan since Curt and I went to the same high school back in the days.

Good stuff, Kirkee B and Don. What isolation headphones would you recommend for playing/recording with a metronome? I've been using the Vic Firth SIH2 headphones but they kept failing on me, so I'm on the market for better products. Thanks.

@@shamadana1 I find that ear muffs trap bass tones, which is a really bad thing. (I had ear muffs given to me by an airline mechanic, not sure if they're the same.)
