to bad I didn't find this video 2 years ago! I've since perfected my own trench set based off yours and I'll never go back to anything els! This set catches animals almost every time it makes them committed by their Natural Curiosity thank you for making the video!!
Thanks for the trench set demo, I tried it and got a bobcat the 1st night, a female weighed 15.7 lbs. and got a big tom a week latter in the same set. he weighed 28 lbs. He is my biggest cat ever, trapping or hunting.
By your own admission, this set takes more time and effort. Is the set so much more effective to make it worth that extra time? I can plug in two good dirt holes in the time it took you to make this set, so in order for it to be worth my while, I'd have to have twice as much chance to catch one in the trench as in my dirt holes just to break even. Now that said, this looks like it's fun to try it just for the change of pace if I have the time. Thanks for the vid. Tight Chains.
Just like when you took your gloves off and put your bare hands down next to your trench set? Or your sleeves that are unbuttoned dragging your scent on the ground? They don't smell that? I'm just starting out, and I want to learn from whom ever! But please show the coyote in the trap at the end of your videos so I know that they work!!! Thanks for the video
your over thinking it, the animal is goin to know your there, regardless, them sleeves aint nuttin, now if the trap was all rusty and stuff then scent control would be an issue, in all honesty human scent by nature only lasts like 18 hours and then goes away
its important to be careful but when your more worried about your sent instead of if your trap is bedded and set properly then you've over though it... where clean cloths touch the ground least amount possible and don't sweat it if you accidentally touch the ground once in a while and you'll be good to go.

How long has he bern trapping everything he has looks brand new
Scent post sets are my favorite
Thank you
NICE VIDEO,I WILL TRY THIS TRENCH SET
I would assume he runs like me..hair trigger - no need for pan cover
this seems like a great set nice change of pace from the common dirt hole, i was just wonder why you put the extra dirt on the side of your trench?
Probably to discourage them from working it from side and also mayb from seeing in hole
so why no pan cover for this set?
Great video make more please
