Love your videos. I'm a fan of the Dukes too. I'm liking the new #2 square jaw 'ol Bill come out with for us. Speaking of long springs, you want to sell some of the ones you aren't using anymore for cats? I'd love to buy 'em from ya for cats. Let me know if ya want to sell a few of your old long springs. Great videos. Can't wait to see what ya got in store for this season.
Great video and nice idea. Only question is how do you prevent the top layer of dirt which covers the trap from getting wet and subsequently freezing? That is where I struggle as it freezes soild and of course wont fire so I hope wax dirt (top layer) will mitigate that issue.
seen this along time ago old timers used styrefoam and the asphalt shingle my coyotes can smell try sandpaper 60 grit works here mtjpredator contrl out
This will help a lot all I run is coil springs. Thanks for sharing this
I have old trapping book that showed those blocks to keep trap from freezing down
What is the name of the book and auther?
I'm guessing you put an umbrella over the set to prevent whatever you bury it in from freezing??

I don't cover the trap with dirt
How do you cover it?
I dont cover it at all. The trap is exposed

How do you cover the trap in the ground that is the only thing I am worry about

Are you still using this method and having success ?
