Do you love her? I mean as soon as I opened the box I audibly gasped - she is so nice. I’m just not used to this quality from a modern day Barbie. 😍😍 I am so glad I got one. 🤗
Thank you Ami! I made the runway last year though I’m not sure I made a video of the process - haha - but super easy and fairly inexpensive. I found little mirror “sticky back” strips on Amazon for a good deal - didn’t need much - just enough to cover a 9x12 wood art panel. Anyway - YES - Miss Sapphire is just so pretty - I’m so glad I got her - I was on the fence so I almost let her pass me by. 😍😍😍
Oh Marna thank you for being my biggest cheer leader! From your lips to Mattel’s marketing department! 😍 Maybe one day they’ll send me dolls to review. 😆😆😆 But yes isn’t she a stunner. If you don’t have her - and if she’s still available I think you should add her to your collection- I don’t think you would regret it. 🤗
She really is stunning and that outfit is so breathtakingly sophisticated too. I was really surprised that she had articulation, I think I was under the impression that Silkstones only came with the bare minimum of movement so it's nice to see that Sapphire has got the moves too.
Re: the articulation- agree I was on the fence before she went on sale but when I found out she was articulated I changed my mind. She has the same articulation as an Integrity Toys doll (none in the ankle - which, I think, you and I agree is preferred. But yeah the outfit is just lovely. I’m really glad I got her.
She's absolutely gorgeous and I love her beauty spot. I had no idea Silkstones could be articulated! Congratulations on getting her and the beautiful Uno cards 💙💙💙
Isn’t she just Fab, Milly? I am so glad I got her. I have another silkstone set to arrive - Mattel was selling a repo of the Swirl Pony Tail Barbie silkstone version and of course I just had to have her. Once she arrives that should be the last of the dolls I get for 2024 (although I will probably get the Bibliophile Blythe).
@@thedollsthewitchandthewardrobe I'm also getting the Swirl Ponytail Barbie! It's rather appropriate for us both seeing as she's based on our birth year Barbie 😄. Bibliophile Blythe looks lovely in the illustration 📚❤️
I got her, too, and $75 is truly a deal, considering the cost of Integrity dolls these days being $160 at a minimum for similar quality (though admittedly, much more limited quantities).
I completely agree - I have a small collection of Integrity Toys dolls and for the price, I think Mattel has knocked it out of the park. I think I got Island Time Poppy Parker for $125 plus tax shipping and handling and I think k Sapphire is comparable with a nicer outfit - and Sapphire is silkstone and I don’t think PP is. At any rate - now I’m instantly wanting the same or better quality for all Mattel Collector dolls. 😆 Is that too much to ask? 😁 Thanks so much for stopping by and watching. 🤗
Ambei you are going to LOVE her. 🤗🤗 What is it with these dolls that when you take them out of the box, they practically come to life. 😁 Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Ole Neo - I ordered her from the Mattel website - they announced her in July as a pre-order - so I ordered her within minutes of the launch on the website - I don’t know if she’s sold out yet though. 🤗
She is beautiful. But those gloves…. Looks like ski gloves for kids, why can’t Mattel pull of gloves anymore?! And keep in mind, those earring can verdigris with time. Keep an eye on that.
Thanks for watching! Totally agree about the gloves. For earrings there’s a little plastic bit that is on there for protection and I’m going to pull them out and put on a thin coat of clear nail polish - maybe that will help?
@@thedollsthewitchandthewardrobe Yes! That is what I’ve done on mine. But some of the first silkstones (early 2000-ish) have a bit of green, and it took me so long time to get rid of. I’m looking forward to get this doll myself, but it’s a hassle now when Mattel doesn’t ship to my country (Sweden)
Oh good to know you tried that and it helped? I’m sorry that Mattel won’t ship to your country- I know many doll collectors in other countries who have the same issue which is such a shame. But thank you so much for the tip about silkstone ears!!! 🤗🤗🤗
She’s a gorgeous doll. I was able to get one of my own. I did think her packaging was like Integrity Toys too.
Do you love her? I mean as soon as I opened the box I audibly gasped - she is so nice. I’m just not used to this quality from a modern day Barbie. 😍😍 I am so glad I got one. 🤗
Wow - she would make anyone want to collect Barbie’s! Wonderful review.
Thank you so much Connie! 🤗🤗🤗
Congratulations!🎉
She really is so beautiful! 🥰💙
Thanks for watching Dorie - I agree - she really is a nice doll - I’m really so pleased with the quality. 🤗
Great video, I love my Sapphire Barbie, she is gorgeous!
Thank you Raquel! Yay!!! You got her too! I think she one of my favs in my collection! 🤗🤗🤗

I love thé vintage look of silkstone
Me too! I love those vintage faces! lol. She’s a beauty. 🤗🤗
She's beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. Also that runway diorama is fabulous!!! Love the mirror background!!!

Love your review, Kim! The scene at the end with her admirers is so fun! 🤩 💙Also, your nails look amazing 🩷 - Kada

She's stunning, and you really showcased her beautifully with this detailed video. I dunno... she's looking kinda Presidential.
Thank you so much and yeeeessssss! I’m with her! All the way! 🇺🇸
Congratulations! She's lovely and a great first siltstone Barbie. Mine is still in the shipper, but I hope to have her out soon. :)

@@thedollsthewitchandthewardrobe they are really special dolls. I have a small collection of the silkstones but each one is incredible.
