That was one of the best, most complete, objective and informative reviews of the C5 X I saw from the moment this car was presented! "Unspoiled" by the personal preferences of the tester or by the "common prejudice" people tend to have about Citroën cars .... basically one of the rare reviews, that's actually focused on the exact "point and purpose" of this car! Which was even "confirmed and underlined" by Abby's first impression drive, where she immediately recognized and pinpointed all the car's main characteristic and qualities ... Thank you, it was a pleasure to watch!
Brilliant review of this in my opinion most beautiful car in it's class .... The Citroën c5x is simply amazing! Soooo super elegant and the design is timeless ... Thank you reviewing my favourite car
Appreciate your input 👍 While the Ford Focus Sports Tourer is solid, the Citroen C5X really shines with its exceptional comfort, style, and versatility. It's a standout choice for those seeking something special.
In practice the lane assist is just horrible. The first thing I did was switching it off. The ACC makes the car hold back and accelerate again at each and every bump. It makes you feel sick. In addition it breaks too hard when approaching the car in front of you, even when you've set the shortest possible distance. Once you change the lane it accelerates too hard. The software in the car is programmed badly with lots of small but annoying errors. After four months of ever increasing irritation I bought another car. Losing some money is better than getting high blood pressure when driving this car. Yes, it's comfortable, but wobbly, and its consumption is quite good. These pros unfortunately don't outweigh the cons.
Your insights are valuable for both the manufacturer and potential buyers seeking an informed perspective on this model. Thank you for sharing your experience 👍
Citroen and Stellantis don't seem to be bothered. Every problem is labelled as "product characteristic". Best example is the very bad app, with lots of complaints from tens of thousands customers.
I've had the hybrid for 9 months and my experience is almost the complete opposite of yours. The lane assistance if fine when used on the motorway or A roads, and I switch it off around town and country lanes, when it can be intrusive, but that's true of any car that has lane assist in my experience. It's easy to switch off as you can add it as a shortcut to the display. I don't use ACC much so can't really comment, other than that when I have done it's been fine, no different from my Golf. I've found it to be easily the most comfortable car I've ever driven and if kept charged up the fuel economy is outsanding. The only niggle I've had is the sat nav voice, it's set to an awful american drawl, and can't be changed.
Am I the only person on this planet who thinks this car is rubbish? We recently hired one for a ski trip, and beyond the big boot, and its ability to cruise at high speed the car was rubbish. The car alarm kept going off, the tyre pressure warning light kept coming on despite us constantly checking and adjusting the pressures, the central locking froze (it was minus 20c) and it struggled to drive on even flat ground in the snow. A French car in France in a cold climate, this car was an absolute fail when compared to the vehicle we hired the previous year (Kia Sportage).
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Citroen C5X. It's unfortunate to hear about the challenges you faced during your trip. Your feedback on the car alarm, tyre pressure, central locking, and performance in cold conditions is important. Extreme weather conditions can indeed impact the performance of vehicles. It might be worth reporting your experience to the rental company or contacting Citroen customer service to provide detailed feedback. This way, they can address any potential issues and improve their vehicles.

No car reviews ever discuss the quality of the stereo, really important to me as i dont want to go down the aftermarket route.
I agree and noticed that too.
Great review, shine plus plug in arriving soon
Exciting! Wishing the best with your new Citroën 👍
Nice review
Only problem I noticed is the front cam used while driving have some resolution problem
Thanks for watching 👍 We'll pass this onto the team.
Great looking car and it is also good to see reviewers from a multi- cultural background.
Well done OSV 👍
The Ford Focus Sportstourer is not a contender for the C5X.

Out of interest, will OSV still be producing reviews with Car and Driving in the future?
Sorry, focus sports tourer is its competitor?! No, it isn't, facts, period.
