The thing I love about this game is that there's is so many different elements you have to worry about like your engine overheating, debt, taking over a parking lot and money management for upgrades. Gives the game an actual challenge and a reason to keep playing and to keep going something that most modern racing games lack like FH5.
However, the weirdest thing is the way engine damaged is not on faster rate but instead of slow rate like if you missed the gear, it wont blow your engine, but instead it will forced you to slow down till it reached the red RPM. Moenyshifting also not worked, I already tried them many times but it wont allowed me to do it because it was over-rev until you slowed down about 2000 rpm and they will allow you to downshifting normally. This was not the case for GT1 because you can allow them downshifting immediately but your car will not working properly like braking and cornering locked until the RPM hit at correct zone. But, I like the way it modify your car to the extent where the difference between Sturdy and Fragile engine will affect your power to the point where damaged engine wont give you optimal power unlike Sturdy engine that always give you full power everytime. I will support them more once they released the game officially, the Demo still need more improvement but it does have way more content than most Racing games nowaday.
It's more realistic I'd say... Except for being still a video game 😅 But that's maybe all what you should really care about being a street racer in Japan... Your debts, your car, your crew, the feds, the cuts for the jakz, parts you need, time to fix and build your car, 😅

I really like the fact that they introduce the concept of mechanical sympathy into the game. In other games, you can shift from 6th to 1st gear without your gearbox spontaneously combusting.
I think it's worth noting that the Skyline in the game right now is RWD, not AWD. You can find this information in the auction house, where the listings for the "Sykina GST-R" all claim that it's a RWD car.

Very nostalgic feel, reminds me of Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 (aka - Shutokō Battle 2) for Sega Dream Cast. Lost hours playing with friends fighting over sharing the controller to race all the different car clubs! It was a great time. Team "Wanderer" = Best Rivals
if this released on console with a smooth multiplayer lobby with at least 8-12 people, this game will EASILY beat forza and need for speed. even now its a top tier game even though its still under heavy development.

Your engine is still yellow cause you've bought a poopy car. If you want to build a truly best car look for Sannis 200RS, its a 6 speed (Not 180RS which is a 5 speed manual). And aim for Grade 5. Its really rare, I've only managed to buy a grade 4 car. Grade is your engine quality, and these cars usually have really low milage, my car was also customized before I bought it which is cool. (You can see on the paperwork which part of the car is modified by looking at the car drawing, the "X" marks the modified areas)

your engine light stayed yellow because of the mileage. when you buy a car from the bottom of the list it only has a couple thousand and it’s green. mileage ruins the engine in this game too and it gets yellow to orange to red

The Sakura mod isn't compatible w/ the Steam version.
You'll need an older version from 0.992 to 0.9946 in order for the Sakura Mod to work.
