I truly want to try to preserve my independance so making my own meals is important. I am amazed that your recipes are so quick...I can even do them in stages making it easier on standing. Back to this recipe for like the 20th time its so good. It's In the upper 80's today in Tampa but I needed something to give me that feeling of the season of Fall. This one hits the spot!

My husband is always asking for Chicken and dumplings (his favorite dish). As we are gluten-free I have tried a ton of recipes and they have all failed. I am happy to report we made your chicken and dumplings gluten free and it turned out amazing. My husband absolutely loved it. And I as someone who has never liked chicken and dumplings have been converted. Thank you so much for this recipe.
I've made this now twice since I found this video and keeps getting better! I love the simplicity of the ingredients, stuff I usually have on hand. Heavy cream is probably the only rare item I don't carry typically. Thanks!

LOVE hearing you are enjoying my recipes! I have pancreatic/blood sugar issues myself, so I typically use natural sweeteners, whole grains, and protein to keep me on track. Most of my recipes are designed to fit that or have modifications to help. But keep in mind, I am not low-carb, nor do I need to be to manage my type of blood sugar issues. Looks fantastic! Question: what suggestions do you have for reheating leftovers? I don’t want the dumplings to become rocks…but I know my family (only 2 of us) won’t eat all of this in one sitting…
Store leftover cooled soup in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You may need to add a splash of broth or milk to loosen it up before heating. This recipe does not freeze well due though :)
I made this several times and it came out great. I have a family member who needs the dish to be non-dairy. What would you use to replace the milk/cream?
I used Avocado oil instead of butter in the dumplings. Lactose intolerant one in my house so I used a lactose free milk. Before other brands started making it, I substituted Rice Milk for milk in most recipes. Just be sure you don’t accidentally use a flavored version! Vanilla gravy is not good!😂 I would probably not use the rice milk to thicken just to make the dumplings.
I really want to make this, but I am gluten free and dairy free, have you tried to make the dumplings with some type of gluten free flour? What would you suggest for a substitute for the heavy cream at the end?
I would suggest trying an all-purpose 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. I have not tried it for this recipe, but have used in many recipes with great success. And simply omit the heavy cream if you don't care to add it.
