Consistency consistency consistency. It is the main driving force no matter what technique, but absolute truth when it comes to cloud mix. Now I get that my failures have not been my cloud mix but the choice of color brands. Thank you for making it straight forward. Liquitex has a very large spectrum of colors that we can mix paints to get what we want. Thank you for this video. Glad this painting sold. Stay well and safe. Take time to put a smile on your face and heart. What did it for us was being gifted with a new dog. He has changed us from being sad and fearful too, cautious, and happy.
I keep coming back here. THANK YOU again and again. I love how humble you are and love uour curocity that took you on this path to discover the cloud receipe. 🥰
At last! Someone that can explain properly and pedagogic! I have always used a separate base coat/pillow and let it float an, but thats makes it obiesly too easy floating, the cloudmix doesnt stretches enough. So without an extra pillow, only the 2 underlaying layer to float on, I got perfect clouds! Sooo simple! Skip the pillow!! THANKS!!
Wow meeting the legendary Melly D. The guru of my gurus. They talk so much about you and your discovery. I am in awe. Bravo. Happy to be here. will try this tomorrow mixing it today. Have lots of Liquitex basic so I am happy. Thank you so much. Love your genuine manner you are real. Welcome to my journey. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you thank you thank you!! I’m so grateful for this recipe!! I’ve never been able to achieve a good cloud pour. Water!! Who knew that was the missing ingredient!! You are such an amazing artist!! Merci
I got to tell you the way you explained how to do these was really incredibly detailed and when you did your poor and you knew what was going to happen was amazing thank you so much for your expertise
The Liquitex Pouring Medium helps so much!!! ❤️ I've ran out before and it isn't the same with just floetrol. The Liquitex Pouring Medium gives that "pebble" effect too. Thank you for this mixture. I STILL (even last night in my LIVE video) mention you all the time in appreciation for the cloud mix formula.
there is a difference then! I wish I could speak for Floetrol but I've never tried it. I thought it resembled pouring medium and that's why most people use it. Thanks for this Heather and for mentioning me! :)
Your cloud pour is my #1 fave of all pours , I've always used your mix and it took some practice of course but when I finally got it I was soooo happy .. I wasn't going to give up till I got it right. Now to this day whenever I am having trouble with a different technique or get frustrated with a certain pour I just put it down & walk away for a bit and come back and do your cloud pour just to clear my mind and bring myself back to "center" ... a good cloud pour always makes me feel better & relaxes me. I have tons of them laying around in my art room. Lol . Your puddle pours with the finger swipe is another all time fave & I've NEVER called it by any other name than Melys finger swipe pour no matter how I lay my paints down I love the feeling of running my fingers through the paints . You have came up with & shared many great techniques to the pouring world & you will always be the inspiration behind those pours for me. Its good to see you excited over your cloud mix ...I love it !!! 😘😘😘😘 (apron lady lol)
