by the time my cup is to the bottom my hand is tired of making little rings and my center looks like a complete mess. I wouldn't have thought to put the cup down and ad a second...idk its the little things
Ohhhhh ...this is my all time favorite. Those colors and the softness of the plumage effect along with the jagged hardened rock look....perfect combo of texture effects. High 5.
This turned out beautifully! The red gives it a touch of depth and makes it look like there are pink blossoms floating across. It makes the Bob Ross quote come to mind. "There are no mistakes, just happy little accidents". I want to see if i can get something similar in purples or blues. Thanks for sharing this, it made my morning
MESMERIZING creation ❤️ Loving it! Dried beautifully, loving the texture of the cells & lines on the painting, such character. This painting speaks to the observers 💕
You blow us away every video Mel, this is Wonderful and so interesting watching the Enamels sink like a stone in the cup, Making cells as it interacts for sure.
Beautiful!!! My first trial of this technique was epic fail. I tend to move it around too quickly and end up with zigzagging lines. I'm still trying to get my artist loft decoart white mix figured out, but I'm thinking I'll try 1/2& 1/2 next pour. Thanks for the great videos. Keeps me waiting for the weekend ;)
Wow this is super cool! I was disappointed when the black and red started getting taken over by cells but then ended up also loving the end result too!
So, so, beautiful. Somehow my notifications got turned off for a couple of the channels I normally follow including yours 🤔 Now I have to binge to catch up!
In NO WAY was this a fail of any kind!!! I swear, you are the type who could wear a paper bag and make it look good! lol This turned out extraordinary. ...as usual. Everything you do looks great. I have never seen a piece of your work that I didn't love. As much as I try, I just cannot get the results that you do, by accident or intent!
Just wanted to let you know that I've been playing around with the Satin enamels and the light blue color during the first pour kind of cloud it up definitely lots of line definition and was pretty cool. Pushed my luck and on the second pour it cracked much like the black enamel did on your pour. So I guess I'll be playing around with that more. But the blue color is really really pretty and kind of gives a sky and Cloud effect if I could ever figure out how I did it right the first time!
@@MelyDartist no sweet pea thank you so much for sharing with all of your experiments and all that you do you definitely keep us on our toes. And if nobody's told you lately you are greatly appreciated!
👋 MelyD. So glad you didn’t lose the 👁 it’s cute . Beautiful pour. I have trouble getting the paint to 💋 too. But will keep trying. Take care. Karen NZ
That is just a breathtaking piece! I have watched the video 3 times now and still amazed each time. Is all the white that you are putting into the cups mixed with the satin enamel? Or at any point are you using just plain white beside your base coat? Your answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ever so kindly for sharing your techniques, much much appreciated!
Beautiful. The layer of white you put down on the canvas first was just regular acrylic paint, right? Also, did you have to clean the canvas before varnishing because of the oil in the enamel paint? Thanks!
Superbe ! Pouvez vous me dire si le blanc de chez enamels vous lui ajouter du liquitex dans les mêmes proportions que les autres couleurs ? Merci et bravo 👍🏼
Absolutely love this one, my new fave ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Mely, can I ask what varnish are you using. I love the finish. I have spray sealers a s was just wondering what you are using. Thanks buddy
I always admire your art, MelyD, and this one is no exception! I have a (tangential) question: how do you get all of the acrylic off of your hands?! Whenever I am working with acrylics, I end up rolling little balls/peels of paint off of my hands and fingers for days ... well, at least for a very loooooong while! :-)
I think that might be because of the products you're using. Since I use a lot of paint (which comes off easy with water) a little pouring medium and the rest water then it's easy for me to wash off my hands. I don't know about floetrol but I see people use more of it then paint in they're mix so if that's your case, then maybe that's your problem ;)
Very nice !!! Do you add a splash of PM to your white also or just water. ?? I tried your "recipe" a couple days ago of just a small amount of PM & water to my paints and it worked perfect not much different from the 2:1 or more that every other video says to use so that will definitely save me on the PM. Expressionist Artist is another channel i watch and she doesnt use any water at all & gets great results . I'm pretty new and practicing A LOT so I have a lot to learn about density & colors and everything else that goes along with all the different techniques & styles I've seen .. Also have you ever worked with Unicorn Spit ?? I couldn't find any of your videos listing it and I've only saw it on Mixed media girl& I was just wondering what your thoughts are on using it ? 😁😁😁😁😁
@ 3:39 was my favorite. Still the end result is stunning. Too bad a lot of the red got lost, but the texture on the varnished piece looks great. TFS 💖🎈
You are brilliant with that little separate center pour. You've just fixed life for hundreds of frustrated ring pourers:)
Really? What do you mean by that?
by the time my cup is to the bottom my hand is tired of making little rings and my center looks like a complete mess. I wouldn't have thought to put the cup down and ad a second...idk its the little things
Very unique looking! Love the way the red almost looks like lava coming from underneath a cloud cover! Stunning!
You still my favorite pour artist, your work is amazing and beautiful. You have a special talent.
Thank you so much I really appreciate you telling me this :)
Looks like marble , a geode or quartz! Beautiful, I love this!

The details are just INSANE!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the colours in this!! Beautiful!!

The dried results are better than the wet this time. Love it!
I love the depth.....Resin would really bring out the 3D!!! Gorgeous!

Also, I just love how the enamels (specifically white) make paintings look like opals or mother of pearl!
Wow! Those cells totally covered up that dark space! Amazing!
Gorgeous as always, Mely!!!
You were so calm in the storm! The results are so unusually beautiful.
You blow us away every video Mel, this is Wonderful and so interesting watching the Enamels sink like a stone in the cup, Making cells as it interacts for sure.

Thank you so much! I only put the satin enamel mix into the cup :)
Love this one 😘 your paints are thinner than fluid artists I feel. Kiss pour might have failed but end result is awesome 👏🏻
Love everything about this one ,the eye gave me chills I am glad it stayed through the drying process.

Yes it was and I've never cleaned off a canvas before varnishing.
White blood cells clogging an artery. or an artery with plaque build up. Beautiful...Well done. Gonna get some enamel and give this a try.
I love it😁!!!

Was the intense bright red the Amsterdam? It's like a fiery inferno! Love it.
Still beautiful! What is the recipe for Decoart satin mix, please?
Meli, how can your white goes on the bottom of the cup every time you put it on top of other color? I cannot do it, no matter how much I tried
just love it downunder
do you ever use a torch on your paintings?
Bellísimo !!!!
Very cool
Do you put satin enamels in your base coat or just in the ring pour?

Awesome work! I just want to know does the white enamel paints have to be from decoart or can it be white enamel house paint?
Try it out and let me know if it works ;)
oh,at the end very different.
Before so much blood coming out of a big wound.
"great job"
Bet it will cell up. Wish it would stay as you first made. Any way to not have so many cells?
