Brings back memories of Tokyo Xtreme Racer games back from the 90s/early 2000s. They were such good games.

This game has midnight club levels of customization and yet a full AAA company like EA still can't do customization like this nowadays which is wild
That part might be a licensing issue beyond the company’s control. Same goes for damage models nowadays it seems.

I like how the faces and plates are blurred out. It really gives it that underground gritty vibe
The atmosphere in this game is what is missing in games these days. Hope to see a lot of cars
Using google to convert yen to US dollars, that 35,000 yen roof wing equals out to $247.60 and honestly I'd say that's a pretty accurate price for that little bit of kit.
Bear in mind that the game is set during the late 90s or early 2000s so the actual conversion rate would be quite different (the $247.60 conversion is for 2023, not whatever year the game is set in).
Yoooo, Christmas present from the dev? Great timing! Been waiting for this game since its first footages. I love the whole vibe and atmosphere. It's clear that the game was made with tonns of love and passion. Huge props to the dev.

everyone mentioned the motion blur, but nobody mentioned about the sound design while going fast? its just like real life!!
Yo the guy that made this has a deep love for classic Jdm tuning, looking through the modifications just on the wing alone I spotted C-West, URAS (my favourite tuning company), supermade. On the bumpers I spotted BN sports, GP sports, Origin, Veilside. All super old school classic jdm parts. Love it.
Also Theo, it’s a classic jdm aesthetic styled game, presumably set in the 90’s. Chassis mount wings weren’t a thing back then, atleast not on street cars
This game will become very popular and will set a new standard. Also the fact that one guy is doing all of this is beyond impressive. Man if I knew how to make games I’d help this man for free because the passion is unmatched.
The sense of speed is something we’ve yearned for in racing games for years
This game looks so sick, I hope it’ll come to consoles at some point. I don’t know if it will but I’ll be watching if you do a series on this for sure.
i dont think, many small games cant pass the requirements to get on consoles, and i find pretty hard fot this (altough is still in its embrional state)

the devs said once the pc port is stable they’ll start looking into consoles
I’ve now played 8 hours of this and have almost completely built my first car out and I love that the other drivers in the PA will comment on you car the more you build it as well as if you bought and auto or manual.

this is amazing, this game is exactly what i want out of a racing game, its crazy the amount of work that has been done. i also glad its a small group that have achieved and created this awesome game as they wont try and get licenses which means we can use unique cars that no other game will let you use on a good game that lets you customize to this extent. Can;t wait to try it out

With Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Shotoku Battle) long in the past, this feels like a gritty spiritual successor to that series, and I'm all for it!
14:00 I actually kinda like the “press a button to bring up the gps” thing, it’s different and more realistic (normally you have to look away from the road to check the gps, unless u have a very modern car with heads-up or smthn)

I am really hyped for this game.
The game looks amazing, but they really need to work on navigation/gps stuff. For me who have driven on the shutoko both in-game(for like a million times) and in-person, I have no problem remembering the PAs, JCTs and large tolls. But the ramps and smaller tolls? I would easily get lost on finding those without a proper navigation as well😂
If you notice all the body part names are actually from the ug2 to carbon games

The last time I saw an directional arrow was La rush for the ps2, nice to see they’re still useless for actual directions lol, funnily enough the race starts and speed effects are also the same.
it looks like they used the modded traffic map they use on assetto corsa but built a game around it that allows customization and a story
