great content but i think you misspoke about the adding of verse numbers. You said it was robert scrivener but it was actually robert estienne or stefanus.

5:20 The Quran's main version has ~77,000 words. It's a lot, right? The Bible has ~780,000 words (Protestant version) or ~850,000 words (Catholic/Orthodox version).
It seems bigger because they use bigger letter formats, so the Quran seems to be about 1/3 of the Bible's size but it is actually less than 1/10. 😅

Prove to me when was he born? What date?

Why would he? What would that prove? Luke tells us when Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem to be numbered in the Roman census. The timing was relative to then current historical political figures where in power and where and the Augustinian census. Also, within a couple of years from when Zachariah was serving as priest in the temple. A month and a day would be a guesstimate.

You even stated that after all these thousands of years the Bible has maintained the word of God. You don't think that after all these years the fact that the Bible has not only maintained its integrity but has been translated into so many different languages while maintaining its integrity is magical? It's why we're supposed to maintain a childlike mind when it comes to the Bible. It's the living word of God. You're supposed to write the scriptures on your heart. I love your content but you're coming at it from such a scholarly point of view that you're putting more faith in man than in God. The Bible would have never withstood the test of time if it was not ordained to do so by God himself.

@Pacer108 . Keep in mind, he's using the term "magical" in a witchcraft way, not a Godly way. That's why Wes refers to movies, to prove his point. Of course WE who have the discernment of the Holy Spirit, are much different from those who don't know the Lord as a living God, who continues to walk with us today, and he's trying to explain why you can trust your Bible vs the untruths from people like Billy Carson, who proport himself to be, the scholar Wes Huff truly is. This IS an academic talk.

I agree. This almost gave me doubt the bible is supernatural. I trust Jesus to preserve truth.

@marcilynn300 if God made all of us and predestined those who preserved the word like a master chess player, is that not "magical"? God made the world we think of as ordinary. All of it is magical in that none of us could made a single grain of sand. Every breath you are able to take in is magical if you think about it.

      This isn’t spiritual teaching.
      Though it is still edifying.
Faith rooted in knowledge is true faith. The knowledge can be experiential, scriptural and historical. Each one has its own benefit and each one is as important as the other.
When the world discredits the written word, men like this are used by God to strengthen his people and protect them with Faith to deflect lies that attempt to discredit and arm them with the word of truth to cut down falsehoods.
