@@user-jo4nn2fm8e only base dmg and the implicit on bow is getting converted to cold. LE has a different conversion system, so it doesnt matter what element you add as long as it stays cold/fire/lightning and not flat physical since we scale %elemental dmg over time
Quick info: I know about Blast Rain and Jelkhor Trapper builds, i also played them. The video was recorded before 1.0 and HoA was pretty much the most powerful marksman build during that time besides the broken flurry/multishot build. Btw jelkhor trapper is broken aswell so you can expect a heavy nerf.

I've got no clue about the league/season at 1.0 launch. Personally I'll join the Circle of Fortune, so I won't have to rely on other people too much, there rest as usual is RNJesus😇
get as much mana regen on both rings, belt and relic + 10 points in ethereal arrows. If you struggle with the high mana cost, remove some points from coated blades (rogue passive). You can additionaly regain mana when you use puncture instead of decoy. You can cast it during the HoA duration. I have a full mana section in my written build guide and Shadow HoA leveling guide

One thing i noticed, i dont know if its a bug or something, some times i cast HoA and it deals absolutely no dmg, with 250 ticks, after using shift. i just click to cast it again and it ticks for thousands. it makes absolutely no sense and its annoying as f. i also noticed the low dmg hoas occurs when it feels like the arrows take a lil bit longer to drop. i do full rotations on bosses, 3 shadows, arrow, shift and HoA, and some times i get the 250 ticks, i do it exactly the same thing again, booooom. boss die with 1 hoa.
@@trikster08 i finally found what was messing with the dmg !!! the Fire and Steel note is totally bugged. Even 1 point reduce my dmg by 60-70%. I tested on dummys. Just a regular HoA cast. went down from 3k ticks to like 700. ANY amounts of points you invest in that note, fcks up with the dmg just a heads up.
@@sopa7 i was just testing hoa with fire and steel real quick and the passive works for me. I always get additional ticks with each point i invest in fire and steel. Are u playing online or offline? Are you doing the whole rotation properly? Otherwise send a bug report to ehg
Thanks for the build update, was super smooth for everything last cycle, and am playing it again this cycle \°/. Got only 3 questions left regarding the updated build: 1. Do we still need to take siege quiver node since it gives no more elemental res, and we can't consume more than 3 elemental arrows per attack anyway if I understood the nodes correctly? 2. Are 5 points in mana warp node unsustainable? It should give a lot of damage if you can regen enough mana :( 3. 8 points in assassins quiver for 8 flat bow damage probably not worth it? Cheers o/
@@jkl0lohk191 1. Oh shit i forgot to unspec it. Thx for the reminder. 2. Its sustainable and will greatly increase our dmg but you need like 22+ mana regen. I think you can bring hoa up to 170 mana cost with it. 3. Nah not worth it, better to invest into defenses
I played the build and it was really fun an powerfull, but I did not adapt to the playstyle. Kiting ranged mobs feels really bad, and I am kinda of a completionist myself, so I don't like to skip all mobs and go for the objective. I am now playing your version of Shadow Cascade and I am having a blast!
Thanks for this build. As a PoE player it's very close to the Toxic Rain mechanics in that game, so pretty cosy. Two questions: 1. Am I right in assuming this was nerfed somewhat in 1.0? 2. Have you seen the scale with Crit Chance ideas using Tide of Darkness in Dark Quiver?
1. Minor defensive nerfs 2. Yea i played with it but i dont like the gearing for it. Also without crit setup its dealing enough dmg to farm comfortably in high endgame
Hmm seems this build is probably the best I can find that kinda fits my style of giant massive dot with arrows and lots of kiting. Only thing is I want it to fire more often but I guess it can't be helped with the giant mana cost :( I looked up Ballista builds and the clunky 2 step tripwire version really doesn't feel great. Too bad flurry is bugged so massive multishot won't work well. I'll have to respec and regear my blade dancer for this, because I've been leveling up following a umbra + shadow cascade guide.
Compared to the old video or my current live character? The different passive setup is probably gear related to achieve 100%CA or to get more HP etc. The core passives are still the same, just some defensive adjustments i guess, but if you help me out real quick whats different i can let you know
Sure you can use mourningfrost. You will lose either ele dmg over time or mana regen as prefix and also alot of cold/phys res. So different passive/gear setup
A reason why you do not use the new phase point quiver from 1.1 as both Dusk Shrouds and Dark Quiver are central to the build? Also, do you believe this build can be used as a league starter like it is?
New quiver kinda forces you to stay closer to enemies to get hit. You want to stay far away from enemies to survive. It would grant more dmg because of the +3 that we can put in Scourge Quiver (Dark Quiver). Its one of the best cycle starters for marksman since this build doesnt require any gear and you can simply with a bow only having 2 flat dmg affixes
My gameplay combo doesnt benefit from it since i can use smoke bomb 2 times while having the uptime of dark quiver arrows (or when i add decoy in dangerous situations). So my 4th cast will not be HoA all the time.

Why no added bow damage on gear ? HoA tag says: Addd bow damage as Applied at 325% effectiveness per second? I‘m new to that game\build maybe you can explain This for me 🙏
I have added bow dmg on my bow. We can only put added bow dmg on bow and quiver. Reign of Winter already has the highest flat bow dmg, so we want to add additional added bow dmg on a 1-2LP version. On the quiver o prefered resistances since the added bow dmg affixes have lower value.
Hail of Arrows is very powerful while leveling. I have a full leveling guide for that build in my channel. You just start relatively late with it (around level 35-40) because you unlock the skill very late. Until you unlock it you can level with bleed puncture or detonating arrow which are strong aswell.
I stop my builds between 300-500 corruption because i try to test as many builds as possible and its boring for me to push since there is no reason to do so. All items are available at 200c. I have no issues there. Try it out and let me know how high you can come, but 1.0 will change corruption scaling and will hopefully make it more interesting.
By the way, why when I have stat "Increased Elemental Damage" it only increases 3 stats you primarily mention in your guide "Fire, Cold, and Lightning"
dont know if i understand your question correctly, but only fire cold and lightning count as elemental. Necrotic/void/phys/poison are non-elemental resistances or dmg types
I made a video on my channel about my loot filters. You can use mourningfrost for additional dmg, but you have to manage your resistances abit more with it.
@@marcelrasperger1668HoA is a damage over time skill. Singularity will only boost your Hit dmg, so this would only affect the Skystrike node of HoA, which is not the main part of our dmg source.

Why does +fire bow damage benefit if you're running cold?

dude, ive been struggling so much with mana regen. HALP MEAH ! build is awsome, and pretty chill. turned lagoon to a sibiling toy.

Looks like Rain of Arrows in POE - does it feel pretty much the same?
The playstyle is different. You need to do a specific setup to deal massive dot dmg. Rain of arrows was more like aoe burst dmg
Great stuff. What nodes would take for Net?
Jump forward (Nets behind you), frailty stacks, net duration, cannot be dodged, more area, slow stacks.

Doesnt matter if you go bow lightning, fire or cold. All flat dmg is scaled with %elemental dmg over time affix. Just make sure to not go bow phys.

You can simply respec and check what gives you more ticks at the end
